Apparently Basik Recycling closed. It looks like the City of Chico pulled their use permit in August 2014. I’m pretty bummed about this as Basik was by far the best recycling center in Chico.

This place no longer exists. Drove there without calling, expected I just drove to the wrong place, called the number on here and it had been disconnected.

First time here!
Have to separate all the glass by color.
Need to place all you recycle into their buckets and bins.
Wine bottle they will take in, but you get NO $ for them as they aren’t part of the recycle program.
If you have copper, they will take, but will need your drivers license and address information upfront. Money is held for three days to insure all is cleared legally before you can pick up your cash!
Guy that assisted us and the other staff up front seem pleasant!

This recycling center is great! The staff is so friendly, and the prices are competitive. They also have great business hours. I’ll definitely be utilizing this place again!

I had heard about Basik Recycling through a friend, its a new recycling center and supposedly they pay you more than any other recycling place in town so I had to check it out. I was really surprised how clean it was, which for a recycling place says a lot, sure enough I walked away with about $ 10 more than usual. They recycle everything there, the usual cans, glass and plastic but also cardboard, e-​waste and metals. I will definitely be returnig to Basik Recycling. Oh ya and they have this cool raffle drawing for Recycler of the Month.
