I was there yesterday with my friend both for our first time and we both had a great time. The environment was great and loved having the wrestling on the TV. I have not watched wrestling for 10 years or so now and it was wonderful to have that experience. The one issue I have is that I was very excited to have the duck fat fries but when I got them, they were average. I tried my friend’s fries which were just the standard fries, and they tasted exactly the same as mine. So either I was charged an extra $ 2.50 for fries the don’t have a different taste or I was given the wrong fries. But the burger I ordered(hotty totty) was great and my friend was talking about the Bacon Blue all day.

What happened?! This was our go to! The garlic mash was terrible, pizza cold(even though we arrived early for our twenty minute pick up time), and burgers not the same amazing taste. We asked for extra hot totty sauce and they gave us a random sauce. The pretzel buns were hard/stale. Now we are unsure of ever ordering from here again… Sadly this might be the beginning of the end and we hope we are wrong! Updated: we tried again and SUCCESS! The above review must have been a bad night. Divine, again. Yay! We are back!

I think I fell in love with my green eyed server, she was so personable! A few buds and I are former OVW trainees, and know a couple guys that wrestle for ROH. So when ROH came to Chicago, this became a must stop. An additive bonus, they did transportation to the ROH/NJPW show! Like I said our server was amazing. She was attentive, personable and knew the menu so well. She suggested the oatmeal cookie milkshake, and she was so right. It’s more delightful than what you are imagining it tastes right now. I Unilocaled the place before hand, so I knew I wanted the pizza wontons. Yum! But so filling, I took two bites of my smash burger and had to ask for a box. The place is really modern and clean. Wrestling and MMA on every TV. The walls are filled with wrestlers signatures that have stopped by.

Good food and service! Have so many different hamburgers and pizzas to choose from that you will find one that catches your eye! Milkshakes are very good specially the adult ones with alcohol!

Great food & service! I loved my burger! However, I think their drink prices are high for the quality. My drink was very watered down.

I had a groupon here and I was in the area with my mom so we decided to try this place out. It was about 6 in the evening on a Monday and it was pretty empty which was cool with me. I ordered us the bacon cheddar wontons as an appetizer, which were pretty good. As for the main meal I ordered the blue cheese burger and mac&cheese on the side, oh and I ordered a Twinkie shake. My mother ordered the chicken and bacon salad. All in all the food was good and the service was good but all could be different on a busy night.

So far I love the squared circle. I’m not into wrestling by any stretch but I like food that is over the top. Love when restaurants get completely absurd with burger toppings and this place is really on it! I tried the Elvis burger and I liked if but not as much as the one from lockdown. Another time I ordered the hillbilly paradise burger — cheddar stuffed and topped, pulled pork, bourbon bbq, mayo. Also enjoyed this one. The French fries are just ok. But they also have sweet potato fries which I have yet to try. It’s walking distance from my house and the appetizers all look pretty great. I’d even be excited to try the pizzas.

COST: $ 13.50(Bacon Blue Burger) $ 6(Plenty Beer Tall Boys) If there’s a big WWE or UFC match, you’ll most certainly find me here all the time. Why? Because the food is great, the people are great and no cover charge(usually if you come in before 9:30 or 10PM). It’s big enough to accommodate a few wrestling and MMA afficionados, but it’s also intimate enough to provide a great atmosphere. The walls are filled with wrestling memorabilia and signatures from wrestlers who have checked the place out. Get the bacon bleu burger or the wontons. It’s not your traditional«Chinese» wonton but trust me on this one, order it!

Man, I’m glad this place exists. It’s a little odd — the service is a tad schizophrenic, and the space is strangely laid out — and the food is basically garbage, but god almighty, it’s such delicious garbage. I could do the booze milkshakes until I slip into a diabetic coma. The beer list is decent, and the bartenders know their business. Most of all, though, it’s a great spot to watch a rasslin’ show with friends, and it’s really cool to have a wrestling-themed bar/burger joint in the city. WHOOOOOOO!

Started off with the pizza wontons, which were excellent, despite my expectations. Dough was soft and warm and lightly dusted with Parmesan with a cheesy pepperoni inside and some marinara to dip. Then I ordered the hot mess burger, which came with hot giardiniera, pepper jack cheese, jalapeño poppers, sautéed mushrooms, and ranch on top. Sounds like too much and kind of was. It was difficult to enjoy the burger with so many different flavors– it was delicious but could have been better if it just had a little less. Ambiance was a little strange, as the whole place is wrestling themed, which is somewhat entertaining, somewhat distracting. But there was an awesome arrangement of softer alternative music that was really comfortable for a restaurant but not very in line with the décor. Wait staff was super super nice, prompt, and helpful. Would return.

