This is not a place to go to if you are looking for at all an edible piece of pizza. You are much better off going to CVS or Walgreens for a frozen pizza. There is little to no sauce, the cheese is not melted, and the crust has a consistency of that of cardboard.

Pizza is like cardboard… And they ran outta crushed pepper. Or simply refused to give me any(upon request). Either way, that’s akin to Starbucks running out of… cream. What kind of pizza biz doesn’t have crushed pepper?

Overall: Drunk food and poloroid pics Food: Sausage pizza, slightly above frozen pizza level. I’d eat it again. — Just like this pizza place, my review will have no frills. I came here for late night pizza after clubbing. From the guy at the window, I ordered a sausage pizza. They took a poloroid picture of us. It was tasty.

I never ate a pizza I didn’t like… Until NOW! Save your $ 5 folks, there is hardly anything«special» about their $ 5 slice and pop deal. As a last resort I stopped by to grab a quick lunch. The server dude threw my slice into the oven for a whole 30 secs to heat it up. When I finally opened up the box and took a look at my slice, it was not appetizing and gone was the wonderful aroma of a freshly cooked pizza. BOOurns! I’ve had frozen pizzas that tasted better than this(and cheaper too!) Slice was definitely not NY slice size, crust was bland, sauce reminded me of store brand. I am a self proclaimed pizza connoisseur and can seriously eat it 24/7…but this, not so much. Meh.

I went to the pizza window after work tonight, I got one slice of cheese and sausage and a can of coke for $ 10.00. I walked home, it smelled good so I couldn’t wait to dive in and eat it! Sadly, when I opened the box, it did not look appetizing but I was pretty hungry so I ate the cheese slice and tasted like frozen pizza, looked like frozen pizza, I could taste the tomato paste, yech and basically, it was not fresh. I don’t recommend trying it. I was disappointed because I have been waiting to try this place, their is a reason this place is open into the wee hours, when your drunk, all food tastes good.

If you’re drunk and desperate, that should be the only reason to eat this garbage. To preface, I do not enjoy Chicago style, so this is not a negative review due to its NY style. Even if you are impartial, you would agree that their product is well below sub par. First off, their sauce looks, smells and has the same texture of cheap store bought canned sauce. Secondly, I have had plenty of half baked type pizzas that were decent where they put it back in the oven to finish it off, but this place did not execute. The pizza tasted and looked like an awful frozen pizza, which probably would have tasted better in the first place.

Walking down Clark street saw a window open that said pizza slice and pop $ 5 cool I thought I’ll order one. Hmm no one at the counter, I rang the bell no one came for several minutes. Terrible service, actually the worst I have ever experienced in Chicago. After waiting 15 minutes for a slice, I asked the bartender how much longer she said 2 minutes, it turned into 12. Finally get the slice, it was lukewarm, it reminded me like ALDI frozen pizza very bland, almost flavorless with garbage sausage that didn’t look or taste like sausage. Bottom line, go elsewhere or make a frozen pizza at home, it will taste better. Management, address the lack of customer service. If a sign says open till 3pm don’t shut down at 2:30. Also clean your bathroom(woman’s) for 2:30pm they were disgusting!

Very disappointing. Bland and too cold. The sauce was too sweet. There are better slices for $ 4.

Perfect place to go downtown after having a few drinks when you need something quick to eat. $ 4 gets you one slice of your choice of cheese, sausage or pepperoni. My friend and I had been catching up over drinks and stopped here on our way home. No line at the time, so we walked up each had a slice. We then went back to share another one because it hit the spot. They offer decent sized slices too! This is a great stop post-bars!

Really great drunk pizza place. They have cheese/pepperoni and sausage. The slices are bigger than your head and $ 4. Also they give you ranch on the side if you ask for it. Its so convenient and the line moves super quickly.

