I’ve been really stressed out about moving and not having any time to do anything. Thankfully I had Ricky to help me out because he made this portion of my move so much easier.

Do yourself a favor and spare yourself the headache of working with this place. Owner is a douche and his customer service skills are awful.
Go somewhere else, seriously.

Forgot to mention that last year they did some major improvement by updating their regular doors to the roll up metal doors. Major improvement and better security. I feel that my items in storage are better protected now. Also easier to get by hall ways that were sometimes partially block by the old swing doors. Happy with service & easy access.

When I called around for prices Lorenzo helped me out and he was very attentive and gave me the best price possible. This place made me feel like they really cared about me as a person and didn’t just treat me like a quick impersonal business transaction. I really appreciated that.

Lorenzo was very helpful. The paperwork was fast and the storage unit is reliable. Cheapest prices I have found in San Diego! Highly recommended.

Best storage rates I’ve ever seen! The manager Lorenzo H. took great care of me, and the other patrons! I came in 30 minutes til closing (fault on my side for not checking in sooner) and a couple of other people came in at the same time to pay their storage rent, Lorenzo was the only one working at the time. He quickly prioritized everything and took care of the quick payments before he could give those of us seeking a unit his undivided attention. He helped me find a unit at a WONDERFUL price way cheaper than anything I’ve seen, and he told me they didn’t charge any hidden fees. The next day he called me to follow up on everything. Great customer service, prices and
most importantly safe, clean storage!

When we moved down here, we searched for the cheapest storage place in the area. Normally cheaper is not always better, but these guys are top-​notch; friendly, professional, and most importantly, SECURE!

We came back to this Security Public Storage location after renting from them 2 years ago. So happy the manager Lorenzo is still there. Besides great price, location, and security measures, Lorenzo is a pleasure to do business with. He treats all customers as people, not transactions, and is genuinely nice. He drove us to the unit the first time, made sure we understood how to use the security features, and helped far above and beyond what we expected. Thank you for being there!

Highly recommend this place, especially if you are military. I did a lot of research before choosing a place to store my things. After reading various reviews (of other locations) of people having their things stolen and the management assuming no responsibility, I was very skeptical about storing my things anywhere. But then I ran across the review for this place and I read nothing but GREAT reviews!!! I stopped by the unit to check out prices and that same day I left with a unit. Much thanks to the manager Lorenzo! He caters to military and knows how to run a VERY professional business. He is very courteous and wants to make sure you leave 100% satisfied. I definitely feel that my things will be safe at this storage facility.

Friendly clean and helpful staff. Talked to Mgr Lorenzo Hernandez III, that assisted me with my payment and discussed storage size alternatives to better suit my needs. Rates options vs storage area per square ft very competitive and the overall establishment upkeep is very clean and secure. Best company for all your storage needs.

I decided to stop by today just to check their units and pricing, but ended up renting one of the units right away.
1. The manager (Lorenzo) was super helpful and accompdating. Showed me to different units as I was trying to determine which size of the unit to rent.
2. Manager leaves on site.
3. Place is well kept.
4. Pretty reasonable prices with lots of opportunities for move in specials or discounts. Beats the prices of their neighboring storage competitors.
5. No deposit required. No hildden fees and best of all no contracts.
6. Close to stores such as walmart, bestbuy, old navy.
7. The place looks really secure. They have surveillance cameras and pin pad to be able to enter the premises.
I’m very happy with my decision to use their facility as my storage.

We got here right at 6pm when they were supposed to be closing. Manager Lorenzo hernandez was kind enough to stay 40 min after to help us out and show us the units. He gave us a good deal and was really friendly. This location is ideal because it is close to the freeway and you can access your storage from 6am to 9pm. It is great because I can still make it to the storage after work.

I had a unit previously and am now recommending it to a friend. They chose a 7×10 unit for 71.50 because of a first month half off special that’s currently in effect. I believe the 5×10 unit was going to be in the 50s range. They also rent uhauls on site. It’s seems best to make a reservation since most of the uhauls were already reserved. Jessica in the office was very nice and helpful and was the employee escorting us through the grounds and showing us sizes and quoting us pricing. The property seems very well structured and clean. They issue you a pin to punch in everytime you enter. The manager, whom I met in the office, lived on site and says he checks all alarms that would go off 24 hours a day. They’re office hours are M-​S 9 – 6 and Sun 10 – 4. I even got a free mug just for checking in. :)

