I don’t know what happened to this pizza parlor. It used to be five star a few years ago. Now its just living off its past reputation. Of the many choices you have in Chico, this one is towards the bottom. Lets start with a dine-in experience. As the only sit down location on the east side of town, you would think the restaurant would be more inviting. They have seven televisions. Seven, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. However they are all 13″ CRTTV’s mounted on the ceiling. Entering the building you’d think you walked into the year 1995. Getting past the«entertainment», you probably want a beer. Nope! For whatever reason they lost their beer and wine license, so you can’t even drink. The sophisticated can smuggle in a bottle of Jack from the liquor store next door and have a tasty Jack and Coke. Consider me sophisticated. There is no music or anything else wanting you to remain in the place for any length of time. This is painfully obvious by looking at the sad and miserable workers. The pizza’s must be made with tears and bitterness considering the boredom you’d face spending 8 hours in here a day. Now for the pizza. Considering it took 45 minutes for a dine in, I was expecting heaven in my mouth. Not the case. I could justify spending 12 – 15 dollars on it. The crust was a little soggy, but the toppings were ample and full of flavor. The problem is the pizza cost 23 dollars, so it wasn’t worth it. Here’s how you can fix it all and earn 5 stars. Get a real television, maybe a projector, or some 60″ HDTV’s. Play some football, basketball, whatever. Have a decent sound system to complement it too. Add a jukebox and some arcade machines for the kids. Hell, your walls are decked out in paintings of musicians and dancing, why not have some live music on Friday or Saturday night? I mean, your right outside California Park. Yuppies like some jazz or acoustic guitar when they are spending time with the family, it feeds their ego and sense of entitlement. Now add beer and wine, and you have a nice little pizza joint that would actually feel inviting. The employees might actually like working here, in which case the pizza would get a little love too.

Tonight I called in an order for pick up at 7:45, was told it would be about 20 minutes… arrivedabout 25 minutes later and they had not even started to make the pizza much less put it in the oven. I would have understood if they were slammed and there simply wasn’t room in the oven for my pizza, but there were no customers in the building and three employees with ZERO pizzas in the oven. So thirty minutes after my original pick up time I go to grab my pizza and pay and they forgot to give me the free garlic bread that is a special on Thursday night… after they grab those they offer a glimmer of «customer service» by asking me if I would like some ranch or marinara for my garlic bread, I ask for ranch and then they try to charge me… I ended up paying $ 30 for 1 pizza, and the pizza really was not that great, the cheese slides off it before you get a chance to pick it up. My recommendation is to get a TON of napkins… half for your hands and half to sponge up the pools of grease on the pizza. so to recap… –pizza not started at the time they promised it would be done –I had to remind them of their advertised specials –they tried to charge me for ranch dressing when every other pizza place in Chico will give it to you… with a smile. –paid thirty dollars for greasy soggy slop –BOO… seriously just boo to you Leftcoast

When I called in the order, the girl sounded pretty unhappy and was short. No problem, all I wanted was my food anyways. When I picked it up, everyone working seemed to be be pretty unhappy to be there. The ranch isn’t great(ranch lovers you know what I’m talking about). The buffalo wings had great sauce, but the chicken wings were very tiny. The celery that came with the wings was brown, and still had the ends on them. I paid almost $ 30.00 for a large 4 topping pizza and buffalo wings. The portions were OK, but the quality was not that great. To sum up my visit: Very unhappy employees Expensive Decent quality Probably won’t be back.

I went here for the first time a few months ago with a couple of my friends for lunch. This place was barely tolerable at best. The pizza here is just pathetic; Take one bite and all the cheese just slides off like some kind of sick joke. Average taste, but you can tell it’s very poorly put together. And it’s so greasy it’s not even funny. Gotta be the messiest pizza I’ve ever eaten. I probably ended up wiping my hands with 6 or 7 napkins just to get through one slice. A very frustrating experience, and the only reason I didn’t explode with anger was because I had friends with me to take my attention away from how horrible the meal was. Not to mention the fact that their prices are not the best in town. Last I checked, a slice of pizza and a drink costs $ 4.00 here, but at a couple of other places in town(Fatte’s and Celestino’s), the same combo will run you $ 2.50 or $ 2.75, and their pizza is much better too. Normally I’d give this place one star but for it’s pretty decent atmosphere and size compared to Fatte’s and Celestino’s. At least it’s got some respectable seating space, unlike the others.

I took my Celiac’s disease(gluten-free) husband here for his birthday and it was awesome. They take VERY special care of their gluten-free guests. Gluten free dough is prepared in the mornings before any other dough, is stored in a separate container, and is cooked on a designated pan to avoid as much cross contamination as possible. My husband is very sensitive to gluten, and our pizza did not give him a reaction at all! The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because you have to tell them to cook the pizza extra long for the gluten free crust because otherwise they serve it to you a little chewy. The live music was just okay. The dining area is a little cramped. But I ignore those things because it is so nice to have a genuine gluten-free pizza in town.

gotta say I like it a lot. Its my favorite place to grab pizza in Chico. Cute little dining room with a bourbon Street theme going on with the murals. They have live music sometimes too. Pizza shops are about a dime a dozen in Chico and this one is at the top of the class for me. Its located on the south/east side of town(which is easier to get to than a lot of downtown locations), isn’t ever so busy that I’ve had to wait a long time for my pizza, and they have beer on tap. Only thing its missing is pinball.

I love left coast! Their pizza is fantastic, sauce is flavorful and crust is just right. The service is pleasant and atmosphere is comfy. They have awesome wings and delicous breadsticks too. Great specials everyday and as far as $ 4 for a slice and a beer… that is AWESOME!!! I am extremely critical and I dont agree with the bad reviews on here about Left Coast in the slightest bit. They have really good and fresh toppings too.
