Tuesday’s Child

I took a 6 month course at Tuesday’s Child on parenting. The motto is «helping your child succeed.» I learned so much. I now know to focus on telling my daughter what she can do instead of focusing on what she can’t do. It sounds so easy but it made a huge difference. Other tools such as differential attention and antecedent planning have been so helpful. They have trainers, peer mentors and a clinical psychologist running the classes. They also have a child care area where your child plays while the parent is in class. Your child is evaluated by the caregivers who are trained to identify problems and offer support for any problems they identify with your child. I hope to return as a peer mentor soon. I am so glad I attended the course and am a better parent today!
