Don’t be fooled. I think this is the worst fried rice I’ve had. It smells and tastes like freezer food. Kinda like its been freezer burned. I don’t think this is made fresh at all. Will not come here again. Such a disappointment and I’m so hungry too :(

This place is a joke, why ask for a pick time and then make you wait for over an hour to deliver the food you pre-ordered a week ago! Horrible customer service!

The salt and pepper chicken wings are a must!!! Best around town… it’s busy so Call and place order before pickup…

Found this place in a strip center where parking was not issue. I was seated immediately on a weekday for the lunch hour. The traffic of clients of dining in and to go was solid. I opted out of the suggested lunch special and went with the seafood hot pot — shrimp, calamari, fish, large black mushrooms, tofu, green onions, carrots and bamboo shoots. The portion was generous, tasty and reasonably priced. I’d certainly recommend or would return here again to check out additional entrée’s next time I’m in the area.

The original salt and pepper chicken I know of. Definitely a must if you’re in the area. Good location in the Von’s parking lot right off Telegraph Canyon. I like to rate a Chinese restaurant by the quality of their Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings. In my opinion, their wings rival the wings from Golden Chopsticks. I would still rather to Golden Chopsticks due to its location. Aside from their wings, I also enjoy their Salt & Pepper Shrimp(unshelled of course!) Can’t go wrong with the wings. Order a party tray for any occasion. Call in ahead to experience a faster service.

I remember when this location opened up, waaay before Otay Lakes! My first dish ever was their orange chicken. Honestly, I have never had a dish I have not liked. Hot Sour, egg drop Soups, all of the soft noodle plates, salt and pepper chicken, cream cheese wontons, cashew, broccoli chicken, kung pao plates, fried rices, the list goes on! And no, definitely, their phone etiquette is not the best when you call for take out. I’ve made a return trip because«NOTAKE American Express». But the grub was ready, hot and delish! I’ll keep coming back again and again.

Terrible customer service! The food is okay considering its take-out and its nearby but I just can’t stand the lady that works there. Rude on the phone(hung up on me when I was asking how much it will cost) and rude when you come In(yelled at my husband«wait!» When he asked for forks). Won’t be returning…

Ordered for pick up. The lady who took my order was rude, didn’t even tell me how long before I should come down and pick up my order because she was in such a rush to hang up. I called RIGHT back to ask when I should come. «WHAT, YESOKAY10MIN» and hung up without saying bye. Food was decent. Not amazing, not bad. Just got the job done.

Pretty legit Chinese food restaurant and Affordable prices. They have about 27 items for the lunch special. Starting at $ 5.99 -$ 7.99. Both come with a soup, and option of entrée with choice of steam or fried rice. I ordered sweet and sour chicken with steam rice. I got to be honest and say that the egg drop soup that came with he special was not good at all. But maybe it was the fact that I was gross out with the color and then the taste. But besides me not finding the soup appealing this place has pretty good lunch specials.

Very delicious, fast service, free fried wonton chips while you wait. I really loved flavor, service, and food! I waited a bit for my water refill but overall I recommend and I will return!

Been coming here for years. Stay with the Shrimp Fried Rice or Broccoli and Mushroom Veggie dishes and you can’t go wrong. They FINALLY wrap the«to go» boxes in plastic so they don’t spill all over the car. Big victory for the us the consumer:-) Wouldn’t hurt the staff they to say«Hello and Thank you» either. Why is this a problem lately with so many small«Non Franchise Restaurants»? Note: Parking is a disaster in this«fender bender» parking lot so park way in the back by the McDonalds and walk a few extra feet and save yourself a headache and an auto body bill.

Really good food, exceptional lunch deals but terrible, TERRIBLE customer service. The servers are never professional. For example, I was once eating lunch with a pal, and she wanted to place a to-go order while we finished up our lunch. The server ripped a piece of my paper place mat to take the order down. WTF. I can tolerate ordering to-go from this place but I do not recommend dining in.

