Unilocal 100 Challenge 2016, #15 of 100. This place is the epitome of what a dive bar is expected to be. Small, dark, and cash only. I pass this place all the time on way to work and way home(when I would really like to stop) as it’s on my normal route. It was a kid free night and we finished with a happy hour and lite dinner. I wasn’t about to call it a night. Being the parents of small children I live for the few kid free nights. My wife was acting as my chauffeur for the evening so I requested The Corner. Parking lot, off of Schaeffer, holds about 15 cars and there is an additional lot on the opposite side where the liquor store is on Central Ave. I didn’t imagine it being that small inside but it was bigger than expected. Music was playing, people were conversing, and drinks were being served. I thought it was a chill spot for a Friday night. We posted up on a small ledge with a couple of seats available and then a table opened up. The server told us as soon as we ordered that it was cash only. And of course I usually carry cash but I was caught off guard with a $ 20 on me. I then proceeded to play Frogger and hit up the ampm for the Chase ATM across the street. The liquor store has an ATM but I wasn’t about to pay $ 5 for my cash. It only took me 5 minutes. It’s a full bar but no draught beer. I went with a few Stella’s at $ 3.50 each and a couple of Capt and diets at $ 5.50 each. It was an inexpensive night to say the least. Peanuts are served as and they will keep coming if you ask for them. Just toss shells on floor. There were a few TVs but only one by bar was on. Service was excellent. The server/bartender was attentive. I did notice they had food available but I didn’t order. And they have an A grade. The men’s restroom is tiny so watch your back. Overall, the place is cool. You could have a small gathering of four friends or 6 hobbits and be comfortable. Place holds a good amount of people. I would like to hit this place up again. Maybe I could convince some of my coworkers to join me or I can go Han Solo sans Chewy. Happy drinking!

Low prices, strong drinks, friendly atmosphere. A tiny cozy neighborhood bar. Looked a little scary from the outside so it took awhile to try it but once I did it became one of my favorites. Lots of cool events with great food.

I have been going there for years and will keep going. We go to celebrate my birthday in October and dress up in our Halloween costumes and have a blast. I’ve been celebrating my birthday there for about 7 years and I wouldn’t switch to any other other bar !

I didn’t enjoy the last couple of times o went there. I don’t like seeing really drunk people continually getting served more drinks. I have seen too many people walk out to their cars totally shit faced and it’s not cool It seemed like the Star Wars Cantina like the music stopped and everyone looked my way all crazy. If you are with your buddies and wanna get drunk that’s the spot. Definitely not a date place just go down the street to Roscoe s Or Yard House. Definitely not a place to meet girls either so just drinking that’s it if that’s your thing to just get drunk with no intentions of meeting girls then that’s the spot to do it Stay Thirsty My Friends

The hidden dive bar gem of Chino! The place is small but the drinks are strong(and cheap!) They have food but don’t ask for it. The bartenders are the cooks and they get upset when you ask. If you’re hungry they don’t mind if you order pizza to be delivered or bring food inside with you.

This place is the best bar in town. The bartenders are awesome and the prices are just right for the amount poured.

Still the Best local bar around. The Bloody Maria’s are the best. Great place to hang out for a few drink with a friend or just by yourself. Jennifer, Francis and Dorian are awesome bartenders. I notice that Dorian loves to cook the most out of the 3, so when you are here make sure you order something to eat on her shift!

The Corner defines«Watering Hole». It’s been a landmark in Chino since the dairies hunkered down and even when they’re long gone it’ll continue to stand the test of time. Local establishment occupied by many of the locals who gather socially and contribute to the benefit of our community. Interior décor is nostalgic and vintage looking, prices are reasonable, staff is friendly and attentive. Parking is convenient and music is hip. Just keep in mind, it’s a cash only bar and they serve a few appetizer foods.

Made a quick trip for a brew with some friends, and I have this place lives up to its name… The corner Is no bigger than the corner of your bedroom. I’m talking 10×10! No brews on tap and apparently they serve breakfast. If your looking for a place to kill time and brain cells and appearances don’t matter, than this is your spot. At least you can get 2 beers for $ 8!

Talk about a dive bar. Cool little spot. And when I say little I mean it. It’s the smallest bar I’ve ever been to. But in a good way. It’s a cozy spot. Went in here for a few drinks with the wife. Bartender was very nice and attentive! Only downside about this place is that there are no beers on tap. Everything is in bottles. Other than that, it’s great! Also, cash only!

This is the smallest bar I’ve ever been to. Went there on a Saturday afternoon with a few coworkers. Mostly male customers in there 60’s, no music(at least when I went) not a very large selection of beers. Place wasnt horrible, it just wasn’t for me.

Great drink specials. The people are friendly and not creepy like some spots. Had a couple of drinks after dinner, saw some familiar faces and everyone gets along! Another gem in good ol’ Chino! FYI: Cash only!

This bar and the owner and every bartender get 5 stars. Frances is the exception she gets 2 ½. She needs to take notice on how other bartenders are tentative and personable. Overall a great neighborhood bar.

What a great dive! As you walk in you feel like you’ve stepped into the past, and immediately feel comfortable! I was a little worried that it was going to be sketchy from the outside appearance, however once inside I completely enjoyed the atmosphere. It is quite small, but that adds to it’s ambiance! There are no pool tables, but there is a dart board. They play country and rock music and while the music was a little too loud, overall the music matched the feel of the bar. I would definitely come back here for an evening drink! Bring cash, it is a cash only bar.

It is a nice cozy place. I will be moving to Chino soon and found this place randomly. But, do I need to request peanuts? I was never offered :( This is a new entry(June 27, 2014). I dunno why I put 1 star in my first post but now I updated it to 4 stars. I am loving the place. Beautiful and sweet bartenders(Jennifer & Frances). I was surprised at Jen, she remembered me on the 1st time I was there. And Frances already know my kind of drink after 2 visits! Awesome!
