Seriously, I’ve reviewed two previous business at this exact location; I hope this one stays for a while. So, The Mayan Deli pretty much is limited as to what they can make in their small kitchen due to codes and regulations from the city(owner informed me). They have a grand variety of creative sandwiches that sound good. I, however, ordered the traditional vegetarian sandwich that was freshly filled with sprouts, lettuce, tomato, onions, avocado, peperoncinis, olives on rye bread. The sandwich filled me up just right and it was healthy. But, since I chose the veggie sandwich, I always tell myself I can make this at home and I always feel bad spending money when I can easily make it myself. Overall, it was a god size, stuffed with fresh vegetables and a solid meal. The place is fairly small, well decorated, clean, stocked up and a creative sandwich menu. I deducted a star because when I handed over my debit card, the cashier pulled out an iphone with a small little device attached to the headphone jack and swiped my card. I knew what she was doing but I was just in shock. I do NOT feel safe nor comfortable in having a transaction done in his method over an iphone. Some geek could be near by on his laptop intercepting my info. Not cool. And, they also ask for your email address in order to send you the receipt. The owner and his wife are friendly people.