This place has the best burgers in the city period! Pizzas and other items are just as great. I’ve never had a bad meal here! No matter what you order, you will be satisfied. The service is ALWAYS great and attentive… I’ve never had a problem once… even during UFC PPVs when it’s packed. The beer list is nice and has something for everyone. I’m glad they offer other types of beer and NOT just IPAs. I believe this place is one of the few places left in the city that doesn’t flood their beer list with IPAs bc it’s the hipster thing to do in this city. I don’t get some of these idiots on Unilocal. For example, the review by Pierre W makes absolutely no sense. How can you praise an establishment for their food and atmosphere and only give it 3 stars without an explanation? I must say the reply by the owner Lee to the reviewer Serene B. Is awesome! FINALLY, an owner willing to stand up and call out some of these entitled hipsters looking for a «free meal/handout» bc they give poor reviews when it was their fault.

Overall: Great alternative pizza place that has plenty of other options too. The good: Great food(but not great for you!). The thin crust pizza was crispy and delicious. The calzones are tasty and the size of your head. The drink list if extensive. The service was friendly and helpful and usually on point. Fun atmosphere and clean. The bad: The adult shakes are a little expensive. The service for getting our check was slow. Atmosphere: 8⁄10 Service: 8⁄10 Food: 8.5÷10

After an awesome first visit, I couldn’t wait to come back and was thrilled when Groupon offered a deal here. We walk in and immediately are confused because we see open tables… but no sign stating whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated so we awkwardly stand there until someone tells us we could seat ourselves. Nice server but we could tell they are seriously understaffed as it took 20 minutes for me to get my milkshake and a long time for everything in general. Ok, no biggie, we are pretty patient people. A little disappointed by the fact that my burger wasn’t as good as last time, but again, you can’t win them all. So now it’s check time and come to find out they don’t accept our Groupon. Granted the Groupon did list dates the deal was not valid and it also said on Pay Per View nights but… how are you to know what is a PPV night? Paquiao and Mayweather fights, I know when those are… the whole COUNTRY knows when those are. UFC though? Not so much. Especially as I am not a wrestling fan and was only coming for the food and because they got good reviews and I wanted to try more of their menu items. I questioned where it was written and the server very defensively stated, «Its posted!» She then sends the«manager» over who explains that they«offered the deal last year before they knew the schedule for 2016» and«it’s too difficult to process Groupons on Pay Per View nights because it’s busy and the Groupons sometimes don’t go through.» I pointed out that 1) we seemed to be the only ones who attempted to redeem a Groupon and 2) pretty much nobody seemed to be watching the game(everyone on our side of the restaurant was totally glued to their phones, not looking up to even talk to their table mates, let alone watch the TVs). She reiterated that they«posted it» and pointed in the general direction of the front wall.(If they listed dates for 2015 and were unsure of how/when to list restrictions thereafter, why wouldn’t they just make the deal valid until 12÷31÷15 and then re-offer it again in 2016?) Upon leaving we checked out said wall and saw — at the eye level of a 6 year-old— a sign with their specials, and in super small print it mentioned that they were not accepting Groupons. Seriously I had to step a few feet away from the wall so I could get the picture of the«notice»…and zoom in so I could capture the small writing. In the interest of due diligence, the«notice» should have been posted at the entrance doors or at the very least, at eye level inside. So we had to pay full price for a meal we both didn’t like(my burger was super bland, hers was just blah), with ridiculously slow service and intolerable business policies… and I’m out even more money because I am stuck with a Groupon to a place to which I have absolutely no intention of returning.

Pleasantly surprised by Squared Circle! Although the restaurant has great reviews, most of them have to do with how it’s a great wrestling bar, but I was way more concerned about the food. So after we placed our orders(2 pizzas) I was a little skeptical as to how they’d turn out. As soon as the pizzas arrived at our table, I was excited to dig in. My boyfriend and I went with a a large«design your own» with pepperoni, mushroom, and jalapeño on their traditional crust and it was really delicious! A little bit thicker than New York style but same big, triangle slices. It was a huge pizza so managed to save some slices for the next day! Our other friends ordered the«hangover helper» with bacon and egg and it seemed like they really enjoyed it as well. Overall, great place for not only wrestling but good food! Would definitely go back.

I’m going to be honest, I didn’t have any of the food here. I mainly came here because I love wrestling and I have heard of the Squared Circle many times. I don’t know many places that respect wrestling in the way this place does, so it was definitely a stop for me. The TV’s are usually playing the latest PPV or Raw or Smackdown. There are a lot of neat things to look at, a lot of it from the post attitude era of wrestling. There’s a decent beer selection, so I just came in, had a few drinks, and soaked up the atmosphere. It was great.

