I love this park, it is one of my favorites. The park is on Wrightwood and Greenview and has(2) full size bball courts, a large running dirt track, baseball field, park, volleyball, sandbox AND field house. The field house is very small but this park is now in a great area and the kids are all nice and most of the visitors are from nice families. Who wants their kids around ghetto kids? lol. I’ve had excellent years here playing sports and there is an excellent police presence to keep you feeling safe. The staff will let anyone borrow a ball, the one downfall is the field house’s tilted roof.

The park is great but don’t press your luck with the pool on weekends or hot days. The capacity is 40 but they only let around 30 in at a time and won’t let more in as people leave, so prepare to wait an hour and a half to get in. If you do get in, you will get to swim for 45 minutes before they close the pool for 15 minutes so the lifeguards can take a break(you take all your belongings with you) and let the next group of people waiting in. If there are more than 30 people waiting then you are out of luck and have to wait another hour and a half to get back in.

This park district is very small. My son and I go to class there once a week and it serves the purpose. It is not the cleanest but with park district classes, you sometimes get what you pay for. They have a decent amount of toys and different tables for blocks and coloring etc. We clean up and then sit for singing songs which is nice. We haven’t been able to use the playground outside since it has been so cold and snowy. The playground looks great though. We will definitely be back in the spring to play on it. They also have an outdoor pool which is a pretty good size. Parking on the street has always been easy for me.
