We want to give kudos to Jorge Sainz and he deserves the 5 star rating. He initially helped me when I was looking to upgrade my phone from an Appl 4S to the 6S Plus a few months ago. We can very much say that Jorge was very professional, cordial, personable and his customer service demeanor was beyond reproach; we wish others were like him. He knew his product line and answered all the questions we had, and we had some good ones. It was one of the best experiences we had with Verizon; unlike the other store I won’t mention where a person would provide BS to make a deal so we left. Verizon, you have a great asset having Jorge Sainz being part of your team.

First of all. Forget even thinking about coming here. Staff acts as if they are being bothered, as if they are doing me a favor. When it was finally my turn I was told I needed to pay $ 100 for a new phone even though I had insurance. I decided to go to another Verizon store and wala, I did not need to pay a dime. My insurance covered my phone. The representative even explained that the phone would be shipped overnight and all the shipping costs were covered as well. I’d stay away from these rip offs who don’t know a thing about customer service and who don’t know a damn thing about Verizon and there services. I’d go to the one on H st. They treat you better and are way more knowledgeable. And they really want your service.

Went to this verizon store to try to get a new phone a few days ago and they told me I qualify for a $ 25 monthly discount on my account if I get a phone on a payment plan. So I go back in today to finally get the phone and this guy tells me the discount is for $ 20. When i told the him i had walked in a few days earlier and had received different info, he told me it was wrong info and that the plans had changed only a few days before. I was about to buy the phone and the guy tells me they don’t have the phone I wanted. So we walk out and head on next door to Best Buy. We talked to a cellphone salesperson and she tells me that there IS a $ 25 discount I qualify for and they DID have the phone I was looking for. Not only did I get the phone I wanted but as the sales girl was inputting my info she says «oh, you get a $ 50 gift credit». So the total amount I will be paying for this phone is about $ 80 total (that’s including 24 monthly payments). Had i taken the «deal» the verizon salesman was offering me I would’ve payed more in the long run… if you are thinking about changing your plan with verizon, do your research and make sure you speak to someone who knows what they’re doing. I will give the guy credit for trying to find the phone in other locations and for being patient. I can’t remember his name.

So I spoke to a Jonathan who greeted us and said that he will help me with a return of a tablet «special» that they cheated me on. Long story short he said he was going to go get the manager and general manager Alma completely ignored us for 20 minutes while they helped a couple that came in after us. I asked Alma if she was busy and she said that she was. I watched her for 20 minutes tinkering with the phones and accessories in the store. I approached her again and she said that she is waiting for the greeter to help me. Infuriated, I told her that he said he had to get her. What kind of manager manages this way?! I needed help and she avoided the situation completely. Jonathan, who was the door greeter showed more management and customer service then his general manager.

I wish you can give negative stars because EVERY time I’ve come to this Verizon I’ve gotten really bad customer service. My first time here, I was trying to upgrade and they kept handing me off to other employees who just kept handing me off to others and didn’t help me, I left and did my upgrade at Best Buy. Second time here, I wanted to add 2 lines to my account and they did the same exact thing so I went to Best Buy again. Third time, my mother did not want her iPhone anymore and instead wanted to get a flip phone (she’s old, I get it) and the worker just kept ignoring everything I was saying, trying to push other phones on me, even tried to get her to keep her iPhone, even rudely gave me a look like «why would you down grade?» HELLO! LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMER! He finally grabbed a flip phone and started to ring it up and I noticed it wasn’t the right phone, then he went to the back for a long time and finally came back saying he didn’t have the phone. He just didn’t seem to want to help me so I decided to leave. I was pissed. I left letting them know they’ve given me shitty service 3 separate times.

I was shocked to see all the bad reviews on here about this Verizon location. I came in today to upgrade my phone and by far the BEST customer service I’ve seen at other Verizon locations! They actually were patient, made sure I was getting the best deal and made sure they took care of me. The manager and just every staff member that I encountered with today were amazing. If I have any more issues or dealing with anything Verizon I’m coming here. I came in with 2 iPhone 5c to upgrade and came out with 2 iPhone 6+ and paid 100 each. I think the guy that I worked with name is Jose and he’s amazing and cares about his customers. Love this place and will be back thanks a lot for helping me today

My boyfriend and I came to the verizon store to add him on to my account because he had a very unpleasant experience with sprint. As soon as we came in we where greeted by Diego and asked us what we where coming in for. I told him I wanted to add another line on to my account he helped us right away he explained everything to us. Diego was very friendly and very helpful I really think he did a great job helping us. Second time I come here and have nothing bad to say.

