U-Haul

I have used this facility 4 times. I used it twice just last year and I’ve never had any complaints. However, when I went to rent a pick up yesterday and I was disappointed. Whenever I’ve rented a truck from them they have put an estimated hold on my debit card but never charged me until I returned the truck. Yesterday however, they actually charged me $ 80.00 for not even renting the truck for 24 hours. When I returned the truck this morning I received an email stating that I would be refunded for the difference of $ 28. I’m not sure how they justify just picking a random amount to charge me and then tell me they will refund me for the difference.
In the past I’ve always had a hold put on my account not an actual cleared transaction. Now I have to wait 3 days to get back the money that they overcharged. Also, the staff is unpleasant and they all act like they are tired and really don’t want to be there. Needless to say I will never visit this facility again and I will bath mouth them to everyone I know.

This place was a disaster. I reserved a furniture dolly by phone a week in advance. When I arrived, I spent more than 30 minutes waiting in line, only to be told by exceptionally surly employees AFTER paying to pick up my dolly that they didn’t even carry the type I had reserved at this location. They did not offer a replacement or discount on a similar dolly, just stared at me blankly and talked on their cellphones while I tried to figure out my options. Unless you idea of a good time is decoding meaningless reservations, avoid this place.

I don’t have any complaints when I was sent to another Uhaul place and they didn’t have the truck that I reserved I was sent to this U-​Haul Store and I wish I was sent here first!!!
They were friendly and fast, help me alleviate some of the stress from moving and if I were going to move with friends instead of movers I would use them again!!!

This place is efficient and well stocked, small trucks, uHauls, larger trucks, boxes, bubble wrap, tape, mattress covers… you name it they have it. I was able to go online and reserve the truck, and they were okay with someone else (my helper) using his license to drive it. While waiting I walked the store & picked out supplies while a clerk with a hand held «register» tallied up my purchases which were ready to be paid for at the counter and someone took them quickly to my car. Couldn’t have been better. Absolutely top notch!

Ah U-​haul, a necessary evil for transients like myself. I really hate moving. It’s torture. Still, overall, this particular U-​haul didn’t make it any worse. The lines at the rental place were long and ridiculously slow moving. It seemed as if the staff were disorganized and/​or inefficiant. Still, once I got to the counter things moved rather smoothly and quickly. The truck was fine. It did its job. The gas gauge was squirrely, but the staff were pretty chill about it at check in and there were no issues about whether I re-​gased it or not (which I did). They were conveniently located for me, and the move went rather smoothly overall.
I did do my reservation online. U-haul’s online site couldn’t be easier. But if you use U-​haul to rent any other services then trucks, be wary. I attempted to rent a storage locker at the same time and while I got confirmation of both my truck and my locker, the storage facility received nothing from U-​haul, nor did they have anything available. The online service is fantastic, but falls short in the execution.
