We recently celebrated my daughter’s college graduation at VIncent with 17 family members(one of whom arrived last minute) and had a wonderful experience. The food was fabulous, from terrific cheese selections, to mussels, to small and large plates. We enjoyed cocktails and delicious wine. Our service was phenomenal. Our diverse party of eaters all had a wonderful experience. Sharla made the arrangements with us and she was a joy to work with. I highly recommend!

It’s so cute inside, I fell in love the moment I walked through the door. Staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent. If you’re a cheese lover, I highly recommend ordering a few; they were some of the best I’ve ever had. Other highlights were the frites, little gem salad, and a delightful spring arancini with ramps and asparagus. We were blown away by this place and cannot wait to go back. It’s perfect for a special occasion or a relaxing weeknight dinner with friends. Highly recommend this place!

I REALLY want to give this 5 stars. I could probably even be convinced to do it. Cocktails: Most leaned a bit towards the bitter for me, but they are well executed. There’s one there now I can’t find on the menu they said is going to stay for summer — it was a bit small in quantity, but well rounded — floral and fruity and not too sweet. Sorry I can’t find the name. smoke & mirrors was too smoky for me, didn’t like it(but get it if you like smoke), They sat our group of 8 almost 40 minutes late. I really didn’t care, I swear. We were having drinks and it was fine, we had each other to chat with. However, they did give us an enormous cheese board to compensate, and it’s one of the best cheese boards I’ve had in YEARS. Everything fresh, excellent selection, wow. It would have cost a fortune… Apps: Chicken Liver Mousse: Very good, possibly excellent, but about 1⁄10 the amount of bread you need to go with it– please add more because we left an enormous quantity of mousse, having nothing to spread it on. Brussels Sprouts Salad: Good, but not excellent. A little bland, or just nothing stood out Frites: They’re frites, they’re good, nothing to write home about Whole rainbow trout: Holy toledo. FREAKINGFANTASTIC fish. I didn’t share. The fish was perfectly cooked, the lemon buerre was velvety and not too lemony. Amazing(although they could have put a tad less on, it was a bit over buttered). Potatoes were ALMOST undercooked, but just passed. Spinach was the perfect accompaniment, and just wilted(perfect) Desserts were all 4⁄5 — I can’t remember any one specifically except some chocolate mousse squares, predictably good. They were all very tasty, no complaints, I do remember that.

My husband and I decided to come to Vincent for our anniversary dinner and were extremely pleased with food and service. This restaurant has a high brow but down to earth vibe. It“s handsome and warm. The staff is very friendly. The food is wonderful. My cocktail(called Homework) paired well with the Beer Mussels. Yum! Next time I’m having the Curry and Lime Mussels. This place is a definite gem!

I wish every neighborhood had a restaurant of this caliber! I brought my foodie friend along to try this place, after reading other great reviews. It ended-up being way above my expectations. This is a cozy, absolutely adorable French restaurant with an eclectic décor and very romantic feel to it. On Wednesday night we were able to get a lovely window sit which allowed some great people watching. As soon as we got seated and looked around we noticed A GEMWITHINTHEGEM the cheese table behind us… WOW!!! I had only seen such a great cheese selection at TRU(obviously at a different price point!) We immediately decided to leave some room for a cheese course, which(see pictures) was heavenly!!! They brought out a warm bougette which came with a unique presentation of butter in olive oil with sweat roasted garlic. What a great complementary touch! We shared Cassoulet and Fennel both prepared beautifully. I must say that their Cassoulet was one of the best I had, because of their house made sausage which was fabulous! The Fennel deserves a full description, it was not only delicious but extremely creative! There were 3 fried risotto balls with melted mozzarella inside on the bed of crispy fennel with tiny roasted florets of cauliflower in a mind-blowing sauce!!! Of course we finished with a cheese course, fresh unique cheeses served with french style delicious gem and honey… Yum! They have a wonderful staff, we were quite late and they still greeted us with a great attitude and were very forgiving of our situation. Our waitress wasn’t just friendly, she knew her stuff! Of course a major selling point for me is that they have a great wine list with minimal markups! In other words– this place rocks!!!

Vincent has an amazing ambiance. Although I didn’t get to have dinner, we ordered a couple bottles of wine as well as a charcuterie and cheese platter and it was delicious. Our waitress was extremely friendly as well as knowledgeable. I think this is a great place for a date, or a girl’s wine night. Can’t wait to visit again next time I’m in Chicago.

I cannot express enough of how good the food at Vincent. They’ve a whole trout with a caper sauce that dances in your mouth. The burgers are succulent and big. Beet salad has baby beets that are tender with a gentle beet taste. People that work there are always friendly and inviting.

Third time’s a charm… I live nearby and really wanted to love this place. We had two less than memorable experiences, and then recently we gave it another shot and had a great meal. It’s such a cozy dining room with candles lining the walls. Our waiter was efficient and mellow. I had a gnocchi with kabocha squash and sage… perfectly wintery and extremely delicious! My dining partner had a pork dish and raved about it. The cheese plate was really good, fresh baked bread with garlic butter is amazing… The biggest surprise was the cocktails– they were fantastic. Better than a recent trip to the Violet Hour, believe it or not… and right here in the neighborhood. So, if you’ve been to Vincent before and had an okay time, give it another shot– the menu right now is great, the drinks are really tasty, and overall it’s a classy experience. PS On a more recent visit, they took down our number and promised to call when a spot at the bar became available. They never called, which surprised me.