I wish that there were a way to choose negative stars. If there was, this place would get several negative stars from me. My husband and I went in to upgrade his phone and potentially add a line to his contract. We were excited when the sales associate (named STEPHANIE) told us that he was eligible for an early upgrade with the «edge program». She told us that we would be able to upgrade his phone from a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to a Note 4 and that I could get one as well. Stephanie convinced us that under the new plan we would be paying for, our bill would go up less than $ 10 a month thanks to the shared data cost of $ 40. She had us sit far from the counter and wait while she did the upgrade, only coming over to have us sign things. She did my phone first. Stephanie brought us the phone along with a phone case that she said was a gift (I now know that she gave us the phone case because she had screwed up far before we were informed about any problems). After another ten minutes, she came back to tell us that my husband’s phone wasn’t eligible for an upgrade for another few months. SURPRISE! But we couldn’t change our minds on my phone because the line had already been established. We were very frustrated since the initial reason for our visit was to upgrade his phone. Had she done his phone first and realized he wasn’t eligible for an upgrade, we would have just come back a few months later when he could upgrade. She of course knew this.
To make up for the «inconvenience», she gave us a Mifi mobile hotspot for «free”(we only had to pay the tax). She did not explain to us that it now had its own line on the contract and that we would be paying $ 20 a month for it unless we wanted to pay the $ 200 to cancel the line (I found this out later when I called and spoke to a Verizon representative about the HUGE increase in my bill). I forgot to mention that while she was setting up my new line, we called to have the phone number changed to something easy. The phone number changed by a single digit. The last number changed from 1 to 2. I was later charged $ 15 for this and told by a Verizon customer service rep that I could have done it for free had Stephanie chose the automated option. On the new plan, my husband and I were to share 10 gb of data and unlimited talk and text. Stephanie told us that the two phones would share the $ 40 cost of the smartphone access. Later on when we got the first bill, that was not the case. Since my husband’s phone hadn’t been eligible for an upgrade, he wasn’t switched over to the edge program. In fact, it turns out that she was «mistaken», and he wasn’t due for an upgrade until February of 2016. A whole year from now. So now, we are paying $ 40 a piece for smart phone access along with $ 20 a month for a mobile hotspot (i should tell you i’m a stay at home mom and have no need for a mobile anything). We are now paying $ 90 more a month than we were before the whole ordeal. My husband and I have never felt so taken advantage of in our lives. We have been Verizon customers for many years and feel that the company was severely misrepresented by this «associate». I found out after several phone calls to customer service the source of all the charges. They can not be disputed and we now we are stuck with what we have. If you are looking to do anything with Verizon, make sure that you go to the store on H St by the Chula Vista mall. That is a corporate store. This one is not. After reading some other reviews on this store, it looks like we aren’t the only ones who were dooped. I intend to pursue legal action. If you wee taken advantage of by this, or any other associate at this store, maybe you should too.

Husband stole my charger because he’s got no game useless worthless piece of shit and the charger I got was not working on my phone and it was stressing me cuz my phone wouldn’t get a good charge after I got word that my husband broke into my house through the back door I had to make a pit stop on my way to Verizon and at 10 minutes till closing the guy hooked me up with the charger let me see that it worked and I think I’m good to go gave said POS opportunity to just do the right thing that’s not his style. he’d rather steal from you sell your stuff go to the casino and lose is money leave you with nothing and now you have to replace it that’s how David G rolls now I just have to replace the house windows he broke (look for review of lemon Grove glass tomorroe) to the house and the car handle for my door and my razor.

Is there a way to leave less than one star? If there is not, then one will have to do. This place is awful. Was having a problem with my phone deleting pictures. Waited for 40 minutes only to be told by the person who was tasked with helping me (I will not say his name) that he doesn’t know. He then goes on a tangent about how he does his pictures in the cloud ect. Guess what, I DO NOT CARE how you do your pictures. We then go through about another 10 minutes of useless babble before I take my phone and leave. An hour of my life I will never get back. This store is complete garbage. Do not waste your time here.

This place is just horrible. I was told on the phone my a Verizon associate that my husband and I were eligible for upgrades. We went into the store to check out the phones. We settled on the Samsung S5. They wanted to charge us $ 100 MORE than what the price was. Luckily I had checked prices before we went in. Total rip off. Thanks for wasting an hour of my time.

