Went in as a walk-in at 3:54pm on a Sunday. There were 3 African American girls there who were not eager to help.(I’m African American.) I asked one girl if I could get my eyebrows done. She pointed toward one of the other girls. I went to her and she said«Do you want to make an appt?» I said yes, I’d like to get my brows done now if possible. She said, «Well I’m actually leaving so I can make you an appt for tomorrow.» I told her no and left. I thought it was odd that they close at 5:30pm and they had no customers, yet I couldn’t get my brows done. And if the girl was leaving why couldn’t one of the other two do them. And if she’s the only one who can do brows she could’ve done them in less than 10 minutes. Nonetheless, I’ll never go back. Not the type of service I’d expect in Macy’s, especially in Kenwood. So if I were you I’d stay away from this place. Especially the big burly African American girl with the dramatic brows. Her attitude stinks.

Such an awesome concept! I love that I can just come and go and my eyebrows are the picture of perfection in 15 minutes. Laura is my eyebrow savior! I like the idea though that if I can’t see my girl Laura(like for the next few months when she’s on maternity leave… eek) that all of the estheticians at the Benefit Brow Bar use the same method for shaping… so I know I’ll be well cared for in her absence. Make sure you make an appointment though! They usually have limited walk in times available and they fill up quickly… especially on the weekends. Park on the back side of the mall by the Macy’s entrance… across from where the old Krogers used to be… you’ll walk in and the brow bar is right on the other side of Michael Kors. You’ll be in and out with perfectly shaped brows in 20 minutes!

It’s all about the brow game — I’ve been trying for a year now to have beautiful arched eyebrows. I’ve been to many salons & have watched countless YouTube videos to achieve the look I wanted. I was ready to give up then I visited The Brow Bar. The two girls working the bar where so sweet and informative. I really appreciated that they mapped out what my eye brows should and where going to look like after they where finished. Once the waxing & plucking was over, each brow is then highlighted with Benefit High Brow & lightly filled in with Benefit Speed Brow. Then, I was sent over to the makeup artist who as a true sweetheart. She concealed all of the redness on my face from the waxing. She was super friendly, showed me the lip color she was wearing(even though it wasn’t a Benefits product) and was very helpful in showing me how to use the new products I bought.(I’m a makeup junkie — I knew I would end up buying some products. They didn’t pressure me or hard sell me into anything). Before I left I made another appointment. I won’t be doing my own eyebrows anymore!

Not as impressed with the way my brows were done this time. The esthetician seemed like a great person, otherwise I would have given just 2 stars — she offered me a bottle of water, customer service was great, and I enjoyed talking to her as she was working. But for the amount of time she spent on my eyebrows and the repeated waxing and tweezing over the same areas, leading to redness all over and several raised bumps, I was not satisfied with the results. I feel like I could have done the same thing myself at home, because all she really did was clean them up… and not very well, seeing as there were still many strays that I had to tweeze out later myself. Also, the shape looks far less smooth and streamlined than I would expect from a salon. I should add that they are currently in the process of hiring a Benefit Brow Bar employee, and the lady who works on brows now specializes in facials for Ulta and is kind of the stand-in person in the meantime. I think I’ll wait a few months til they get that new person in before coming back.
