Came into Yard House with my boyfriend. The place is really big. Has a bar right in the middle. Really nice décor. The hosts were very nice, and we were sat asap(it was empty af) Our waitress was very nice also! We started off with the boneless jerk wings. AND I LOVEDTHEM. They were really good! I ordered the Pan seared Ahi, and my boyfriend the … I am going to mess this one up for sure, But the At-katak? lol It was salmon. He really liked the taste. However there were a lot of little bones inside the salmon still. Making the 3 star instead of a 4. For the price. Bones just should not be there. Tasted great, I made sure to taste his plate. But there were a lot of bones in it. Bummer. back to my plate, it was great! Tasted really good! We will be back, but will probably skip the salmon next time.

Are here on January 30th with my wife. Our server was Ana, who was both energetic and knowledgable. At her suggestion, we ordered the Firecracker Hot Wings and they were awesome– some of the best wings we’ve ever had. For entrees I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken with sweet potato pancakes and honey hot sauce and it was delicious– spicy but very moist. My wife had the Southern Fried Chicken Breast, and she loved it. The only(minor) ding I can think of was Ana said the chicken breast was a pound and a half, which I questioned her on. While it was an honest 8 ounces, that’s a third of what she said. The beer selection was vast, and the beer prices were quite reasonable for the New City area. We’ll be back, since we live 200 yards away in the SONO condo complex.

They have happy hour! Early evening and late night! They have a large variety of beers and ciders on draft. They have tons of options for the happy hour meals as well! Delicious as always!

I love the suburban Yard Houses that I’ve been to, so I was excited to see one pop up in the new complex at North and Clybourn. My friend and I stopped in to watch the Hawks game and have a few drinks. Now, if you’ve ever been to a Yard House, you know that their beer list is nothing short of overwhelming. We took a seat at the bar which was planted right on front of aTV, so we were happy. Our bartender seemed very knowledgeable and offered a few suggestions and we ordered from there. The food menu was also chock full of items, but we weren’t super hungry so we narrowed down our choices to the truffle fries and a pepperoni pizza(note that the pepperoni pizza also comes with mushrooms, but we asked to eliminate those). The fries were awesome – drizzled with oil just perfectly and flavorful. The pizza was just OK for me… it’s on the smaller side and perfect for sharing, but it wasn’t anything really special and nothing I couldn’t get elsewhere. I think that if you’re going to offer pizza as a menu item in a pizza-city like Chicago, there’s gotta be something more exciting and special about it. Overall, great experience and I’ll look forward to trying some different menu items next time!

I stopped into Yard House last night with a friend to catch the Hawks game. We grabbed seats at the bar, and we were greeted right away by one of the bartenders. Our bartender was very attentive and had some really great recommendations on beers and food. We ended up ordering a pizza and truffle fries. The truffle fries were SUPERGOOD — I would say some of the best I’ve had. I am not normally a fan of thin-cut fries, but these fries were pretty excellent. The pizza was on the smaller side but perfect to share between two people. It was a decent enough pepperoni pizza, but I have definitely had better pizza in the city(duh — this is Chicago). Yard House has plenty of TV’s, so I will for sure be back to catch some games in the future!

Yard House is a great spot in New City. We ordered the plate of nachos for an appetizer which were delicious but huge. I wouldn’t get them unless you are in a party of at least 4. We ended up being too full to finish our entrée. For main course we both got the Cuban pork dip which was amazing. Comes with a special Cuban sauce which was a nice compliment. They have a ton of beers on tap as well. Had Gumball Head from Three Floyds when we went. Which is pretty rare to have on tap. Overall a great spot for lunch or dinner

Went to this place for drinks in Denver. They recently opened a store in my home town Chicago. I thought it was a great concept & fell in love with them here. There’s nothing like a half yard pour of your favorite brew. With rotating craft beers & great cocktails. The hipped me to Ace Pineapple Cider, amazing. The deviled eggs were an interesting rendition. The Shrimp & Crawfish Jambalaya was a thumbs up effort. I couldn’t stop eating it if I wanted to. Conversation had to stop. I found myself back 2 days later. Even better! Burgers succulent & more savory than the self professed burger restaurants so highly regarded. Nice touch on the duck wings & interesting flat bread with the spinach dip. The street tacos were all delicious. The vampire is fun & tasty. The pork belly was flavorful & well done. My favorite was the swordfish taco. I’ve never really cared for swordfish as an entrée, but as a taco with all the right touches it’s terrific. The spicy rice was extra credit. If you’re thinking about them, do it. You’ll love it.

If you’re not a bastard, I recommend you try one of the fine brews from Chicago’s Moody Tongue Brewing Company. I suggest the Moody Tongue Sliced Nectarine. This one pours a dark burnt orange, with a quarter inch head. This definitely tastes and smells like nectarines, with hints of grapefruit, peach, and mango. Lots of hops here. Also a lot of herbal, grassy, and piney flavors. The bitterness lingers for a pretty long time, but it’s a clean bitterness. This could almost be a session ale, but it clocks in at 6.0%. I’ll also say it has a very juicy mouthfeel, as expected, with a moderate amount of carbonation. If you are a bastard, I suggest you order a goddamn miller light.

