So many places in Chico act like you need them and they don’t care about you, and generally have the attitude of «if you don’t like it get out». Star puts all the importance on the customer. You will be treated like a friend there, and remembered when you come back.

This place has the nicest people working there. They always go above and beyond to make me happy and were very helpful getting my kegerator up and going for me. They also have the lowest prices period!

This is without a doubt the best place in town to get the best craft beer, kegs, and some of the best booze. Pabbi is the man! He will get whatever you want and is probably the most genuine and nicest dude around. Prices are better than anyone! But this place has definitely pointed it’s business toward the beer geeks, not just a spot for college kids. If you don’t shop at Star Liquor you’re goofin’.

Went in and needed some wine in a pinch and Pavi was super friendly and had what I needed. I was having casual conversation about a service issue where I needed a fix and he gave me number for tech that was awesome… New building is amazing… great guys…

I have only been paying cash when I go now and have had no more issues. They are friendly when I come in and like to chat with me and my boyfriend. Maybe there was some mistake those times with the card?

They just reopened a few stores down from their old location. Selection is crazy good, the store is clean and while it could use some work with the layout you can find almost anything you want and the people running the show are extremely helpful.
Plus they’ll brag about how their prices are the lowest in town and so far it would appear they’re right. I can’t find some bottle sizes elsewhere and buying in bulk does save money. Their cider selection is a bit paltry but that doesn’t surprise me as most places don’t have an amazing selection.
EDIT: Was told today that they’re getting more beer, wine, and cider in stock as time goes on. They even pulled some ACE cider out of the back upon my request! Hopefully this means I can walk to get new ciders as time goes on.
