This ice cream and candy is as good as it gets. I always go with the local favorite which is black raspberry chocolate chip. This ice cream is salty as it is sweet. I always get two scoops in a chocolate dipped waffle cone followed with a side of an «afternoon nap»! We also like their signature milk chocolate candy bars which also serve as a great holiday gift!

Sweet serendipity! My Mariano’s in Chicago just started distributing Graeter’s ice cream in Chicago so when we planned a long weekend to Cincinnati and saw they had a store front, it was a must visit destination! The gentleman helping us was so sweet and friendly, and we were able to taste several flavors, but obviously I was dead set on something with chocolate chips in it! Over the course of the weekend I tried Strawberry chip, Mint chip and Buckeye chip — what other ice cream basically puts bars of chocolate in their ice cream?! Plus the ice cream itself was luxurious! Great experience from start to finish!

What’s not to love about Graeter’s? We usually frequent the Ft. Thomas location but today we were in OTR and it was a perfect day for ice cream. First off, the gentleman working was so welcoming and nice! He gets several gold stars for giving excellent customer service. That alone made our visit outstanding. Today I tried the black raspberry gelato for the first time. You get the same great taste of their signature flavor but a bit less indulgent but very creamy and light. Right now they have a seasonal flavor of orange cream which my husband raves about. It’s the closest thing to an ice cream flavor he misses from his hometown in Chile. I’m so glad Graeter’s is in OTR because there’s no other ice cream shop around!

I can’t tell the difference between good ice cream and really good ice cream. It was just ice cream to me. I tried the signature black raspberry chocolate chip. It was aight. I obviously liked it because it was ice cream, but I feel like the flavor tasted a little fake to me? Is a black raspberry just a blackberry?! I do like that they try to use locally sourced dairy!

The ice cream was good. Apparently, they are known for their chocolate chips in the ice cream… They were ok. The three rating is partially due to the staff that seemed bored with his job.

Awesome ice cream and the staff was so nice and generous! I came in with my 4 year old and they hooked her up. Above and beyond. The facility is also very clean.

Grater’s is always a winner! If you’ve never had it before, you need to know that Graeter’s is known for their enormous chocolate chips. So be sure to order a flavor that comes with those. Their most famous flavor is Black Raspberry Chip. Even if you’re not usually a fruity ice cream fan, I would at least recommend that you sample it. Because they’ll let you sample as much as you want! Now, this location might be a little busier than others. They don’t have their own parking lot, so you’ll have to find a meter or go to a garage. And this place is sometimes understaffed. I just went this past Saturday around 3p. There was a group of six of us and a few other people in and out and only one guy there to scoop and run the register. I don’t know how he did it, but he got it done! If you plan on becoming a regular, get a rewards card! Once you’ve spent $ 100, you get $ 5 free! Also, you get a free sundae on your birthday!

We stopped here after Lumenaria. They seemed a bit understaffed that night, but we were happy to wait. We were even able to snag a table. This Graeter’s seems more like ye olde ice cream shoppe than the typical store. Loved the higher ceilings and spaciousness that is often lacking in their standard store. Of course I had to get the mocha chip, my favorite, with whipped cream(cannot have ice cream without whipped cream!). Yum! Happy to have this option for dessert in OTR!

While Graters is not my most favorite ice cream place, they have great service at this location. I ordered a «something drinkable that tastes like turtle» and the guy totally delivered!!! I wish I had asked him what was in it because that is my new favorite milk shake. I will definitely come back to this place the next time I am craving a shake. I also love the fun flavors.

Excellent ice cream and people watching in the OTR. Glad we saved room for dessert. I enjoy Graeters, I don’t recall ever having it as a teen in the Cincy area. Whenever I’m in the area now I stop in for some of the best ice cream I can recall. Good thing it’s available locally, but I try to limit my intake… for obvious, waistband expanding reasons!

