BYOB. Done. It should be a Thai place they have more of a selection there. And open during holidays

This is a really great place. So cozy and quaint and BYOB. The food is delicious and I am upset that I didn’t take any pictures of my sushi. My hubs ordered the beef pepper steak and loved it. My son had the bbq pork fried rice which he enjoyed. I also ordered baby egg rolls and steamed pork pot stickers. Both were delicious. The baby egg rolls were crispy and tender inside with a great sweet and sour sauce. The dumplings came with a soy sauce reduction of some sort that was tasty. Finally I was in the mood for sushi so I ordered the Viking roll: A roll with Deep fried white tuna, cream cheese, tamago, avocado, jalapenos, cilantro, and tempura crumbs. DELICIOUS. So much so, I have inserted a picture of what my clean plate looked like after I devoured it. The services was great, kind and friendly which is a topper to the nice environment. I can see myself coming more after riding the brown line and meeting friends for some sushi, thai dishes, and a few bottles of BYOB. YUM.

It still surprises me that this place is empty whenever I go! Not only is this some of the most affordable sushi in the neighborhood, it is delicious! I love that the menu includes non-sushi options, too. BYOB makes it a winner. Only issue — what’s with the no music thing? Let’s at least get the radio playing in there, I don’t love listening to other people chew! Service was great.

Yindee!!! Such a cute name! They have a signature Yindee dish for $ 6.95 which is pretty tasty and simple — seasoned beef strips over a bed of lettuce. Their lemon chicken is a small portion of meat and I’m not sure it warrants the $ 8.95 price. It is tasty but could use some more sauce and meat. The chicken is deep fried into strips and the lemon sauce is strewn on top but there are many pieces that don’t get hit with the sauce so it does need a bit more. Their pad see eiw is solid for $ 8.95. The spicy salmon roll is a salmon roll with a spicy mayo put on top, whereas the spicy tuna is the normal cut into tiny bits mixed with spice tuna. The sweet potato roll is just alright and I found it to be a bit too dry. The shiitake maki was solid, as was the two tone roll. Honestly, I think Yindee excels in it’s non-sushi dishes but even the sushi items aren’t terrible. Everything is pretty decent actually. I’ve found some better sushi spots nearby but if in the area, I wouldn’t hesitate to order from Yindee again.

Yindee is wonderful. Their food is fresh and tastes great. They are so friendly and accommodating. We celebrated a friend’s birthday at Yindee and they helped to make is special. Their prices are very reasonable. I live right by them. I was worried about living near a restaurant because of rodents. I can tell you that the people at Yindee are outside constantly cleaning their kitchen mats and other kitchen items. The back of the restaurant is immaculate. Their dumpster is clean and never gross or over flowing. I am so impressed by the way they take care of their restaurant. Definitely check it out. I have never had anything I don’t like.

It’s a good thing this place isn’t very expensive. It shouldn’t be. Rarely do I have to send a dish back– I had to here. Even the simple house salad with ginger dressing was bad. Service was fine. Place is clean but no music, SO painfully quiet inside! Not coming back.

Delicious food every time! I feel a little guilty when I go somewhere else. The people are nice, and it’s a great, not to over the top, romantic setting, if your into that kind of thing.

I live right down the street from Yindee and I absolutely love it! Yindee has an incredible lunch specials menu. They offer large portions with a great variety of appetizers, sides and entrees to choose from. The best part of Yindee is the price: completely affordable. It is so well priced that I tend to dine at Yindee at least once a week, and that’s not including when I order takeout! Yindee has great décor throughout the restaurant, and they also have outdoor seating. Awesome plus! Some negatives: the service is not the greatest. Much of the waitstaff is not versed in the menu, which can make it difficult if you have questions about a specific dish. Also sometimes they let you make a spicy tuna roll crunchy and sometimes they say that they do not offer that option… very confusing. Yindee is a great place to go if you want to grab a bite to eat with some friends, or need to grab some quick take out on the go! I recommend it for the Thai/Japanese food fan who is consumer savvy and price conscious. Don’t expect it to be something that it’s not and Yindee will satisfy you just fine.

I was so disappointed by this place. I didn’t think it was possible to have bad pad see ew, but it was just not good at all. ZERO flavor, it was like just eating soggy tasteless noodles. Friend got pad thai and same thing. Unfortunately, won’t be back. From the other reviews it looks like maybe you’re ok if you avoid noodles. But really with so many options in the area, why even bother?

I went here around 9pm after an audition and it was lovely. Perfect place to relax and enjoy some quality food. Service was quick and attentive. I got the crab rangoon – piping hot and very well done, with real crab(something you don’t always see) – and a green curry. Thai ice tea was delicious as well. It’s super convenient, too; right under the Brown Line stop. Not too expensive and you get a lot of food, which is good leftover.

Great lunch special! The staff is relatively helpful, nothing amazing. They’re great with delivery and pickup. BYOB makes the place even better.

I crazy love this place. Everyone I know crazy loves this place. Yet, no one is ever in here… I don’t get it. Full disclosure: I’ve not had their thai menu, only their sushi, so I can only speak to that. I am a huge, huge fan of no-frills, fresh sushi; I don’t need anything deep fried, I don’t need papaya shaped into a rose for a garnish, I don’t need a $ 20 corking fee. If you’re looking for that, make your boyfriend pay and go to Arami in Ukranian Village because that place is amazing. Yindee’s fish is extremely fresh, as are their vegetables and rice. The prices are very fair — especially on their lunch specials where you can get two maki rolls and a miso soup for $ 9 — and the staff is quiet(not sure there’s a lot of English going on here) and pleasant. Love this place. $ 40 will leave two people full and happy. They serve you soda in a can, which is quirky, but whatever. This place is my favorite.

