Temptations

I randomly walked in to kill time time waiting for my girlfriend… I ended up buying two stainless steel brackets and some earnings … very friendly staff and very helpful !
I shall return !!!

I’ve always loved Temptations and have been going here for about 10 years. I feel like it’s grown up over the years. It used to be more head shop like with candles, inscents and oils. Now it’s more like a Lincoln Park boutique. They have jewelry, clothes and accessories. Kay has been the manager ever since I can remember and she is absolutely delightful. Anytime I’m near the area, I stop in just to say hi and brighten my day.

I love Temptations. I’ve been going for YEARS. They have a very nice selection of rings for all types of piercings. Katy, is a sweetheart.

I got my nose pierced when I was 19. I went to the Alley and several other stores looking for a teeny tiny nose ring, but could never find one small enough. My sister & I stumbled across Temptations back in the day and have been going ever since. They have the widest variety of teeny tiny nose rings I’ve ever seen.
Yesterday I met Kay, the manager who was so kind and helpful, she even threw in a couple of nose rings for free. I will not buy nose rings any place else!

After I work out at the Bally’s upstairs I always go to this store to buy some kind of cool nik nac or earings because i am missing one. I love the moon earings here!
Also there is a cool sales lady there by the name of Kay and she is always friendly and more than willing to help you out! Love her! Love this store!

I have been a customer of Temptations for over 5 years. I can’t believe its been that long. I really enjoy the customer service I get from this place, especially with the owner and the previous manager, Mike. This is the only place to sell pin-​sized/​freckle nose piercings that are sterling silver. I love it! I also just found out that they are now selling 20+ gauge nose hoops in varying sizes.
I will be a life-​long customer, for sure.

It’s like a gallimaufry of novelty items. If you were alive in the 1980’s to mid 1990’s and went to malls, you’ve been to a store like this one. It’s that store you can’t put your finger on since it’s got all kinds of shit, oh wait… it’s a gift shop. It’s a crazy gift shop. No clear direction on why, just a big crazy assortment of items. Rings, ear rings, rings for your miscellaneous piercings (body jewelry), bowls. not cereal bowls, that glass thingamajig you use to smoke herb. There was this one that looked like a cock and balls. You stuff the balls and then smoke the head. I think it looks like a cock and balls, maybe you’ll see it as something else. What else? Booze flasks with icons, the little stuffed animals everyone used to collect years ago. beanie babies? Strange bars of soap with goofy characters etched onto them, umpteen varieties of bracelets, silver jewelry, wooden sculptures and so much more. The lady at the counter; tremendously sweet and starved for business and attention. The store is located next to the hallway leading to the second floor parking garage so most people just blaze passed. The sign on the store doesn’t burn any longer or maybe they forget to turn it on, whichever the case just makes you wonder if the owner cares? If you like silver rings, they have a few detailed pieces which may catch your interest. I didn’t take a closer look so not sure if it’s real or not. (Remember to look for a stamp on the inside of silver jewelry) If on the hunt for a unique gift which requires no thought… your prayers can be answered at Temptations.

Strange place, I actually mistook Temptations for the old Gamer’s Paradise that looks to have folded. Incense and candles and all sorts of facial piercing jewelry pieces are in this store. I was trying to find a gift for my nephew but they only had Beanie Babies, so I did not find what I was looking for in that regard. I did spot two big ornamental fans on a shelf and the lady working there took them down for me to see and offered me a discount since one of them had a crack in the base holding them.
While moving them around the base of the other one cracked some more so she ended up giving me the other fan on top of the fan I bought. They spent lots of time wrapping up my stuff to make sure it wouldn’t get wrecked and gave me a giant box and bag and made sure the bag had a good handle. Good customer service but probably needs more inventory. If you like jewelry, incense or candles check it out.