OK, I went to the Squared Circle. The staff was VERY kind, and helpful. I had a burger, and I went in for the Lobster Calzone. It was good! I enjoyed the food! I wanna go back for the burger, and maybe some pizza. It was very relaxing. I really appreciated the fact that the wait staff maintained their service but allowed me to relax, and watch the wrestling on TV. I think I met the manager because he LOOKED like he’s taken a few people to the«Mat». Very kind. 1…2…3(.ding, ding…) I’m out!!!

A must go to place if you love wrestling came here on a Thursday night on my birthday while nobody was there it was still a sight to see. A lot of wrestling plaques around the walls and autographs it was awesome. And true wrestling fan would enjoy it. Order a few cocktails and they were pretty strong I might add. The bartender was even sweet enough to give me a s’mores dessert thing just cuz it was my birthday. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy a Monday night raw or smack down there

I don’t even eat as much during Thanksgiving dinner as I did at The Squared Circle. The cheese/bacon wontons were a decent start for what was about to come. The Slobberknocker pizza, while sounding like something your 9 yr old would dream of, is a pizza topped with mac and cheese, chicken nuggets and bbq sauce. I don’t know what stoner thought of this but I want to shake their hand and buy them their next joint so they can think of more ingenious meals like this. Ordered the Chicken and Waffles sandwich and while I’d usually be against someone using frozen Eggo’s for the waffle bun, I didn’t mind! The chicken was the same popcorn like chicken used on the pizza and it was topped with a sturdy amount of bacon. Also, the fries were cooked just right: similar to fair fries just slightly more cooked. Finally, despite my bursting stomach, we got the s’mores wontons. These are not to be skipped. I could have easily eaten an entire plate of these on my own even after the full sandwich, 2 slices of pizza, cheesy wontons and fries. Wait, did I really eat all that? Yes, I did. Because The Squared Circle is not somewhere where you go to eat and eat like a rabbit.

I have been to the Squared Circle a few times — all very different experiences. My first trip was for a PPV last January and the place was so packed I stood the entire time and just ate their delicious Pizza Wontons. The second time I went on a random night and had their Meatball Sub. Nothing too special but it is always nice when owner/ex-owner/notreallysure Lisa Marie(WWE’s Victoria) stops by during your meal to chat. This time was my most traditional time — a group of friends, plenty of beer, and some wrestling in the background. Like my first time at the restaurant, started with the Pizza Wontons. So freaking good. You can easily just eat this and call it a day. Basically, its a fried wonton with cheese and pepperoni stuffed inside and dipping marinara at your disposal. Great stuff. For my meal, I wanted to try their pizza so I went with a personal(«Small») Slobberknocker — mac and cheese, chicken fingers, and hot BBQ sauce topped pizza. The toppings varied in pleasure for me. Surprisingly the chicken fingers were on point. Surprisingly the BBQ sauce was a bit lacking. I really like the JR’s Chipotle Ketchup you can request but JR’s Hot BBQ sauce is nowhere as good. The mac and cheese was fine but nothing out of the world. For a small, it;s still massive to finish. In addition to the pizza, it was $ 3.50 Mystery Beer night. For the Mystery Beer, you got to spin the wheel(and make a deal) and the number you land on determines your beer. Sadly, I got a Presidente and a Bud Light — both $ 3.50 beers. I know that they have better options on the wheel but my two spins were lackluster. Service was good which it has been all three times I have been there. Not the fastest for food but the waitress kept stopping by for drink orders and to chat. Definitely will be back to try a burger and maybe a Twinkie calzone. Why not?

I am one of «those» guys– those guys that think food challenges are easy and thinks Adam Richman has the easiest job in the world. Get paid to eat. But The Squared Circle made me eat my words– and also 4 nine-ounce burgers because I attempted to conquer«The Four Horsemen Challenge»(«4 nine ounce burgers, 8 strips of bacon, 4 kinds of cheese and the sauce of your choice served on a pretzel bun with a bunch of fries. Clean your plate in 40 minutes or less and you’ll receive a $ 25 gift certificate, a TSC t-shirt, and infamy on the 2400 block of north ashland. One person. No help. No bathroom visits»). It was my first food challenge and it was not easy. I almost died– not literally. Getting through the burgers was a walk in the park. You hit the wall when you get to the fries. It’s just a massive spread of fries. You’ll know when it’s over when the fries start tasting like cardboard. I obviously did not come here to enjoy the burgers or the atmosphere. I would rate the service pretty high up there along with the friendliness of the staff. The burgers that I ate were also tasty– I just wished I could’ve enjoyed it more instead of shoveling them into my mouth. I would come back to try their other signature burgers.
