I coordinated my brother’s wedding and it was extremely important to me that every vendor who took part in the wedding was carefully vetted, especially the bride’s hair/​makeup artist.
Before meeting Ivy, I knew she would be wonderful as she was recommended to me by the owner of Let’s Make a Memory, Adrian Ong. His stamp of approval meant that I could trust and rely on Ivy to meet my hair/​makeup needs.
When I first reached out to Ivy, her reply was immediate and she was forthcoming about the costs of her services. In comparison to other local makeup artists (whose clientele was primarily Asian, but not exclusively), Ivy’s pricing was reasonable and she didn’t charge for superfluous fees for things like on-​site make-​up, lashes, eyelid tape, etc. And it was a plus that her portfolio had other Asian clients– the Asian eyelid struggle is real!!!
We hired Ivy immediately after the hair/​makeup trial. Ivy listened to our requests– for makeup we asked for a soft, subtle, natural and romantic look. For hair, we had approximately 3 pinterest pictures of a similar up-​do that Ivy studied and recreated immediately thereafter. Ivy showed us that she could meet and exceed the standards of a professional hair/​makeup artist and we selected her in great confidence.
On the day of the wedding, Ivy definitely surpassed expectations. There were 5 of us who needed to get our hair/​makeup done– the bride, 2 sisters and 2 moms. In order to ensure that the bride was ready for the day’s festivities, Ivy came to the bride’s suite at 5 AM!!! Her assistant came shortly thereafter to help and she was just as professional and sweet.
The bride and the moms all had up-do’s and everything stayed perfectly in place from 5AM until 1AM at the end of the night. The 2 sisters had half-​up, half-​down hairstyles and the curls on the half-​down portion surprisingly remained in perfect shape for the day (the temperature in the afternoon reached approximately 95).
Our makeup also remained in tact, despite the unbearable heat. Ivy provided the bride with a touch-​up kit and the bridesmaids kept a close look out for the bride’s makeup the entire day. However the only touch-​up that was required was a little oil blotting from the heat. but nothing else needed to be enhanced later in the day.
Overall, Ivy’s service emulates the benchmark of quality for a hair/​makeup artist. She is incredibly sweet and understanding. She listened to our needs and when we made requests for changes, she didn’t even blink twice.
Not to mention, my mom had a wonderful experience with Ivy… Asian moms are typically very hard to please, especially mine! My mom had a hair piece (since she wanted an up-​do but her hair was too short for one) and Ivy was very creative in constructing an up-​do that made it appear that my mom’s real hair was much longer than it actually was.
If you are in need of a hair/​makeup artist, select Ivy! She’s worth it and you will be beyond satisfied with her as your beauty vendor.

Choosing Ivy for my hair and makeup for a wedding I was going to be in was the best thing! She communicated fast via email and answered all my questions/​concerns right away. She came to my place (an awesome plus!!!) and was on-​time to do my hair and makeup. Ivy is professional, so friendly, and kind to work with you to get the look you want. Ivy was great! I needed hair and makeup done for my maternity pictures. Her makeup style brings out natural highlights yet softens the contour of the face. Ivy did my hair with loose waves.

I had Ivy to do my hair and make up for my engagement photo on 2÷16÷15 at Mission Inn. We started at 7:30 at my place. She was welling to travel from Torrence to chino (my place) for me. It was really impressive! First 10 min, we went over the dress that I was going to wear and hair style I want. Within 2 hours, she had my hair and make up done :) and I like It a lot! I also got lots positive feedback from friends as well!
I like her because She is welling to help you and give you the look that you want it and fits you!
I also booked her for my wedding on 11÷8÷2015!!!