Terrible customer service. They gave my husband the wrong to go order. When he went back to pick up the correct one, they blamed him for not paying attention. They said«it’s your fault you took the bag» but they called his name and HANDED him the bag so how was it his fault? AND the lady at the counter got loud with him. Don’t waste your time here, the food is nothing compared to Mandarin Chinese restaurant on Otay Lakes Rd. If you don’t mind driving a bit more go to Golden Chopsticks in National City! The customer service and the food are on point at both locations IMO.

Went today for the first time. I got the soft noodles with beef & the bbq pork. I really loved the food. It was nice and fresh. The noodles were delicious. The restaurant looked clean. The cashier could be a little nicer. She really needs to work on her customer service skills she was a bit rude. While she was finalizing my transaction i made sure to tell her the order was to go. She immediately responded with an «i know!» But other than that i was very happy with my food.

We come here 3 – 4 times a month. I am giving them four stars, they would be 5 if their customer service was a little better. It’s always a hit and miss as far as customer service however their food is always delicious! Their house noodles and salt and pepper chicken is the best in town! I always ask for the extra salt and pepper seasoning on the side to add to my noodles! When carrying out they’re very fast, and are quick to seat you! When dining out(lunch specials) the egg drop soup & appetizer(chips and sauce) isn’t included, you have to pay extra. Also, when ordering the chicken you receive more pieces dining in than carrying out. Bottom line, you get more bang for your buck dining in.

Unilocaled this spot when looking for Asian food in Chula Vista. The people were friendly and the place was clean, there were a few tables and the food looked appetizing! I ordered dumplings and garlic chicken(added broccoli) with rice. Dumplings: B+ not bad, not bad at all. Pretty good flavor in the filling and the dough was just shy of being too thick(personal preference is thinner dough). I would order again. Garlic Chicken: C. I struggle with chicken textures in food… The sauce was pretty good though; hot, garlicky and sweet.

When we arrived the place was packed, we were seated at the last available table. Right away we got our drinks(water) and a bowl of nice crispy fried wonton strips with an incredible orange mandarin sauce to die for. It’s just the right amount of sweet with a distinct orange mandarin flavor. Could have just kept eating these for my lunch. Ordered the barbeque pork lo mein and tried a bite or two of the fried chicken wings. The lo mein was nicely seasoned and the pork was tasty. My favorite for this trip is the chicken wings and I don’t usually eat wings, but these had a nice juicy texture to the meat and the skin was fried to a nice golden brown. Definitely will go back for the fried wonton’s and try a new entrée’.

This stop was one of the high lights of my trip to San Diego! Our friend took us here and I am so glad he did! It has been way to long since I have actually had decent Mandarin Chinese food that looks and tastes authentic! Everything we had was very delicous! We did family style, each orderd a dish and shared. I can’t tell you which was my favorite becuase they were all so good. The salt and pepper chicken wings! Bomb! Honey walnut shrimp! OMG! Amazing, and crunchy yumminess! Kung pau chicken! Woa! Proabably the best I have ever had! I just wish we had this yumminess where I live here in Oregon because there has not been anything good in town in years! I guess this means I get to go visit our friend just so we can go eat some yummy Chinese food!!!

Thursday night and I was craving for soup. I remember of a Vietnamese restaurant somewhere in Chula Vista. I trekked over yonder only to find the long line so change of plan, I was thinking to myself that there is always War Wonton soup at any Chinese restaurant right? So to the next door I go… I have eaten here before my Unilocal days and today was a great time to go once more but this time as a Unilocaler. What was good about Chinese food anyway right? Well the ambiance, you walk in and you know you are in a Chinese restaurant. The décor is typical of any other place. I know it is the year of the horse from the paper place mat. So on to the food, War Wonton Soup, Salted Pepper chicken, cream cheese wonton, and fried rice. The cream cheese wontons were an appetizer so I requested that I get everything at the same time. I like the fried wonton wrappers served with sweet and sour sauce to start of the meal. The piping hot War Wonton soup arrived first, followed by the Cream Cheese Wonton, and the rest of the order. I was surprised with the flavor of the soup; it was delicious(does this happen to you when you are hungry? Everything tastes so good), the cream cheese wonton were generous since I counted nine. The chicken wings were delicious and crunchy and it went well with the fried rice. This place deserves four stars and will definitely be back.
