I ordered the 5 tacos deal. The tacos are Tijuana style in the small tortillas. I got 3 cabeza(beef head) and 2 adobada(Mex BBQ) tacos. Also got a ceviche tostada. The meat on the tacos was bland but, good and the ceviche needed more lemon for sure. Also, the ceviche tostada had mayonnaise(a big no no in my book).

Walked in for the first time, there was nobody there at 3pm. Ordered carne asada fries and the cashier rang me up for $ 8.87. I showed her how the menu on the wall had them for $ 6.50, and she said that was the wrong price.“wth”? I was starving so I paid the $ 8.87… Got home and was shocked by what I saw. The portion was ridiculously small, and there was hardly any meat in there. Looked like they gave me an order of kids cheese fries. In that case, they forgot to give me the kids crayons too. The fries tasted raw and the meat was hard. They gave me a bad first impression, and I wont be coming back unless hell freezes over.

In my experience over the years this place has really good food. My only complaint is that the girls that work at the register are not very pleasant or welcoming, no eye contact is a little weird as well. but the cooks are nice and the food is good so that’s the only reason I keep coming back.

Went into delicias tonight, and was just not satisfied with my carne asada burrito. It’s not something you can mess up, first of all I was immediately turned off at the fact that the cook had a full on mullet going on, cool but can you throw a hair net on that thing… I mean what’s the point of a hat if you hair is still hanging down half your back. And another thing whoever the lady was helping him with that quesadilla pretty sure she didn’t wash her hands before she proceeded to grab handfuls of cheese and throw them on the tortilla. Most definitely will stick to armandos off Palm ave!

The service at this place is great. Theirs no problem with the parking either. But the food is another story, I ordered a carne asada burrito and they disappointed. They gave me a rolled up tortilla with guacamole spread on it. The thinnest burrito you can think of and make it thinner than that. For $ 6 I would expect more, won’t be going back.

Came in reading just the worst reviews. Nobody at the register. The cook took my order. Asked for hot carrots. Didn’t argue when I only got a Carne asada burrito. Burrito came out hot. Have to ask for salsa cups. Napkins come with the order. Table not the cleanest. Floor not the cleanest. Recycling a little confusing. 50c charge to CC(Credit Card)

First bite was awesome but getting to the middle of my burrito meat was burnt dry didn’t even taste like Carne asada. What got me more upset was the price I paid not worth it. I would probably go back if it was the only place open but doubt it I would have rather been better off buying a 711 pizza if u can I would suggest driving 2 more blocks up to Hst to robertos.

What got me more angry was the price I paid for the Carne asada burrito almost 9 dollars wtf! next time I will drive 2 extra minutes to robertos on Hst I would rather eat a 711 pizza man i don’t think I should have listened to the reviews they got cause every positive comment is total B. S never going back !

I had seen this place received 4 stars from a few people, so being in the neighborhood I decided to give it a try. Went with my husband and mom, I ordered a shrimp cocktail, the wait was not bad, 10 min. My shrimp cocktail came in a big salad bowl’ funny but ok. I got my crackers and ready to dig in looked at it, there were bubbles? I’ve never seen that in my shrimp cocktail… picked up a shrimp and it was slimy… of course I went to the cashier and said I didn’t want this dish, after explaining several times, the cook leaned over the counter to debate my inquiry. I had to explain several times I only wanted a refund and not anything else. Exhausting argument later, the cook literally wanted to argue with my husband! Horrible experience! I received my money back and left never to revisit.