I am a little torn between three and four stars for this review. I hope to return soon and have a second encounter so I can know for sure which rating they truly deserve. I stopped in at about 1am after watching a movie downtown. There was a line and it was filled with drunk people who came from nearby bars. The line kind of mixed with the line to get into the bar next door on the corner which made space sparse and you run the risk of getting into the wrong line. Once I finally got to the window I ordered two slices, one pepperoni and one cheese. They came out pretty fast but not as fast as I would have expected. For a place that only sells cheese, pepperoni, and sausage slices they should be slinging them out fast to keep the line moving but for some reason it took them extra time for each order. The slices are a pretty good size and are served to you on regular cheap white paper plates. When I took my first bite the first thing I noticed was that the slices are pretty darn thin. It was almost like eating a cracker, a tasty and cheesy cracker, but a cracker none the less. The sauce and cheese were both good. It was a big greasy but the ingredients tasted quality and fresh. At $ 4 a slice I think it’s overpriced, but at the same time that can easily be considered cheap for river north.

Please note this is a Drunken Munchie Pizza Review. All I can say is that this pizza was on point, given my current condition. After spending a pretty good night out on Hubbard, we finally got to Boss Bar, and i noticed this little window with a stainless steel pizza oven. I had to try it. Just as everyone else has mentioned, it is a pizza window, cook time was about 5 minutes and they have a Slice and pop combo. While sitting on the corner of Clark and Hubbard, people on passing by continually asked me where that pizza came from. And I kept pointing at the window. So it’s safe to say the pizza was also aesthetically pleasing. I went back to the Boss Bar and after a while, all i could think of was how good another slice of pizza would be versus swimming through drunkard crowds. I step out, and the line was like 30 deep. Ridiculous! Luckily a friend of mine was almost up front, so i got another pepperoni pizza. It is definitely my go to, when i’m out in the River North area. Service: 10⁄10 Quality: 10⁄10 To Try Next Time: Dip Sticks, Sausage Pizza

To clarify… I went to the Pizza Window after a very long day. I had not had anything to eat in almost 10 hours due to all the traveling, so I was famished. Literally, famished. I wanted a quick bite and Pizza Window totally sufficed! For $ 6 I got a thin crust cheese pizza with a can of Sprite. It was quick, it was easy, and it was definitely what I needed at the time. Would it taste good if I hadn’t had all those circumstances? Probably not. So if you are in a bind and need a quick bite, you’ve found your window.

This was truly a harsh candid camera joke: a pizza with the sweet ketchup paste sauce with bland breakfast sausage lump on a burnt holy wafer of a crust. I’d like to say that this flavor and texture blackhole would taste better if I were intoxicated, but I’m pretty sure it’d just initiate projectile vomiting. Maybe this pizza is designed for that of undeveloped toddler’s tastebuds. $ 1 frozen Totino’s for $ 4. You’re much better off getting a slice from 7-Eleven, or just go hungry, seriously.

Walked my dog AND picked up a slice of pizza, killed 2 birds with one stone. The guy working the window asked if I wanted the pizza in a box or a paper plate. Since I was walking back I opted for the box. Felt the pizza sliding around the box but didn’t think anything about it. Finally saw the slice when I got home and was extremely underwhelmed. Pizza seemed more of a cracker crust and sauce, in my opinion, was flavorless. In sure if I was drunk and out late the pizza would taste delicious. However as a sober individual who wants pizza, I would much rather go to one of the many pizzerias in a 4 block radius.

Aptly named, it’s a window, through which you can get pizza! It’s definitely fast, and seriously cheap(especially for River North) — but is it good? Surprisingly, yes! It’s an unusual, but a sweet robust sauce that makes this slice worth having. Definitely not your standard greasy New York fare. I haven’t found much of this style in Chicago, worth a try!

Some of the best pizza I’ve had in the city! I know Chicago’s all about the deep dish but sometimes(like if you’re pretending to be watching your carbs, or just because you prefer it) you want a good slice of thin crust pizza. The Pizza Window hit the spot. Most of the time I’m disappointed by thin crust because pizza joints either get it too crispy(aka burnt to a crisp) or it’s not crispy enough then it just makes a mess. Not here. Perfection! Great amount of cheese and pepperoni, not too greasy, supreme level of deliciousness. Only downfall: You can’t GrubHub it Maybe someday???
