Stopped in for an hour to get some work done and was pleasantly surprised with the corner coffee shop. The baristas were hip and the menu of coffees and pastries was expansive. The space was quiet and well-lit with natural light. Ultra clean with an outlet near every table. I enjoyed drinking my $ 3.95 cappuccino out of a porcelain mug with a saucer and biscuit to boot. Bonus for having outdoor work space too. Hat tip for having restrooms designated for«humans» and«humans with babies.» Will definitely return!

Great coffee and place to hang out. A little pricier than similar coffee shops. Not saying it’s a bad thing, but you need to get 1-hour wifi codes from the barista.

Their Dolce Iced Coffee was amazing! No bitter aftertaste. Sweet and chilled. Got the smallest size, black, and wanted more afterward. Not the most spacious seating. But there is outdoor seating.

I find this place to be really cozy. The atmosphere is nice and the music isn’t overly loud. Great for studying. Only reason I can’t give it five is my silly reason that I don’t like coffee but love coffeehouses and this place only had a few none coffee choices. Also only 1hr free wifi.

This place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside! Plenty of tables and areas to sit. I ordered the dolce ice coffee and my husband ordered an iced mocha. I didn’t love my coffee but didn’t hate it either. I think I’ll order something else next time. I am interested to try to coffee and tea inspired cocktails as well as the ice cream and Popsicles. This would be a great place to get some work done if you wanna get out of the office for a bit.

I want to start off this review by saying Coffee Studio serves FANTASTIC Intelligentsia coffee, as good if not better than the Intelligentsia shops. They also sell Intelligentsia coffee cheaper than Intelligentsia does. And thus, the shop gets an extra star. The other three stars come off for an incident that occurred a while back. I used to come in to order their(once again mind-blowingly good) cold brewed iced coffee. Now unlike many coffee shops in Chicago, Coffee Studio charges for simple syrup of which I like a single tablespoon(no more no less) put in my iced coffee just to soften the drink a bit, raw sugar doesn’t work it just rattles around in the bottom of the cup to be sucked up in my straw. Coffee Studio charges a quarter for the syrup, which is fine, I don’t mind paying the quarter but I often forget by the time I grab my drink, and instead of insisting I pay for the syrup the barista begrudgingly puts my tablespoon in. Hey if you guys want to run my card for a quarter I really don’t mind, but I don’t carry shrapnel in my pocket as a rule and if I did have any change in my pocket it would automatically go into the tip jar. Ok, so I realize that over the course of the 20 times I went to get iced coffee that season, I would forget to ask for simple syrup at the time of payment about half the time. Now the last this happened, the barista in charge confronted me on it at a volume loud enough that every patron in the establishment would hear over the music and the murmur. He at one point used the«f» word, accused me of ripping of the company, and then brought up an unrelated conversation I had with a customer in which I espoused some(admittedly) strange beliefs I had about literature. I stood kind of shocked, and then asked them to charge me $ 10.00 to cover the cost of past and future syrup(I realize this is probably an unreasonable request, but it was the best I had). After about a minute of this exchange in which every patron was staring at the two of us the owner’s(Le) husband(Don’t know his name, ruggedly handsome tall guy with a beard) stands up and albeit much more patiently, looks at me and explains that the expense of condiments are high and people like to take advantage by making a dirty latte with simple syrup and a bunch of half and half. He didn’t admonish the barista or even ask him to lower his tone. I was made to be 100% wrong in this situation which perhaps I was, but un-apologetically screaming at me without any real resolution, well it is what it is. I get it, you guys are posh and sophisticated and snooty and better than your customers. Cool, well I’m just letting the world know.

Easily my favorite place in chicago. Came here to kill an hour while waiting to get into The nutella hot chocolate and the cold brew coffee were some of the best i’ve had in a while. They offer a lot of options and some good to go with knowledgeable, friendly staff. I guess I got lucky in that my phone was almost dead so I didn’t have to struggle with the wifi. Like some pointed out, you seem to pick up xfinity’s free connection, so I’d recommend talking to someone who has that and getting their login for it. Otherwise the one hour limit is kind of petty, they should absolutely drop that. Otherwise great coffee and great service.

Love this place! Best nutella hot chocolate ever! My friends and I sit here for hours during finals week. The ambience, location, and quality of service makes this place AWESOME. On one occasion, I had accidentally left my iPhone here. Upon calling Coffee Studio, the barista was so sweet and looked for my phone and kept it safe till I went back and picked it up. This my go-to coffee shop! LOVEIT!