I am giving 5 stars for Yard House. I thoroughly enjoyed this place from the welcome at the entrance to the great service and good tasting food. Me and longtime friend popped in to exchange gifts over the busy holiday season and decided on the new hot spot so we could also check out the new construction of New City. We made it just in time for Happy Hour(M-F 3 – 6 pm). The servings were more than enough for two. We ordered the full order of Jerk wings(made with a jerk rub and not too spicy), spinach dip with homemade pita chips(AMAZING!!!) and two of the Vampire tacos. We came for the tacos but both agreed that the other two items ranked higher. We ended with two martinis(during happy hour are $ 3 off $ 10.95). We had the absolute best server Aaron. Great personality and certainly knows the menu and the choice selections to offer based on your mood and cravings. He was the best. Overall great 1st experience. Definitely will be back to try some other goodies.

For a new restaurant or an established restaurant service was excellent. Menu was huge, which I am concerned as they may not be able to maintain that. But everything was excellent. The lettuce wraps and hummus were great. I had a Kale Caesar with Ahi Tuna. The tuna was seared perfectly less then a millimeter around the edge. And I really liked their take on the Caesar using Kale. Was not doused in dressing the way a lot of Caesars are these days. And we had 2 of their deserts. The peach cobbler with cinnamon ice cream and the chocolate brownie smores. Both were excellent, I would say the cobbler was a bit too sweet. I am looking forward to returning but only after I try the rest of the new restaurants at New City!

In my opinion, the food was just average. They have an extensive fusion menu, so it is of my opinion it is harder to be awesome at every dish when you have so many options from American, cajun and Asian. I’d definitely come back though for the clean and roomy ambiance and great beer selection. Over 100 beers on tap. The bathrooms are very clean which the entrance doors automatically open. Always bonus when enjoying a few pints.

Some friends and I stopped in to Yard House for lunch on a Saturday and had an enjoyable meal. Décor: This place is located in an outdoor mall, which is a solid location, but given the weather it wasn’t too crowded. The interior is set up like a restaurant-bar/pub feel to it. There are tons of tables and a huge bar. Additionally there are plenty of TVs and tons of light from the huge windows. I even think there are outdoor tables for nicer-weather days. Bathroom: very well kept and looked after; clean and well lit Staff: Our waiter was very friendly and genuine. He was there when we needed him(for orders, needed items) and not when we didn’t. Our food came out rather quickly and our water glasses remained full. Food/Drinks: We started with a few half yards of beer — how could you NOT get a half yard! —(they have a HUGE beer menu, which includes Coors Light for lame guys like me) and then moved onto lunch. We had a Rice Bowl, Chicken Wings(jerk style), a burger, and the jambalaya. Everything came out hot and tasted pretty good. Personally, I had the wings(which were good but I wish they were crispier) and the jambalaya(which tasted good but lacked a lot of ingredients… there is NOT much seafood here, it was practically all rice and a bit of sausage). I’m a bit disappointed with the execution on the food as the menu is completely great and, before eating, I already wanted to return. That changed… Value: Prices are reasonable. It’s nice that they price out half-size orders as well. This trip to Yard House was decent. The potential to wow me was there but they failed to capitalize on it. I would give it another try in the future but only if I’m in the area and other options don’t work out.

Being from California, I’m a super happy camper Yard House made it out to the Mid West. Just as I remember it from back home, one of the best happy hours around and excellent selection of beer. The one thing I have to gripe about this location is they’re about as clear as mud with their happy hour times and specials. If I recall correctly happy hour is M-F 3−6pm and Sun-Wed10pm-close. Initially our server told us specials were on all food being 25% off. But this was incorrect. Looking at my bill it was ~40% off appetizers and one pizza we ordered, however the side of veggies we ordered ended up costing more than the individual appetizers we ordered. SIIGH. Beers range from $ 1 – 2 off pints, which comes out to ~$ 5 pints. Not bad considering their vast the craft beer selection. If it’s your first time here for happy hour, go for the chicken nachos, bbq pizza, or thai chicken pizza. Most worth it IMO. Hopefully they bring some of the other slider options out here, as they only had the standard sliders on the menu(bring the béarnaise and turkey burger sliders please). Til next time, cheers!

Great new restaurant. Has a very casual atmosphere, large bar, tons of tvs and a ridiculous variety of beers on tap. Had the salmon kale salad and really liked it. Nice portion of fresh salmon, good size salad with fresh ingredients, but not too overwhelming. Husband had the tacos and liked em. Will be back.

