This was Chinese food. It tasted like your everyday Chinese food. If you are a vegan you can get something, if you’re not you can also get something. I quite enjoyed the peach smoothie with tapioca. Yum.

I was really hoping we would love, or at least like this place, as it’s right around the corner, has a pretty extensive menu and I love having a local Chinese joint to go to regularly. However, given the food on our first order we won’t be back. We ordered the crab rangoon and shrimp fried rice, two pretty straightforward dishes which are tough to ruin… somehow they managed. The crab rangoon was so bland, it was like there was NO seasoning or salt in it whatsoever and the«cream cheese» had no flavor like that at all, and the texture was really off. Kind of gelatinous rather than creamy, I mean it was a disaster. The fried rice was quite blah and they use those tiny little cheap frozen rock shrimp, which isn’t the end of the world and to be expected on a menu this cheap, I know, but we had to really doctor up the rice to want to bother… bland, bland, bland.

Fast delivery, very tasty crisp General Tso chicken. Pancakes were very warm. Will be eating from here again in future. This is now my go to Chinese Food.

Great little place! I was especially impressed with the BBQ Seitan appetizer. Only complaint is that the scallion pancakes were a little doughy.

I was helping a friend move to a new apt and late in the evening we decided to order take out from Yummy Yummy. Not too bad, it was pretty average Chinese take out. We ordered crab rangoon, egg rolls and sesame chicken. Each dish was nice and it hit the spot. The order was delivered quickly and he was very friendly. If you feel like having chinese take out in Boystown, this should be your place.

I moved to Chicago 4 years ago and I have been utterly disappointed by every Chinese place I have encountered until now. Yummy yummy is a tiny spot that has the best Chinese food I’ve had I Chicago hands down. I can vouch for the General Tso’s, Sweet & Sour chicken, and vegetable Lo mein. Can’t wait to try more dishes… The portions are incredibly generous as well. I have now had delivery and picked up. Delivery was hot and quick.

Best Chinese food in the area, by far. I’ve been searching for a decent moo shu pork and this is pretty good, not perfect, but outshines anything in the area. They have a HUGE variety of Asian food. Lunch specials are giant. It comes with soup and an egg roll. I had the basil shrimp. I can appreciate when a restaurant gives the appropriate ratio of protein to vegetables in a lunch portion. In other words, the shrimp were plentiful. The vegetables were cooked to perfection(I hope so since they are known for their veggie menu). Szechwan chicken dumpling were awesome. Garlic, spicy, sesame, ginger deliciousness sauce. I feel like the dumplings were just plain old steamed pot stickers, but regardless, they were delicious. The boba is on another level. Best one in the neighborhood. Green jelly or tapioca if you want and the flavor options are limitless.

Unfortunately, I just did not like what I got, which was the pad Thai noodles. Maybe other menu items are better. I probably won’t try it again to find out. There are plenty of places in the area I would try for the first time before giving this place another go.

Ordered their vegan hot and sour soup, spring rolls and mapo tofu with brown rice. For some reason, I was really hungry today and devoured the most of the food. The soup was perfect. I LOVE their tofu, it tastes so fresh. I still have some mapo tofu that I’m looking forward to having for dinner.

If you’re looking for some amazing Singapore Noodles, order them at Yummy Yummy! I’ve found that finding a good rendition of these noodles is difficult. Sometimes the noodles are too wet — sometimes the noodles are lacking curry. At Yummy Yummy, they are fabulous! Just the right amount of curry, mixed with shrimp, pork and green peppers. So delightful. The menu is pretty extensive and has a little bit of everything — from spicy Korean beef, to scallion pancakes, salt and pepper shrimp, mooshoo pork! It has the traditional«American» staples, but also throws in different items that you might not see so often. It’s also the one place in the ‘hood that has bubble tea readily available now. Plus! The seating area is small, so I usually get orders to go. But I have come by during lunch time and seen the place packed! I think they offer a great priced lunch special, so that’s always welcomed when you don’t want to drop too much midday.

FOODPOISONING! We spent 9 hours in the ER thanks to the rice they fed us. The hospital deducted it came from the rice my wife had eaten. $ 2100 later, I kindly informed Yummy Yummy of what had happened, and the ONLY offer they made to rectify it was to give us a meal voucher good for the cost of the rice we’d eaten. The customer service here is horrendous — the bathroom is IN the kitchen, and it’s simply disgusting here. Don’t eat here — ever. Feel free to contact me for more details on my experience. Fuck this company.

Very delicious, with excellent options for herbivores, Yummy Yummy features more authentic Chinese food than most of what you’ll find in the USA. Nothing on the menu has ever disappointed, and the Taro smoothie is surprisingly good! We try to eat here every time we’re in Chicago(which is not often enough)! Vegan wonton soup, several variations of «fake meat» which can be used in place of real meat in most dishes, and so many other great options that you never see in typical Chinese places. Small dining area but you don’t usually have to wait for a table. Good service, too… our favorite Chinese place in the city!

Ate in here one Wednesday night. The inside area is very small, probably only has seating for about 16 people. The service was good, as was the food. Good vegetarian options, although we had meat selections. Will be back.

I live within a five minute walk from this Chinese place and I have to say that it’s a cheap, tasty, and a convenient option! I am someone who eats out a lot so this was exactly what I was looking for. The food wasn’t overly salted or greasy as well. I’d highly recommend the fruit smoothie drinks here. They use real frozen fruit and the boba was nice and soft.

I have had several meals here and have enjoyed both of them. The menu is huge and most of what I’ve tried has been tasty! The prices are super cheap and it’s BYOB so I always leave full and surprised at how little I’ve spent. Don’t come here for the ambience or for a romantic date, just come to eat some delicious and cheap chinese food. Most of their business seems to be carry out, as there is always a stream of people coming in when I eat here. They only have a few tables. Tip– Try the Kung Pao Tofu, it is awesome! They have a pretty extensive vegetarian menu if that’s your thing. Also particularly enjoyed the beef chow fun, shrimp with broccoli and sesame noodles.

Hands down the best Chinese food in Lakeview. The egg rolls and wonton soup are my go-to. Service is always quick and friendly for pickup or delivery. I highly recommend this place if you have a hangover(wonton soup) or even if you don’t and just need a Chinese food fix. Love this little place.

Yummy Yummy quickly became my favorite carry-out and delivery place, not only because their name is fantastic, but the food is on point. Some of my favorite dishes: Basil rice with pork, pad thai, all the fried rice dishes, orange chicken, general tso, sweet and sour chicken, pot stickers, and crab rangoon. I do want to give a special shout out to their marvelous egg rolls! SOGOOD!

My bestie and I ate here a few days ago and we got a lot of food. The crab ragoon was the best I’ve had in a long time. Lots of real crab with phili. cheese and not greasy. The beef was tender and we got fortune cookies– score! All the food WAS flavorfull except the wonton soup, which was a bit of a disappointment. Aside from that this is my new favorite chinese place in the area. Quick tip: the place is very small with limited seating. On a busy day, you will easily sit next to strangers close enough to slap them with your chop sticks.