We really like this place a lot. Friendly, efficient staff. Clean and warm, inviting and comfortable environment with lots of wood and natural light. Chicago’s own supremely delicious Intelligentsia coffee and espresso drinks. Excellent quality, fresh baked goods and interesting packaged treats from the world over. A couple blocks south of Gethsemane. Easily accessed. If we lived nearer this would be our only coffee house. ~Peter O. and S.

This place was awesome! Great environment and drinks. It’s a place I would like to visit again. The employees were really nice and helpful in helping me and my friend decide what drinks would be our best. They have plenty of table space if you’ll like to work. It is a bit quieter than Starbucks so me and my friend were talking low to not disturb others. I wouldn’t encourage small groups to come if they want to meet or have a conversation. At least that was my experience.

I come here every week with my son beige school. It’s much different now, or at least the morning crew is different. We have a great experience and the staff are very patient and let my 6 yr old place his order. The patience an stage smiles are appreciated. Thank you!

I really enjoy The Coffee Studio. Good coffee and always a fantastic playlist in the background. The wifi is hourly, but you can also access xfinity wifi from many parts of the coffee shop. They also seem to be pretty liberal about giving out the wifi slips. Why not 5 stars? First, there’s a terrible draft from the door. It gets cold. Second, I would say the vast majority of the staff is lovely and professional, but one makes really pretentious, loud comments(«you know, like women who wear yoga pants and watch sitcom television shows»). Some people might find that charming, but it ruins the warm vibe that everyone else creates.

I was in the area and needed to get some work done so I made a pit stop to the Coffee Studio. I almost took my coffee to go since the place was PACKED on a Saturday morning. My first impression was that it has such a cozy environment and the seats are really comfy! I also appreciate that I’m not freezing my butt off like at most other coffee shops. The price of the drinks are a tad steep…$ 4 for a teeny cappuccino I could down in 5 seconds. However, both the coffee and the tea are on point.

I wasn’t impressed with my visit to the Coffee Studio and the only thing going for them is the décor and cute ambiance. I stopped by for my second cup of coffee for the day and ordered an iced dolce coffee with soy. The iced dolce coffee was described as their cold brewed coffee with a little of their house made sweetener. Service also wasn’t anything to brag about, the cashier wasn’t very friendly and he messed up the order. I ordered mine with soy milk but I don’t think the guy was listening and when I got my drink it was black coffee. The drink itself wasn’t anything special, it barely had any flavor or sweetener and basically tasted as bad as the crappy cold brew I attempted to make at home before. I should have stuck to a latte and probably would have had a better experience so it was partially on me for going rogue.

5 stars for for a cute, comfy environment with brick walls, comfy chairs and cute décor. 4 stars for overpriced iced tea on a menu board with too-small font. 3 stars for only getting an hour on the code-protected, moderate-speed wifi.

I was about to give The Coffee Studio 3 stars, but after seeing that Unilocal suggested that 3 stars is equivalent to «A-OK» I just couldn’t. It wouldn’t be fair to the world. I love trying new cafes, and I’ve heard a few good things about The Coffee Studio so I thought I’d check it out. When I got there, I was pretty impressed with the atmosphere and thought it would be a nice place to sit and study for a while. I order my coffee, got some food, had myself a seat and hopped on my computer… Oh wait, I forgot a step… I also had to get a wifi code with my purchase which allowed me 1 hour of internet… I’m sorry, but this just isn’t reasonable considering the price I pay for coffee and food at The Coffee Studio. I understand the logic that the internet should only be for paying customers, but I can find plenty of other cafes that don’t suggest that I get the F out after an hour. I won’t be returning

Wonderful coffee shop in Andersonville. I’m here almost every weekend. The staff is so friendly and they have a great selection of drinks. I typically stick to just black coffee and the occasional latte, but they have a lot of interesting types of drinks on their menu. They also have some yummy looking treats that I’ve never had enough time to sample(vegan options too!) They have a lot of seating, but it’s typically pretty crowded. They also have free wi-fi.

I’m always up for a cup of great red eye coffee, anytime of the day. I was waiting for my hubby to finish up his service call nearby and found this place while Unilocaling on the bus. Got off at Mryn Bawr and Clark and walked diagonally across the street, there you were! I finally was about to get my afternoon coffee fix. I saw red eye coffee on the menu. Great! Even though it was a bit pricy(medium size for $ 3.85 as of 02/03/2015), it was more than a decent cup of bold black coffee. I know it’s a close call, but I still prefer the red eye from Baker&Nosh in Uptown. If you’re planning on staying and using the wifi, be sure to ask for a free wifi code upon ordering. You will receive a 60-minute free wifi. Overall, it’s great neighborhood coffee shop. I was able to surf the web and had a quality cup of red eye. The service was slower because there was one Barista on duty. I didn’t mind since I wasn’t in a hurry.