First thing that caught my attention on my second visit to this place was their main door handles shaped like a yard glass… very thoughtful and impressive. So ive been here two times and based on my first visit id give it a 4 star, but if I take a average of both my visits, its a 3 star, which means decent. Excellent plus points for a beer enthusiast like myself, they have an incredible beer selection available on tap. Kudos. On top of which, they serve their beers in an awesome half yard glass(if you order one) that is as tall as a 4 yr old boy, :p FUN Other than the above, its a decent sports ar kinda setup. Ample space to move around. Pretty decent food menu, loved their queso cheese and chips appetizer. Biggest turn off was when I ordered the half yard in my 2nd visit, there was like an inch wide froth/foam in my beer. I have seen in most bars that when tap beers are served, the bartenders make sure that they fill the beer glass properly with the beer avoiding the beer froth/foam. But here, when I hit my beer, within a minute I was able to see that the widest part of my half yard was empty as the foam settled. The waitress for our table for my first visit was awesome, but the one for my second visit was just ok and talked nicely only while handing me the check. Overall, decent place with good beer selection.

I live in the area and I am happy that there is a place that serves upscale bar food(nachos, burgers, wings, etc) However, if I did not live in the area, there would be no reason to come here. Lets be honest, we live in Chicago and there’s no need to eat average food. The atmosphere is fun, with tons of TVs for sports and the entire restaurant is HUGE. This is a perfect place to bring parents when visiting in town. The menu is also large with seasonal items and they have a great outdoor area. Downside: they do not serve brunch, which is lame! But they do serve a good cup of coffee(Lavazza I believe). Anyway, I can understand the bad reviews, but I’ve been here three times now, once with carry out, as it’s convenient for me instead of waiting an hour+ for delivery food. The nachos were really good. The pizza is okay(Max is Leos in Kings bowling alley is way better!). The chicken and pancake thing is super yummy. Onion rings are fantastic(seemed homemade to me). Again, this is upscale bar food at a reasonable price. Nothing fancy.

So, let’s start this off on a good note… I like the logo and the staff is mostly attentive. Once you get past that, it’s pretty much like a pseudo fancy Applebee’s. Complete with drunk sports watchers and tall beers and a misleading menu. Yeah that«kale Caesar salad» is only going to be 15% kale with the rest being mixed greens and romaine(the manager even said«yeah it’s misleading»). To their credit they replaced my salad with one of all kale after I brought it to their attention. And quickly. But to their discredit when the woman brought it out and I said«that’s romaine» she’s like«no, that’s kale». I had the Mac and cheese with fake chicken, which probably would have tasted better if it didn’t look and taste and chew like it was sitting under the heat lamps for an extended time. It was… Chewy, but also cute because they used trumpet macaroni. All in all I’ll say it wasn’t a culinary masterpiece and for $ 17 Mac and cheese I expected to be at least like«oooooooooh!» Versus«oh.» The staff was great though. Truly attentive and honest and constantly brought back refills. There seemed a pressure to drink since everyone else had alcohol, but the drinks looked… Applebeesish, and I hate that place. Maybe I’ll go back and see if it wasn’t just because of that Friday Night crowd they were just overworked but then again, when is that ever a valid excuse for lying about kale. Bad server!

I recently ate here and the food was mostly amazing. The place is relatively new so I wasn’t sure what to think. I tried the Blue Crab cakes, Grilled Korean beef, Seared Ahi Tuna Kale Salad, Seared Ahi Tuna Sandwich, and the Trio Sampler which had a lemon soufflé, chocolate soufflé, and a peach cobbler. Everything was spot on except the side salad and clam chowder soup which was pretty underwhelming. Blue Crab cakes — not huge but definitely great crab flavor and sauce with amazing presentation. Grilled Korean Beef — great grilled flavor, generous portion with a nice sauce. Seared Ahi Tuna Kale Salad — the pepper crust on the tuna was very flavorful Seared Ahi Tuna Sandwich — thick generous cut of rare tuna with mild flavor but very fresh tasting. Trio sampler — I loved the ice cream on the cobbler and the lemony soufflé. I’m definitely coming back to try more things. TL;DR Crab cakes — Yes Korean Beef — Yes Ahi Tuna — Yes Soufflé — Yes Side salad — Meh Clam chowder — No

Great food, great beer selection excellent service. I know that many Chicagoans are not familiar with Yard House. But if you traveled and you tried the others it is a great place. Excellent food variety freshly prepared great beer selection and a fun atmosphere. I really enjoyed my first visit here. The only thing I think that would make a difference is the parking situation nine dollars to park is a little steep. But otherwise it’s a really good place.

I hate to leave a less-than-stellar review for this place because they just opened up this location and the servers/managers were SO nice to us, but I’ll review based on the quality of the food. I came here last night for dinner with a group of friends, and we were immediately greeted warmly and enthusiastically by the hostess. Our server was also very enthusiastic and made sure we understood the food menu and the(extensive) drink menu. Man, they have a lot of beer! The selection was great, but on the pricier side, especially for cocktails. The food menu is huggeee, with options for everyone, but I think the variety of things served lead to lower quality food. The burgers looked delicious, but the fries were soggy and unseasoned. I ordered the chicken garlic noodles, which was good at first, but left a weird plasticy aftertaste in my mouth that wouldn’t go away. Overall, the food was very meh. However, I do give the team there props! A manager came by our table to make sure we were all doing okay twice, and our waitress came by several times throughout the meal to check up on us. Everyone was very knowledgeable about the menu, and I really loved the atmosphere. While I may not come back here for the food, I’ll definitely come back for drinks!