Honestly I have idea why this place has such bad reviews… I was helped today by both rob and roberto. I purchased a car charger for my iPhone 5 here and left all happy ready to charge my phone. I get in my car and FAIL. Doesn’t work. I return to the store with my new car charger and let them know that it doesn’t work, the manager rob helps me and comes out to my car in the parking lot to see what the problem is. Still won’t work. We go back inside and he brings out at belkin charger and plugs it in… Doesn’t work in my car either. Super weird. I let him know that I’m willing to get a converter instead because my car has a iPhone 4 hook up and I just need the 5 converter. We do the exchange and it’s more expensive but I didn’t care. I really appreciated the effort they both put in to take care of me. Overall just nice dudes with good attitudes.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I went there intent on canceling my service with verizon and switching to t mobile even more so, because of the horrible customer service I received at the Verizon on H street. I walked in and I was greeted in a very friendly manner by a sweet lady named Alma. I explained to Alma that I was planning on switching to T mobile and about the horrible service I received at the verizon on H street. Alma apologized for the way I was treated and stated that she did not want to lose me as a customer. The funny thing is that this store was busier than the one on H street and I was still treated with respect and courtesy! Alma informed me that I was eligible for a law enforcement discount, I went out to the car and got my badge and Alma enter my information into the system. Thanks to Alma Verizon has a customer for life, I told Alma that she should give a training to folks over on H street. I plan on going back this weekend with my wife and purchasing new phones for the both of us. I will make sure to tell my family, friends, and coworkers to go to the Verizon on Broadway and to stay away from the verizon on H street. I hope Alma is recognized for her excellent customer services skills, she definitely made my day!

Terrible management and careless associates.
I had a horrible experience at this store. Sales Associate Irma «helped» my mom and I. For starters, she wasn’t engaging at all, and being aware that they were about 30 minutes from closing, she obviously didn’t want to start a new sale. First of all, we had two upgrades and planned on getting two new phones. Not only did she feed us bullshit like we didn’t pay for insurance monthly, she said we weren’t eligible for any upgrades.
We called Verizon, ordered a new iPhone 5 (For WAY less than their prices) and went to Best Buy and spent less than $ 200 for a Galaxy S3. My family had been with Verizon since 1995 and have never received such awful service.

Went here on a Sunday and the parking situation sucks. We had to park a 10 million miles away just to get parking.
I hate how the podium setups are so close together. Myself and my partner didn’t even fit in the little «window space».
Not to mention the guy helping us was horrible.

They have the worst customer service. They are mean and have no patients. Please go to H&Broadway, they are great.

Busy, the customer service was better than what I received at the location on H St. & Broadway, and my only complaint was the music that was blaring.

In February of 2012 I stopped in the Verizon store at 67 N Broadway to checkout new phone options for my 2-​year renewal. They had someone greeting customers at the entrance. He kindly asked how he could direct me. He was professional enough BUT that’s where the good part ends!
When I said I was interested in doing an upgrade he asked another employee further in the store if he could come and help me. The employee just shook his head ‘no’ and resumed what he was doing on a computer. HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL and TACKY. The correct response would have been, «I’m working on something else but let me get someone else to help him». SAY SOMETHING! He made no eye contact with me whatsoever.
He wasn’t actually with another customer and he wasn’t on the phone so I don’t know if he was on a break or what. The person who greeted me initially at the door did wind up finding someone else.
If this is the way Verizon trains its store employees, they need some serious house cleaning and customer service retraining! It will be the last time I stop in this particular Verizon store. I’ve visited many of these stores over the years and this location is by far the worst in terms of employee attitude and professionalism.
I’ll gladly handle my business with 3^rd party vendors such as Sam’s Club or online via Amazon Wireless or Wirefly instead. Better yet, switch to another provider.
UPDATE ¹⁄₁₃: I’ve since switched to Wal Mart’s Straight Talk service. I bought a Nexus phone from the Google Play store which I really own so I’m not on a contract. I simply went to the Straight Talk website and ordered a AT&T SIM card and installed it with the phone number they gave me. I then called to have the old Verizon number ported over.

I do not recomend going to this location! I would rather drive an extra 7 miles to the next location! The mannager lost a piece of my replacement phone (the back cover) and tried to give me a old scratched up one. They also supposedly lost their backup software and had to re-​download it which supposedly took an hr on a T1 interntet line. I have just sucssesfully downloaded the software in literally 5mins. please do not goto this location the mannager is rude about things hes not sure about or does not know!

My parent’s were insistent I have a cell phone my senior year in high school. How embarrassing. What I really wanted was a pager but those were going out of style fast (circa 1998).
Remember, back then Verizon was Airtouch Cellular. Yeah, I had those Zack Morris phones where you use your entire hand to dial. Score!
Fast forward a few years, we didn’t have issues with Verizon. That is until my dad passed away. You see, all of the phones were under his name and when he passed, we wanted to disconnect for financial reasons. Legit right?
My mom and I walked into the Verizon store and waited politely to disconnect our phones. The guy at the counter was a complete and utter DICK! He refused to cancel our phones because he needed my dad’s confirmation. Uh hello! Did you just not hear he’s passed on? My mom ended up yelling at the guy (imagine a 4’5″ woman who just lost her husband yelling) and he completely walked away from her. He came back with his manager trying to calm the situation. The asshole manager wanted an «actual death certificate» in order to cancel our phone? Seriously? Needless to say my mom threw a fit in the store for it’s ridiculous standards.
We came back with the death certificate, canceled our phones and called the worker an «insensitive asshole» as we walked out of the store.
I’m quite happy with AT&T. Screw you Verizon!