I regret ever doing service with the Chula vista location! The staff was extremely rude and un-​helpful, Making this the worst storage experience. I had rented out the storage because I was in the process of moving I received a decent rat for the time that I would need the unit. I had set to move out July 11^th 2014 and my monthly payment was pro-​rated for moving early. The apartment that I was moving to allowed me to move in a day early for a small fee, So I had decide to move in the 10^th of July 2014. So on July 10^th around 6:20pm I had arrived at the Chula vista security storage location to move my things into my apartment. I had paid to move early, I also had paid moves to come and help me with this move on the 10^th of July 2014. Once I arrived to my storage unit I had noticed that my door and lock had been changed. I did not receive a single call, e-​mail, or letter notifying me that there would be changes to the storage doors and locks. So I was very frustrated due to the fact that I had paid money to move in a day early into my apartment but was not able to even open my own storage unit to retrieve my own belongings! I also didn’t understand why I was not told of this change especially when someone that worked there called my phone the day before July 9^th 2014 asking me if I was still moving on the 11^th of July 2014 yet did not inform me that my door and lock was changed I thought that was extremely inconsiderate! Finally the afternoon of the 11^th of July I had received another call from them asking if I was moving out! Of course moving out I wanted to move out a day before but was locked out my own unit! that I had paid for! So I had explained to the woman who called me my frustrations and the money that I wasted to move in a day early instead of receiving a sincere apology she then again asked me «ARE YOU STILL MOVING OUT»! Finally I arrived at the Chula vista location with my movers and trucks ready to move out of the storage and into my apartment. Once I arrived I put in my gate code and it tells me my code was suspended so then I became even more upset having 6 cars behind me down hill and my car at the top once again unable to enter! I got out of my car went into the office and spoke to the girl at the desk I told her I had a few cars down the hill behind me and, asked her if she could open the gate because my code was not working. she then said «hold on let me check on why you cant enter.» she then told me I did not pay my bill and I explained to her that I paid a pro-​rated amount due to the fact I was moving out on the 11^th not staying for a full month. I asked her again if she could just open the gate so I could move my car off the hill and allow the cars behind me to do the same. She was extremely rude telling me that the reason I didn’t receive the letter in the mail about the changing of doors and locks was my fault and I should’ve checked my mail! then with a smirk on her face she continued to waste my time rather then opening the gate and allowing me to come back and sort everything out. the smirking as if she was enjoying the fact I was upset and frustrated was unacceptable, she was not sympathetic about the miscommunication or my frustrations. Another person whose car was down the hill from mines and put their code in the gate for me so I went to my car moved my car to my storage and walked back to the office. The manager was there when I arrived however he was much help either. I explained to him that I paid to have a storage unit that I could access within the appropriate hours of operation and was NOT able to do so due the miscommunication. I don’t understand how they managed to call my cell phone for a bill that I had already paid and continuously contact me about moving out on the 11^th of July but NOT once mentioned to me that my lock had been changed! I would like a full refund due to the fact that I wasted a lot of money in moving but was not able to even get my things to move! I will never use this storage again and I will never refer anyone to this place even though a week before all of this I mad very nice review of this company, then all of this happens! I WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS DO NOT GO HERE!!!

SPS is the best place for storage, great prices and professional service with no added fees. I am on my 3^rd unit here and would not move to ant other place. THANKS SPS

Have been with Security for about 9 months now. They gave me a great deal on a 5 X 10 unit. They have a very convenient location in the middle of town located close to everything and freeways. Their location is very secure and safe as well. They have always helped me out on anything I’ve ever needed question wise or with my unit specifically and get back to me very quick. I would definitely recommend Security Public Storage to a friend.

First time using their service and it was great. I was moving my stuff into a storage unit for a few weeks while I waited to move into my new apartment. Originally I had reserved Uhaul storage space up the street, but the unit’s size was misrepresented. So, I was referred to Security Public Storage. Lorenzo and the staff were very helpful as I explained my situation. I found a large enough space to store my furniture, and at an affordable price. Definitely a place to check out. Thanks guys.

Beware! The on-​site manager Lorenzo seems like a nice guy but he is full of empty promises. We went there to get a unit for 12 months and he told us things we wanted to hear so they can earn our business. He gave us a tour of the property and showed us a couple of units, but none were the ones we wanted. He told us one will come available since they had 20 units sold at auction and they were just waiting for 24 hrs for buyers to empty them out. But when it came down to signing they said they didn’t have the one we wanted after all. Big disappointed!!! They screwed us over and he didn’t seem a bit apologetic at all and we have to move our things tomorrow. Do not give your buisness to them! I give them 0 stars if I could.

Have had a pleasant experience so far. Service is great; the manager Lorenzo Hernandez III is very friendly and helpful. He was reassuring that the property is well secured as he lives on the premises and every unit has an alarm that is activated by a pin code of your choosing. The prices are reasonable especially with all the opportunities for discounts. Military moves can be a hassle and having a reliable storage facility is at times hard to find. Glad we went with this one.

Rude, rude, rude! I was bringing stuff for my grandma and she couldn’t remember the unit number so I called and the lady said she couldn’t give me the info, it was close to closing I asked if she could call she said no and was rude about it so I said okay I’m going to call her to call you. So 1 minute later my grandma calls and the lady puts the machine on! She called 3 times and the machine was on. Keep in mind it had only been a minute or 2 since I talked to her. She knew I was here. Horrible customer service, I would never rent a storage here!!!