I came here a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised by both the customer service and the quality of the food. This restaurant looks like your typical Mom n’ Pop taco shop, indoors and out. There’s huge glass windows that make up most of the walls with the daily specials painted on them. The décor inside consists of religious ornaments accompanied by Spanish prayers. Everything, including the salsa bar, was clean and neatly organized. The items on their menu were pretty typical as well, ranging from breakfast plates to combination plates, from tortas to tamales. I ordered the chicken enchiladas combination plate and asked a sunny-side-up egg on be placed on top.(It’s not weird! You do the same thing with chilaquiles so why not enchiladas? haha.) I could tell that this was not something that normally gets requested but they were kind enough to do it for me. Most places would be annoyed to go out of their way to do something like that and might even tell you that it cannot be done. However, the cashier and the cook were so friendly and all smiles and did not mind adding this element to my meal. The food came out a few minutes later and it was delicious! The rice was moist. The egg was cooked to perfection. But most importantly, the enchilada sauce was amazing. With it’s deep red color and depth of flavor, I could tell that this did not come from a can. It was not spicy either, which is a big plus for this wimpy Mexican who can’t handle the hot stuff, lol. The chicken enchiladas combined with the egg, the crema, the shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes made for one satisfying meal. The only complaint I have is regarding my horchata which was watered down and too sweet. Another thing to note is the location. This restaurant is in a somewhat sketchy area located on Broadway in Chula Vista. Because of this, you do get questionable characters coming in and eating here. I stayed for at least 45 minutes while I enjoyed my meal and read a book. I saw a lot of people come in, some looking homeless or otherwise destitute. I wasn’t uncomfortable but, at the same time, I made sure I was aware of my surroundings. I want to reiterate how great the customer service was. Like I said, this is a taco shop. There are no servers to wait on you. You walk up to the counter, order your food, eat, and leave. However, during my meal, the cashier came out to me and asked if I needed anything else. Even the cook himself came out and wanted to know if I was the one who asked for the egg and if it was cooked to my liking, haha. Everyone was so nice and that alone makes we want to return and keep supporting this local business.

My boyfriend and I wanted to grab a quick bite before we started off our day, we originally intended to go to robertos taco shop down the street. But it was packed and we wanted something quick and good. So my boyfriend suggested we stop here. Def a good call. It’s a small taco shop but cozy and inviting. The lady who took our order was super nice she offered us salsa and chips while we waited for our food and the salsa was AMAZING the perfect balance it was spicy enough and had a really good flavor. Then our food came, my boyfriend had the 2 hard shell beef tacos with rice and beans. He loved his plate, def delicious. I had the rolled tacos and I was not disappointed this place is a gem and a great find I will be coming back here again. Soooo glad we found this place.

Came here when I was back in San Diego on Business 2012… First stop we went to eat for lunch… even after we landed at Lindberg Field, and before we checked into our hotel rooms… This place was still the shiznit just as I remembered it back in the day… Upon walking in, I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito and the five rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole… The salsa bar is off the CHAIN! Habanero sauce, Cilantro, Mild, Hot, whatever floats your boat… its ALLGOOD! (If I had that out here in Florida… Thats all I would eat FOREVER! But since I have to wait till I get back to San Dawg to eat my favorite food, I guess its all I have to look forward to… After all… I grew up there and I have ate at a hole-in-the-wall-taco-shop in Nat’l City on Highland Ave on my way to school on occasion back in the 70s, so I consider myself an expert on Taco Cuisine!) LOL! Thats all I’ve ever wanted… For years, I’ve long waited for that moment! Once my order arrived… I took a pic and posted it to my Page! The jealous posts started rolling in… LOL! This place still remains my favorite of all time Taco Shops in San Diego… a close second… is the Robertos in Ocean Beach! The Belmont Park Roller Coaster is still standing I see… but I wouldnt ride that thing if you paid me… knowing what I know about its age and condition, LOL! Anyway…go to Delicias… order the Carne Asada Burrito and the rolled tacos with cheese and guac… you wont be disappointed!

My wife and I came in around 10pm last night. She ordered the rolled tacos, I had the carne Asada burrito. They were both good! It was one of the best Carne Asada burrito that I ever had! The habanero salsa was really spicy and flavorful. The only negative part was that they were out of carrots and the bathroom was out of service. I will be back soon.

Out of all the taco shops I’ve ever been to all over SD county, this one easily has the best carne asada fries. Their California burritos are good too. I haven’t had much else though, so I can’t judge when it comes to their tacos or their actual Mexican dishes. Other than that, this is my number one pick for carne asada fries and probably California burritos too.

The people here are incredibly rude and act they can’t understand any language. The cook didn’t wash his hands after using the restroom(I had to wait on him to be let in) and the cashier got my order wrong twice. I ended up just leaving. The food may be good but the service is AWFUL.
