As near as I can tell, the other two reviews reflect the exception, not the rule. Ede at Le Château has cut my hair for a number of years. She does a good job at a very moderate price. She’s also as accommodating as she can be in scheduling. The owner and people who work there are all friendly and the other customers seem satisfied as well.

I got the worst cut I’ve had in a long long time. My hair isn’t even shoulder length, she managed to give me about six layers plus this bangs that she called«chunky bangs» awful, she even cut a piece off the hair that suppose to frame your face in to the chunky bags… big mistake it looks stupid. I would of paid her to not mess it up if I would of known.

I was visiting my in-laws and came to Le Château for a mani-pedi because it was a block from their house. Big mistake! First, let’s get this straight. Le Château is not a «Day Spa», it is just an old-school beauty salon with an esthetician on staff. Next, «G.G.» was fifteen minutes late to my appointment. I sat there while the receptionist kept leaving her messages, unsure if she was actually even going to show up. G.G. decided my feet were too dry and used this razor thing to shave my calluses off. She missed and sliced up my big toe pretty badly. Then when I pointed out the DRIPPINGBLOOD, she didn’t do anything to stop it. She smeared lotion over it, which just mixed with the blood. Then she put it straight into the paraffin dip. Later, my sister-in-law told me that those razor blade things are illegal. It’s still sore two days later! I didn’t see any evidence that any of her tools had EVER even been in the same room as an autoclave. Her station was dusty and the pedicure area was cluttered. Last, to my surprise, she would not accept a credit card. I rarely have much cash with me and was lucky that I had exactly $ 50 to the penny. No extra for tip but I wouldn’t have given it anyway. I’d expect any decent salon to take plastic or at least warn me before they get started! I’m sad to say that this was not a great experience and not worth $ 50. Steer clear! Next time, I’ll ask my sisters-in-law for a recommendation, first. P.S. Stephanie was right. The razor blades *are* illegal.
