Chase Bank

My local branch of Chase is great, but have big issues with the system.
Let’s begin at the beginning.
I started banking with a local bank circa 1992 called Liberty National. It was based in Northern Kentucky. It was purchased by Bank One. And guess what? Two local banks merged into one branch. It was an inconvenience, but I bit the bullet. Fewer branches and more ATM fees.
Next, Bank One was purchased by Chase. And guess what happened? Fewer branches yet again. But I utilized the physical bank less, using online features. But if I needed an atm, I could always go to Speedway, since they all had Chase ATMs. Now they don’t. So the atm map is less than half of what it was before, unless you want to pay a fee. And my local bank atm is further away and harder to get into and out.
I need to cut the bank cord. Already did it with cable and land lines.

This place was hard place to find since they were working in front of the sign. The scaffolding was covering the CHASE sign. I literally walked past this location without noticing it since it is located near the middle of the block. A corner location would make it more visible. They only have one ATM outside with a small teller counter inside. No ATM inside in the branch. The tellers were super nice and pleasant.

This location makes me want to punch someone in the face. Literally the first person I see when I am getting out of the car is getting punched. ONE STAR for being located in the worst location of all time and for not having ANY ATM’S downtown. Chase you are officially the worst! But because I brought in a wad of stripper cash the other day, and you not only counted for me, but also gave me a chocolate cookie while I waited in line, your rating is now three stars, but I am not happy about it.

Located in the financial district on Fourth Street, this Chase bank is the only location in Downtown Cincinnati. Fortunately, it is within walking distance for me or else I’d be driving to the Chase in Newport. Since Fourth Street is one of the main arteries of Downtown, there is no parking near the storefront. The best option is to pull up to the curbside loading zone, throw on your hazard lights, and make quick use of the ATM.
If I need to talk to a teller, I travel by foot. Recently, I stopped by and my account was handled by Brian. He was behind the counter although his business card said «Vice President.» That’s pretty awesome that he was working the floor, plus, he was charismatic. I would actually describe my latest banking errand with him as fun. Never thought I’d be saying that about the bank!
Chase is clean and modern, and the ATM is in a safe, well-​lit area. I’m glad to do business here during the daytime or at the machine after hours.

I’m pretty confident this is the only Chase bank in downtown Cincinnati — ATM or otherwise. It’s my go-​to Chase when I’m on my way from my apartment in Clifton and going anywhere south. There isn’t much parking availability on 4^th street if all you need to do is get cash at the ATM. I recommend using Chase’s «Fast Cash» settings so all you have to do is enter your pin, push one button, and out comes your money and card in less than 15 seconds… then run back to your car so you don’t get a ticket!
