Bubbles Laundry

I use to feel comfortable here, however the last 2 years I have seen this safe place become extremely scary at all times of the day. I have suggested the surrounding stores pool money and get security, that has not happened. I have witnessed theft in and out of the store, my teen daughter has been sexually and aggressively harassed by homeless men, a homeless guy stripped in front of a crowded store. The guy who maintains the place sometimes, doesn’t help with the incidents and allows smoking when the ordinance says 20 feet away. The other maintenance person will not let people use the big machines if she sees homeless coming with sleeping bags. What happened to first come first serve? It is not safe, I do not recommend this place

I checked out Unilocal to see which local laundromat I should go to. This one was most conveniently located and seemed legit from the reviews. This was my first time to a laundromat in town and I needed a larger machine to wash a sleeping bag. Overall, I had a great experience and would go there again if ever necessary. I did need to pay more for a larger washer, but the variety of machines available was nice. There were some plastic chairs to sit in, metal wire baskets to use, and people minded their own. My favorite part was when the staffing employee came out and began cleaning the machines/​tables/​putting away chairs. It was very appealing.

This place is definitely the best place to do laundry in Chico. If your own machine breaks down or if you need to wash your comforter covers (or, of course if you need to use a laundry faculty on a regular basis) Bubbles is a clean, well-​lighted place. The change machines (there are 2) have never been broken as long as I’ve been there.
There is a sink with a never-​ending supply of soap & towels. I’m a mom, so I know that these things don’t magically appear and that somebody is constantly maintaining this place. ;) The floor is swept and washed regularly and the garbage cans are emptied.
On occasion there will be a machine that is out of order, and you’ll see a sign. There’s a packet of «out-​of-​order» signs attached to envelopes in case a customer has an issue with a machine. The customer can place the out of order sign on the machine, write their information on the envelope and put it under the back door.
I’ve been washing my duvet covers and pillows at Bubbles years and for the first time, I encountered a broken machine. Approx. 2 weeks later, I received $ 2 (a little more than I lost) and a nice letter of apology in the mail.
I would definitely frequent Bubbles if I had to do my laundry at a laundromat on a regular basis, and I will continue to go there as a «infrequent» customer.

For almost three years I was washer-​less and had to use laundromats. After using multiple laundromats, we finally found Bubbles and stayed. Often, the owner would come in and clean and have a friendly conversation with the customers. So the place was maintained and the machines rarely had problems. Good place.

It’s clean, inexpensive and everything else The Laundry Room is not.

This is the cleanest laundromat I’ve ever been to in Chico! I went in on a Saturday, thinking it would be busy, but there were plenty of machines available. :)
They have lots of top loader washing machines, which is helpful. A lot of other mats I’ve been to only have those front loaders, or very few of the top loaders. This one does have front loaders too, and cheaper than I thought they would be to use! They only charge $ 2.50 for the regular front loaders here, at other places they are $ 3.50 for that regular size.
The dryers work great, typical .25 cent per 8 mins. You can figure $ 3-​$ 4 per load of laundry to both wash and dry. :)
This laundromat is also at a great location close to restaurants, Safeway/​Rite Aid, and even the park if you wanted to take a recreational walk while waiting for your clothes to get done! I will definitely be coming back here!
