The Hut

I travel often and have lived all over the country but my home is Brighton. The Hut is a family tradition so every time I come home I visit The Hut ! Everything on the menu is good, the staff are efficient and friendly. There is no need to place an order if you’re a regular customer because Chris and Lou already know what you want. I think my favorite is the Italian Beef. Always moist, flavorful and filling !

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the hut. I’ve been going there since I was a little girl and the food has always been great. I usually order hotdogs and gyros. Everything is always fresh. Staff is always friendly and quick.

Great place for lunch, they have it all hot and fresh. Hot soup great fries, better side of your typical hot dog stand. Go with the daily specials, if you get a beef from here. Go with dipped, sweet and hot with raw onion. You will not be disappointed.

Cash only please… I have been coming to this place for a while and although the food is good I feel like the service and prices are not as great as they used to. The lady at the counter charged me for 2 gyros when I only had one. She was rushing to charge me even though there wasnt many people there waiting and I feel like thats why she messed up. Be careful and make sure you kind of know how much your food should be so this doesn’t happen to you.
This is the usual burger, hot dog, and gyro joint which there are plenty of in the area. None of their stools/​tables have changed since the 90’s when it was Donalds so they should consider revamping the place too. Might try something else in the area next time for sure.

Good food for a decent price! I love their pizza puffs and fries. The only drawback is that they only take cash. No debit cards, but their prices are pretty low. The other day we ordered lunch from there and my total came to a little less than 15 dollar and my brother, myself and my 4 year old all ate! I’ve been coming ever since i was a kid and i still recognize most of the same faces.

Good food and the service is fast. The fries are some of the best i’ve had! The food is also affordable, 2 hot dogs with 2 fries is 4.50. I noticed that they cook fresh chicken breasts for their chicken selections; that’s a plus.

Great food and fast service! Try everything oh and their chicken sandwich is awesome my wife always gets that and I go for the gyro lol but I have tried everything and everything is good.

Sorry, but definitely there is better out there.
It does get a bit busy during lunch hours, but they are pretty quick.
The lady was nice.
My guy said his friend raved about the chili here. So, we got a few chili dogs to try and I thought the chili was pretty bland. The fries were pretty good though.
However, the other day I decided to try the gyro plate and I gotta say this was the worst gyro I’ve tasted. It also only comes with one pita which is not enough, but the gyro meat is so salty and grainy. It was also sitting in a pool of grease… yuck! Also, the fries were different and wasn’t as good.

I’ve been coming here since they were called Donald’s back in the 90s. Great lunch/​dinner hot dog stand. Your standard Chicago style hot dogs, Polishes, Gyros, burgers, skinny fries, etc.
They frame grill their burgers which I think it’s pretty unique. Great food and a great price!

Well here I go, standard Chicago fare, which means good for your taste buds, bad for your arteries, hotdog and fries (skinny fries) good, Gyros good. Thats all I have had so far, but it is a standard chicago lunch stand so a menu like that. Hotdog and fries is $ 2 with tax… yay!