Every time I’m in Cincinnati I have to stop at Graeter’s at least once! This time it was a visit to the Vine St. location when we walked around Fountain Square. Super clean location, conveniently located, and friendly staff! I got the watermelon sorbet(waaayyy too sweet for me) and the cotton candy ice cream(one of the most delicious things to ever touch my tongue). Yum!

Always a treat I HAVE to get when I’m in Cincinnati. The salted caramel and cookies cream are very good, but my favorite is the black raspberry chocolate chip! I recently read it was chosen as a top 5 ice cream flavor nationally. I love the chocolate chunks in them, and the purple color looks so cool!

Yep, upon a visit to this chain in their flagship hometown, we learned the new locations in Illinois are a good and accurate reflection of the original. This particular store is in a great location in the middle of all the trendy restaurants in the historic OTR district, and it’s hard not to just stop in here for dessert or whatever.

Who doesn’t love Graeter’s? It’s a great location on Vine, perfect for wandering over after(or before) a meal in OTR. Of course the most popular flavor is black raspberry chip, which is delicious as always. There’s limited seating inside. I also like Toffee Chip, Mocha Chip, and pretty much anything else. I think more access to Graeter’s is always a good thing.

I’m not a huge ice cream fan but I do prefer the fancy stuff. After eating and drinking way too much at the bars/restaurants down the street, my friend said I have to have Graater’s if visiting Cincinnati. I just had a single scoop of the signature chip flavor and by golly it was pretty damn good. All the other flavors looked tempting as well but this one was awesome. I’m a believer and I’ll try when I’m back in town. It was also cool that a restaurant we went to the next night had Graeter’s on their menu. Good stuff.

Can anyone say anything negative about Graeter’s? Located conveniently in the heart of OTR, this location is close enough to grab a treat after dinner or as a pit stop as you’re barhopping the area. I love the roomy, comfortable feel inside and availability of seating. My favorite flavor is the Toffee Chip, but I’m no Graeter’s expert; I’m sure there are plenty of other flavors that are outstanding as well, but Toffee Chip has never let me down. Always worth a visit in Cincinnati!

What a great place to come hang out when you’re crazy and waiting an obscene number of hours just to have dinner at an OTR restaurant and you’ve run out of stores to duck into and all the bars are just as crowded and it’s too cold to just be outside waiting and waiting just to eat a decent meal. When the bestie and I had been up and down Vine Street(in the cold) trying to ride out a 2 hour wait for The Eagle, we finally decided to go into Graeter’s for coffee. Never realized this place had such good coffee! The staff didn’t have much to say about us taking up a table for almost 45 minutes and we were in the perfect spot when The Eagle finally calls. No need to get into the other stuff. Everyone knows Graeter’s is amazing!

Brought some out-of-town friends in here this past Saturday, and they did not disappoint! The fella working there was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered a pumpkin ice cream malt with a shot of espresso, whipped cream, and cherry on top. It was phenomenal! The guy said he’d never made that particular combination before, but it was perfect! The store was clean. I found I didn’t need to talk the ice cream up because our friends were impressed enough with the service and the cleanliness and décor that they didn’t need any convincing! I’m so glad this is part of the revitalization that’s happening in OTR!

The newest edition to Vine street has been a long time coming. Finally an ice cream shop, and… it’s GRAETERS! The layout of the shop is very standard. Bright and airy with floor to ceiling windows up front. They are know for their black raspberry chip and their infamous sundaes. But the geniuses that be have called upon the gods to introduce the pretzel cone. Yes you heard me correct. A salty delicious pretzel cone that houses your deliciously sweet treat. Seeing as I am not a huge fan of chocolate or sweets I love the addition of the salty cone. I would suggest getting the peanut butter or chocolate as it really brings out the flavor. Seems crazy I know but the pretzel cone may just be the next big thing. Stop by on a nice day, a date night or whenever you’re craving everyone’s favorite Cincinnati treat!
