Large Walgreens located right on Michigan Avenue in the Wrigley Building. With a redbox, sushi bar, beer cave(large fridge with many beer options including unique bombers), pharmacy, etc this Walgreens has everything you could need! We were able to get everything for a happy hour with friends(cheese, salami, wine, sushi) right here. All fresh and inexpensive! I’m not one to give out 5 stars easily, especially for a chain like Walgreens, but this location is honestly so impressive that I must! They are clean, courteous, and have an amazing number of options for food, drinks, and other products.

Staff here is consistently rude. I work in the building so I go here all of the time. The lady that stocks and works in cosmetics is the WORST. One time I went to the cosmetic counter to check out because I was purchasing COSMETICS and she just looks up at me and shakes her head and says NO, go downstairs. LOL. THEN another time she was stocking and I asked her where cold medication is and she wouldn’t look up and answer me… after my third attempt she looks up and says«ask someone else.» It’s not just her though, it’s literally every cashier in the building. We actually had a meeting at work and all decided that we would pool together for an instacart membership because we were sick of having to deal with the Walgreens employees. Like holy s&%$^ what are you paying them to make them SO miserable?!

I have dropped off my medications at this pharmacy for over a year, and every time I am speaking with Elle K. or the other man with glasses there is ALWAYS an unnecessary problem. They make you feel like you’re disgusting for having a prescription, they most definitely give off the impression that they are judging you based off your prescription, and they ALWAYS make me wait until the next day or more when i picked up the prescription that exact day the previous month. I have not dealt with this kind of rude and unprofessional behavior at any other Walgreens pharmacy. I dropped off my prescription today, waited twenty minutes with the intention that i would be able to pick it up that day especially since i picked up LAST month on april 2nd only ONE day before which has never ever ever been a problem before. The extremely unaccommodating physician refused to give me the script that i told her was very inconvenient for me to pick up the next day and still not even an apology. She tried to say that because i picked up my medication six months ago on dec 26th which would have been in line with the time that i’m supposed to get my medication, that i’m trying to pick it up too early??? I am someone who does NOT abuse their prescription and is very respectful no matter what and NEVER writes Unilocal reviews. I cannot continue to deal with this kind of sumptuous mistreatment, and unfortunately i’ll have to continue my prescription at another walgreens as of today. I plan on writing a letter to Walgreens directly as well. That is how upset Ms. Elle K. has made me.

Very expensive with abysmal service staff. Guy charged me for two packs of cigarettes instead one in a cash transaction with other items, then conveniently forgot to give receipt until asked(total bill seemed instinctively too high). Luckily I checked my receipt nearby and got my cash back. If I had left the store I would have been screwed. Other staff are just plain rude and don’t seem to want to work. Not worth the premium prices designed for tourists.

I have only ever seen one other Walgreens like this before, and that was in San Francisco. Tucked in the Wrigley building, this is a 2 story Walgreens with a whole makeup store. I’m not kidding, it’s got basically a Sephora on the 2nd floor with makeup brands that even Sephora doesn’t carry! I had to pop in here a few times during my stay to pick up an ankle wrap or waters because $ 4 for a water at my hotel was stupid. But $ 2 for a litre of smartwater was acceptable. I loved this location.

Mirabilia dictu! This is by far THECOOLEST Walgreens in the entire chain! It has to be, the architecture of the Wrigley Building is phenomenal, and their occupancy has done nothing but improve the space. Wrigley owners owe them a debt of gratitude because it makes the building truly come alive. To quote the Blues Brothers: «This place has got everything!» It is two floors of food and merchandise for all your urban living needs, and tourists as well. They have a nice selection of everything including a beer and wine cooler, lots of prepared foods and snacks, and all the basic household necessities. After a long day I just want to go home. When I realize I’m out of garbage bags or soap, I can count on this location to give me the selection I need without having to walk the equivalent of a parking lot and then another half mile in the store. It is big and spacious, but everything seems so close by to a register and an exit, whether you are upstairs or down. The staff is really wonderful too! No kidding. They even have an outdoor patio section which is a terrific space between the two buildings. Lots of fun and activity. My only critique is that the pharmacy hours seem truncated. It would be nice if it were open until midnight, or at least until 10pm. For those of us who work till 5pm(on a good day!) and do the reverse commute, we miss it by a half hour.

This Walgreens is HUGE. It’s at least twice the size of most Walgreens locations I have been to in the US. I wouldn’t even call it a pharmacy anymore. It’s basically a full grocery store. There is a good selection of groceries, plus a Whole Foods style juice and smoothie bar. Prices are the same as other Walgreens locations in the city.

This Walgreens location is in a prime location — right on Michigan Avenue in the Wrigley Building. The décor is great with the marble floors and very bright atmosphere. The layout is very well done. The staff is mostly on the rude side. Most of the employees seems they would rather be other places.

Great location right on Michigan Ave. The store has a great selection, wide aisles, never a long line, and quite possibly the friendliest staff of any Walgreens. There’s an awesome juice/smoothie bar with loads of great concoctions to cool you off during the hot Chicago summers. Or just as nice treat any other time of year.

This is for the minute clinic. Don’t bother trying to walk in. I just wasted my time based on the assumption they take walk ins like their website said. They were polite and it’s probably not the employees’ fault but they pretty much came out and told me not to bother waiting. So frustrating. Again I guess make an appointment or don’t waste your time, because their website is misleading.

This Walgreen’s is in an exceptional building — such a fantastic and historical location! I love the new concept of an expanded grocery selection with many fresh food options, including sushi and juice bars! The bad: the store is a bit spread out, especially on the second floor and could use better signage to where various items can be found. The ugly: one of the cashiers was beyond rude, accusing me of cutting the line(I didn’t but she sure chastised me loud enough the whole store probably thinks I did) and then refused to check me out saying I threw my items at her(again, I didn’t but she certainly wanted to create a scene with me). I will never, ever return to this location. I will never re-fill a prescription at Walgreen’s. And, I’ll only go to Walgreen’s if there is no other convenient drugstore available.

Nice new location on Michigan ave. Its two floors and is more of a super Walgreens? I keep seeing more flagship style locations like this one in Chicago. One on north ave in wicker park and anther on diversey in Lincoln park. It’a great to have a large store like this in such a high traffic/touristy part of the city as the lines get ridiculously long in the smaller stores.

Walgreens has stepped up the quality of their recently renovated locations in the city. Walgreens has become more of a local grocer than a quick convenient store. They have more food selections, larger make up and beauty sections, vitamins, school supplies, you name it. They have lightened up the atmosphere and rejuvenated the convenient store experience. More and more businesses are moving away from the quick serve sector and into the casual quick serve higher end service models.