Not much to say. Excellent food, excellent service, reasonable price. I will be back. Side note — I paid in cash, and the waiter gave me very appropriate change so that tipping would be very easy. Its a small act, but it is a few things like this that make the evening low stress and enjoyable.

After having lived in Japan for three years, I’m pretty certain I have a good idea of what constitutes a quality Japanese food. That said, I loved Yindee. On a lark, I popped into Yindee for my second-shift lunch break, not knowing what to expect. Dressed in a heavy industrial parka and work backpack, the classiness of the place was very apparent and made me think I had stepped into a place above my blue-collar budget. Boy was I wrong. Upon looking at the menu I found the prices were very reasonable, and as I would later find, a great value. It was a Friday night, and I’d say it was about a third full of patrons — not empty, but not crowded either. Just right. So far so good. I wanted to mix up my palate with a variety of foods, so I ordered the Vietnamese Spring rolls, which were a light, and flavorful with the right amount of cilantro to «pop» in a way that complimented the vegetables, and the sesame sauce. Not bad at a price of $ 2.99 for two, elegantly presented. Next, I enjoyed the Thai Chicken Satay Kebabs. Grilled just right, and served with the Satay peanut butter sauce, the flavor leaves you hungry for more. As an appetizer at $ 5.99, there was lots of chicken to eat, and it came with a side of lettuce, tomato, and a slice of cucumber. I wrapped up my meal with a main entrée of Japanese Beef Teriyaki. Served with a small salad and a scrumptious ginger vinaigrette, white miso soup at perfection, the beef teriyaki was cooked just right. The beef’s flavor was the right combination of sweet and tart, sliced with perfect precision, and served over a beautiful bed of rice, beside leaves of lettuce. All for $ 10.99. I could have died happy right there. This was the sort of meal that left me feeling with and overwhelming sense of joy, and elation. It has been a very long time since I had a meal that brought me such pleasure, and emotional exhilaration. The service was fast and friendly, though I suspect the waiter’s command of the English language may have been a reason why he smiled so much, and said so little. Regardless, I thought he did a fine job. This is one of my new favorite places. あなたにインディー·ありがとうございました! (Thank you Yindee!)

After being invited to a birthday dinner here, I had the opportunity to try it out! I thought the food was fresh and high quality. I ordered teriyaki chicken and it was very good white meat chicken with a sweet glaze of teriyaki on top. Their miso was extremely tasty as well. I tried the Ginger Tofu stir fry and the masamon curry, which were both delicious as well. Overall, the birthday dinner was a success and I will be coming back! Much appreciated, Yindee!

I have been to Yindee once before. I stopped by in a hurry and wanted a quick bite before the Addison bus came. That first time the service was quick, they were very kind and I was in an out before the bus came. That being said, I didnt remember much about the food. Today, I heard some bad news and stopped in Yindee propelled by a sushi craving. I came in and ordered quickly. 2 mini mono rolls and 7 pieces of Nigiri. Now, I’m assuming their presentation is always flawless, but I was pleasantly surprised to find my sushi arranged in a BEAUTIFUL flower display. It certainly cheered me up. Next I’m happy to say that their fish portions for nigiri are quite large. most of the fish didnt even fit on the rice. AND it was exceptionally tasty! everything was so fresh, it was nearly intoxicating. Now, I tend to judge a sushi restaurant on a lot of things, but SUPERWHITETUNA nigiri and UNAGI nigiri play a huge role on if I go back to a restaurant… and this place… JEEZ. I felt faint. I’m actually in the restaurant writing this review right now because I am so impressed. Everything was excellent and decently priced. The ambience is inviting and the host is very attentive. I’m infinitely pleased and would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you, Yindee!

We LOVE this little Thai/Japanese restaurant. It is right under the brown line and so convenient from our house. When we moved here, we wanted to try as many restaurants as we could, especially the ones closest to us. We tried this one early on, and it was totally worth it. I love their Japanese(Sushi) and my husband loves their Thai. It’s the perfect combo! The service is great(most of the time… I’ve only had an issue once.) Love their after dinner«mints»!

Finally ate *inside Yindee(always just get take-out) and I loved the inside! Décor was modern, clean, and tranquil. The waitstaff was so nice, as they always are with take-out orders, and they were quick with everything — water refills, clearing plates, getting food out. The only thing that took a while was our gigantic sushi roll, which we were expecting as an appetizer, but arrived on the table after our entrees. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice to have that first.(it was good — some mango/salmon/cream cheese combo — real nice flavor pairing, but a tad heavy on the mayo) This time we both tried something new: Rama broccoli chicken for me. Delicious. A little sweet, a little spice, peanuty-sauce with ample broc and chicken, served with a big plate of rice.(took a decent amount with me, which served as lunch the next day) Bangkok noodles for him. I preferred my dish, but his was good too. Very thin noodles, chicken, broc. Had a little spice and a fish sauce flavor. Interesting… pretty good. * Bonus points for a super clean, updated bathroom with a beautiful blue sink :) The women’s bathroom sign reads«Girl Power», the men’s is something like«Man Cave». Cute.