Nice neighborhood restaurant in Andersonville. Interesting décor. Had the mussels(an item I love) and was not disappointed.

I have been to Vincent about a half-dozen times and each time has been phenomenal. This is arguably one of my favorite restaurants in the city and is definitely the best in Andersonville. Here are some highlights from my last two times at Vincent: — I went with my family and the four of us had a delicious meal on a cold winter night. First, their mixed drinks are fantastic and should not be overlooked. They are perfectly made and have a great twist to traditional classics. As for entrees our table had the fennel cauliflower risotto, the burgers, and the amish chicken. Everything was noteworthy and the service as always was exception — Also went on a double date more recently. Ordered the go to Smoke No Mirrors, the old-fashion derivation. After all the times eating here I finally had the mussels and they were delicious. I got the curry mussels and the were so good. My wife has the risotto, which was also kingly and delicious as always. I can’t recommend Vincent enough. It’s a fantastic restaurant and I’m surprised it doesn’t get more hype in the press. Definitely check this place out!

On point customer service you always feel welcome. The curry mussels are my favorite, let’s be honest it’s because of the aoli and fries that come with it. You can byo wine with a ten dollar corkage fee. They also change there decorations along with the seasons, right now it’s hanging candles from the sealing. It’s like Harry Potter! I love coming here because I always feel like I am coming home

I really enjoy coming here for brunch. Sunday funday brunch, then stroll the neighborhood after and continue on with some more DRANKZ at some of the local watering holes. What could be better. They take reservations, aren’t overly packed and serve quality food with good service. Great place to come with friends where you can actually hear each other and converse. The chalkboard omelets are always fun and fresh. Pick from various ingredients and enjoy the goodness. The setting is intimate and enjoy the hardwood and tiled interior. They also offer outdoor seating in front of the restaurant. Defiantly a wonderful option anytime you are in Andersonville.

This is the kind of comfy little neighborhood place that you’d expect to find on a northside side street. The staff is friendly and the food is pretty good. However…the food is a bit overpriced for what is on the plate. The pork shoulder and hangar steak, for example, are a good portion size and are prepared excellently, but do not come with a starch and leave you feeling a little unsatisfied. The service, while friendly, is so stupidly slow and disorganized I thought I was being punked! No, really… at one point I thought a joke was being played on me. I’m not a typical American diner… I appreciate being allowed to linger and enjoy my dining experience. I don’t expect or want my food to come immediately and then rush out the door. But it shouldn’t take 15 minutes for your drink order to arrive. I shouldn’t have to order the same bottle of wine from 3 different people to finally get it A HALFHOURLATER! My after-dinner drink shouldn’t come out after the desert! All three of these things happened to me on the same night! Also, we had so many people coming to the table for different things that it was hard to tell who in fact was our main service person… and the staff didn’t seem to have a clear handle on that either. Service was very haphazard to say the least. So, while this place has a lot of potential, the service is so terribly slow and disorganized I won’t bother ever going back when there are so many other charming little neighborhood bistros all over this city that take the effort to give their clientele a good experience, not just good food.

Service was a tiny bit slow, but the food was heavenly. Beautifully presented. Favorite app: polenta. Decadent and creamy. I would’ve eaten it for dinner, absolutely! For dinner, I really enjoyed the skate wing. The carrot and saffron purée was so tasty, it really complimented the fish. I feel like this place is a tiny bit hidden since it’s off the main strip of Clark. But worth it! I’m going back for brunch!

Good news is the food is awesome. Bad news is the limited and limited appealing menu items listed.(including drinks) The drink menu just isn’t too appealing. My friend had«The Spirit Animal» which had rum and mescal in it. He liked it… I thought it was horrible. But then, I’m not big on the bitter drinks. I just had a citron vodka and club soda.(no other flavors)… The polenta appetizer was outstanding — it had so many ingredients in it such as asparagus, ramp, mushrooms etc. that at first I wasn’t sure it was the correct one delivered but as I looked around, there was plenty of polenta. I opted for the Roasted Amish Chicken and it was moist and delicious. My dining companion had the muscles with the white wine sauce. My only complaint is again… limited appealing menu options… wasn’t in the mood for a lamb burger or skate wing. but then again, I never am. Still, if you are in the mood for Chicken or Muscles, definitely visit Vincent, but have your drinks down the block at Martys first.

Good food, moderate portions, and really friendly service. I went during Sunday for brunch and they were busy even the waitresses forgot what we ordered! But she was kind and asked again(she didn’t write it down) because I think she was the only one covering the area we were in and she comped one of our meals. Menu selection was slim but I think they must change their menu often(idk). Great décor, no waiting, and beautiful ambience.

Sometimes, you eat at a place in your own neighborhood and think, «Why the HELL haven’t I been coming here all the time?!» That was our reaction to our meal at Vincent tonight. We went to Vincent the month it opened and, though it was pretty good, we haven’t been back since. However, tonight we needed a neighborhood bistro to take our rents to after a holiday event, and it really hit the spot. It’s pretty much everything you could want in a 1. European-style bistro; 2. neighborhood café; 3. date night restaurant. The atmosphere is really incredible. It’s small, quaint, romantic, and just lively enough. The staff is also really kind and attentive. They probably have the best mussels in the city – and some of the best charcuterie. The burgers, fries, roasted chicken, risotto, and crème brûlée were also all delicious. If it’s a weekend, you will definitely need a reservation. The secret is out, and this place is a gem!
