I love this guy! He is always in high spirits, inspiring, and positive. Some trainers can make you feel uncomfortable and unsure. That is not the case with Kennedy. Knowledgeable and keeps workouts entertaining! Definitely would recommend to friends and family. So glad I discovered him.

So to provide a little background. I’m ex-military, have completed several half marathons, have workout on my own and used P90X. Never had a gym membership and didn’t like working out with people. I was in pretty good shape or so I thought. It was a big thing for me to decide that I wanted to get to the next level and choose a person that can get me there. So with all that«Why choose Ken for personal fitness you ask?» Well for one thing, a DVD cant encourage me or correct my form. DVDs or working out by yourself can only get you so far and there is no one there to keep you honest. No one to say«Come on you can do 5 or 10 more reps!». Because honestly most people will stop when they are hurting not knowing the potential they have to push beyond their limits. Ken is that person, that keeps me honest and pushes me beyond my limits. I have been going to Ken for a 1 ½ months and I am lifting, running, jumping and working out better than I ever have. You would think that I would know all the exercises that he has thrown at me at this point but honestly… I’m doing new stuff every session. I have no doubt that I will get to the next level with Ken. Because he cares about what he does and cares about his clients success. If you are ready to get to the next level, then make the decision and let Ken get you there.

Two words that Ken does not want to hear from his clients ever…‘I CAN’T’…the same two words I used to say a lot before I started going to this gym. I’m 48, and my only goal was not to get ‘fat’. But Ken takes it to the next level so that you incorporate diet and regular exercise in your lifestyle. He is so accommodating of my unpredictable schedule and would find a way to get you to the gym no matter what. And there’s the self accountability factor that he reinforces strongly that you could not help but comply. The gym has that high energy vibe, where you see everyone pushing and working hard while having fun with the camaraderie around and that upbeat music. Last but not least, the gym is clean, something that you could not say about those big chain gyms. 5 stars indeed :)

Uzima Fitness Training has excellent customer service. The thing i was impress with the most was how Ken helped from being a newbie to where i feel comfortable going into any gym and using my knowledge to workout. Before i just used cardio machine now i break it down. Oh and Ken is huge one you nutrition and removing the words«I can’t» out of your vocabulary. Def give him a try especially if you are a newbie like i was

I’m a big guy 6’3″, heavy and it’s hard for me to work out sometimes because my joints hurt. What I noticed about Ken was first he assessed me, he didn’t just give me a cookie-cutter workout. He showed me how to do workouts in a way that strengthened my joints and tendons and then gradually build up my workouts to be more effective. Ken is very very motivating and I mean very very motivating. I love the group sessions being able to work out with other people and to hear how Ken relates with his other clients told me he has a passion and it works on the very first day. If you’re in or anywhere around Chino, heck if you could just drive there I would highly recommend Ken as a personal trainer. Health and weight loss is too important to expensive to just handover to anyone.

Ken is an amazing trainer and one of the best I’ve come across! I started with Ken about a month ago and I absolutely love it. He does not only help you with training but is also very helpful when you ask him about nutrition! My biggest challenge was what to eat and what not to eat, especially since I’m vegetarian. Ken definitely helped me clean up my eating habits! He is someone who cares about his clients and is very down to earth. Ken knows what he’s doing and knows how to help with your needs. I definitely recommend Ken! :)

I decided to join fitness not too long ago(3yrs) for those who understand natural fitness its a journey of no shortcuts. I’ve always been a self motivated person and patient when it came to my results. I managed to gain 40lbs in body weight in those 3yrs and I look pretty lean just a few setbacks here and there. And then I met Ken(AfriKen) but I never got to train with him due to my ego. First of all Ken is a easy going very approachable person. The beard might be intimidating but after a few words you’ll like his personality. So the day I trained with Ken he focuses on my the form and range of motion after 30min into training I felt like throwing up for a second I thought I was going to die. My stomach was turning and believe when I say that my eyes turned bloodshot. I’ve been training for last 3yrs but still his workouts were challenging. Every time I wanted to quite he challenged me with questions. I’ve never been pushed to the limit like that. Ken won’t be just a personal trainer but a friend to guide you through your journey to success.

Ken is a great motivator and is very passionate about his job and giving his clients the results they want. I have been coming here for 4 months now and the workouts are as challenging now as they were when I first started. When I first stated, my form and stamina were pretty terrible. I was barely able to do squats without weight because my hip muscles were tight and I had poor flexibility. Now, I am able to do squats and other workouts with increased reps and weights I feel stronger since day 1. Ken is a great trainer and friend!
