Jason’s Courtyard Cafe

Managed to squeeze in my hot espresso drink with 10 minutes til class and maybe 8 orders ahead of me! So glad they are able to keep up with their orders in a timely fashion, although my drink did get started before one other person who ordered before me. As a former barista, I know the struggle! The quality of their products is great, no question about it. I haven’t had an issue with my food/​drinks at all.
3 stars only because I’ve redeemed coupons twice and both times they still charged my card the full amount. Unfortunately my app does not update immediately so I wasn’t able to catch it earlier, and with worrying about my class being within a few minutes I didn’t realize the cashier did not state my total nor give me a receipt. Not fair to have them redeem my coupons for the money I already paid them.

The number one thing I’ll miss from SWC. Jason’s kept me up during classes and started my day right. Jason is a very nice person and the staff is friendly as well. Coffee is extremely good. Order the polar bear. (Warning: you’ll be addicted)

Omg best coffee ever! Literally ever. I think this is what i will miss the most of SWC i cant even choose a favorite but maybe the border mocha reminds me of Champurrado but with coffee so practically a dream come true lol anyway the only reason I don’t consider this place five stars is because of the girls who work here most of them have a really bad attitude and its sad because the owner is the sweetest person ever and you can tell how much he loves his business and these girls give the place a bad image
But coffee wise WAY BETTER THAN STARBUCKS

Jason’s is a MUST before class every single day. Everybody working there is always in a good mood and greet you with a smile even when you stand in line for your third coffee of the day. My favorite is the Vanilla Latte, whether hot or iced, it is always just right. I’ve also tried their Polar Bear (a favorite, given the times I hear it being ordered while I wait for my own). I’m gonna miss this place when I go to State!

Update: Ask and ye shall receive! They have XL drinks now! Actually, they’ve had them for a while but I haven’t had time to come on here and let y’all know. Way to listen to your customers Jason! Bravo my friend!

Love my polar bear whether it is cold or hot! I honestly crave the coffee when I’m not on campus… Best Coffee ever, totally beats Starbucks any day! Wish there was another location of campus! Oh well, Thanks Guys: D

Love love love this place!!! I’m a student here and I’m so happy to have a local coffee business on campus! Such a cute little cart and love the service!
Polar bear is my favorite but I’m always excited to try new things here as well! Iced and hot! I love that this coffee cart uses the square for cards! It emails you your receipt and your on your way!
I’m only here at school on mwf and leaving to go away to school next semster and I’m so sad to leave this coffee! I even come here on my days off from school for my coffee! Way better then Starbucks, they don’t burn their coffee and it’s a lot more affordable for what your getting and supporting!!!

I hate to be the one to give this café 4 stars, but it’s only because about almost every employee there has poor customer service. Every time I decide to get coffee here in hopes of receiving better service as well, I don’t. They disappoint me because they don’t really have manners. I felt like I was the only one saying please and thank you. I don’t know about you, but I certainly would like to hear that. Today when I ordered my drink they didn’t even call it out so I know that it was ready. Sigh, hopefully next time it’s a better experience.
Other than that, I really do love their coffee. Something about the drinks keep me coming back because of their quality of the taste is so rich. My favorite would have to be the divinity and pumpkin chai during the fall season.

I’m not opposed to Starbucks, in fact I’m a gold member, but when I’m on campus I’m 100% loyal to Jason’s. You can’t beat this cute little cart and the friendly staff. They are a tad pricey, but competitive with local coffee shop pricing and Jason’s gives back to the SWC students in a big way with scholarships in spring.
Jason’s is an integral part of the SWC community and I hope that all student choose this over the on campus Starbucks option. Choose local, choose Jason’s!

I currently attend Southwestern college and no coffee, latte, or tea place is better on campus than Jason’s! Not only is Jason friendly but so is his entire staff.
I usually order a soy chai latte or a dirty chai along with a scone.
One time they forgot about my order but it didn’t take them long AT ALL to realize they forgot my order. I really appreciate that they notice that if a customer has been standing longer than a few minutes they ask what their order was again. PLUS, the employee upgraded my drink for free for making me wait so long (which really wasn’t long at all).
The coffee is a great morning smell to pass by while walking to class. For a small business they are growing strong despite the mediocre Starbucks on campus!

Nice! A Coffee Place that is not a hassle, completely convenient, and has quick service. I got an Iced Coffee and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies to settle after a tough week @ SWC, and, they’re not too expensive! Done and Done! Oh, and these Cookies are really good too! :)

This cute little café is so convenient for me because I work at the Writing Center right next to it. When I’m feeling down, I get an iced chai tea latte to pick me up. Their snacks pair well with their drinks, also. Friendly service all the time!

Everyone should get the polar bear!!!
Iced or hot both of it taste pretty good. It’s a nice pit stop right before or after class. You can also grab some snacks like bagels and cookies, most of all the pound cake is really good.

Awesome place but hard to find. I didn’t know it was on Southwestern College campus. Food is great!

This place rocks! I always get a blended soy chai no coffee just blended chai with soy&&& cinnamon! So bomb!

Have to say… from the customer service to the coffee, everything is fantastic!
I absolutely love that they use organic coffees (that taste delicious) and will happily make you any drink combination you desire.
This is hands down, the best coffee I have ever had and Jason is an absolute pleasure.
Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

I am so glad that Jason’s is on campus. I stop by almost every day for a cup of coffee or tea. The people that work there are really cool, and most remember me and have a kind word that starts my day off on the right foot.
Oh, and the pumpkin muffin is pretty delish, too!

I have to give credit to my gf for introducing me to Jason’s Courtyard, his delicious warm chai tea drink and chai teas in general. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t have ever bought anything from Jason’s. You see, I don’t like coffee, so, therefore, I wouldn’t even approach his stand. Even though, he does sell water, sodas, bagels, pastries and other good stuff. That was wrong of me.
Ever since the day she let me have a sip of her chai tea, I instantly fell in love and was addicted. i do recall buying two chai teas daily for the following week.
His chai teas are amazingly delicious! First of all, unlike many other coffee shops, he uses chai powder as appose to the syrup kind or chai tea bags, which simply, suck. Big thumbs up for that Jason. I do appreciate that I have the option of choosing organic soy milk over regular milk. And, I love adding a lot of cinnamon powder on top. It really enhances the flavor of the drink and I like the clumps of cinnamon when drinking the last few ounces of it. I have such an appreciation for the process of the drink.
Of course, i’m writing strictly about the chai tea but he does sell many other drinks and coffees. And, he has many bagels, pastries, snacks, fruit, sandwiches, sodas, water and juices to chose from.
The prices are extremely reasonable and he accepts cash, visa and mastercard. Another big thumbs up for accepting cards. I rarely have cash on me. Not only are you purchasing great tasting quality reasonable priced items, you will receive amazing and courteous customer service from Jason and january. These two are always in a happy mood with big bright smiles. I’ve noticed their always polite to every single customer.
jason’s Courtyard is an absolute must for every Southwestern College student, faculty, neighbors and friends.
