Was reviewing Crazy Taco and decided to give a shout out to Duke’s Liquor. So if you go there for the tacos(or heck, if you go there for liquor)…this place is very colorful. It’ll have maybe a homeless person in front, giving compliments or being funny. Sometimes you’ll see a man in a business suit getting off work & picking up a burrito or maybe a student picking up a six pack.(We’ve been going to crazy taco for years, I don’t just sit in the parking lot and watch people). Anyway, I’m not sure if Dukes owns the taco place or rents it out, but the owner of Dukes is exceptionally nice. He remembers each person that comes in and seems to genuinely care about people. Pretty awesome. Customer service really counts. Liquor stores tend to have expensive waters, but we *always* get water when we buy a taco/burrito. It’s our tradition. Check it out!

While living in Chico for almost a decade, this was my favorite liquor store/taco shop to stop in at. George, always greeted me with a smile and asked about how my day was going. On my birthday each year he would pick up my tab for me. As far as prices go, you can’t beat this place. Taco wise… best tacos ever. I suggest the pork n cheese tacos. Now for those who are used to «fine dining» the window service might seem dirty, but don’t be afraid to try it… I survived on this great food. Where else are you going to find so many different tacos for a dollar. The burritos are great also, but on a hot summer day a plate of tacos and twelve pack for less than 12 dollars can’t be beat.
