Their eggs are the best! The yolk is more yellow, creamy, rich and delicious than eggs from grocery stores. The white is thick. I always buy 20 jumbo eggs for $ 6.99. I bought jumbo brown eggs on the other day to compare and found the yolk is much smaller but orange in color. I will stick to my favorite white jumbos. I haven’t tried Billy’s across because business hours are much friendlier here :)

This place is right across from Billy’s and I’m glad I stopped by here by accident, thinking it was Billy’s. I’m going to be honest, I had an egg party with my friends and purchased eggs from various local farms and grocery stores. Either I suck at making eggs or perhaps my taste buds are dull because I can’t taste any difference between Omega 3 eggs, brown eggs, or eggs from local markets and whatnot. Because of that, I’m basing my future egg purchases off of the price. This place is the most cost efficient eggs I’ve seen at this current date. Gone are the days when you can buy a dozen eggs for $ 0.99. The ladies working the register is super nice and helpful with my purchase.

Good: — Very fresh free range brown eggs. Large sized eggs are $ 3.50 for 20 pieces! — I bought eggs from Maust’s and Billy’s the same day and compared the two. Maust’s free range brown eggs are definitely tastier and the yolk is richer and creamier. Maust’s egg yolk is more deep amber color while Billy’s was pale yellow, slightly better than eggs bought at supermarkets. — Fresh never frozen whole chicken meat are also available. Made Filipino Chicken Tinola with just chicken, water, veggies and aromatic herbs and it was amazing. Not so Good: — The parking area and entrance to the store is not welcoming. In fact, it looks kind of ghetto. Note: I love tamago kake gohan(seasoned raw egg over steamed white rice). It’s a staple dish in Japan that many consider an ultimate comfort food. In US, due to food safety issues, it’s almost impossible to find eggs that can be safely consumed raw. Prior to Maust’s, I purchased Kato brand jidori eggs but it’s not always available so I’m happy to find reliable source of fresh eggs that I can eat raw.
