Went again and much better and now they take credit cards. I ordered steak taco dinner. Will come again. Not many Mexican spots in the area so I am glad for the improvements.

My favorite taco joint!!! This place has fantastic guac, terrific turkey tacos and delicious chicken and tilapia tacos with a special sauce! I come here at least twice a month and they are always friendly and fast!!! #highlyfavored

If you want good quality, traditional Mexican fast food in Beverly, this is the place. No frills, exactly what you’d expect and want for Mexican take-out. Thank goodness they are there and seem to always be open so I can get my steak taco fix!

Can’t beat the authentic Mexican food for the price. No ambience inside, nothing special about the service — but for a quick counter lunch or takeout, it hits the spot. Tacos are ultra-flavorful — not too greasy and plenty of options(chile relleno tacos, lengua, etc in addition to the more typical chicken, barbacoa, al pastor). Love that they offer housemade horchata. Delicious guacamole & salsa(just wish they offered a slightly hotter version). I have family in the neighborhood and go here every time I visit.

Insanely good tacos! We love grabbing a few steak or chicken tacos. They’re done to perfection very simply with onions and cilantro. They’re salsa is delicious and the fajitas are quite good, as well. This is also the ONLY healthy restaurant I have found with a drive through. So great when you’re out running around and want to hit a drive through and eat actual food. I think they have seating and possible indoor seating but I’ve only ever used the drive through. Love this place!!!

The staff is unenthusiastic about being there, but the tacos are pretty damn good. Decent quality on all of the chicken, pastor, and steak tacos. I was impressed that the large rice was basically a bucket. I hate when places skimp on rice, it is so cheap! If this place was open late they would be a goldmine, especially with the convenient drive-thru.

My thoughts: –Convenient. A small Mexican restaurant with a parking lot to park 8 or so cars with a drive thru as well. –Was greeted by the lady. No smile or nothing but I don’t care. –I ordered 3 steak tacos and a horchata. Total was just under 9 dollars. –Food came out in less than 5 minutes(I hate when restaurants do that, I lose trust in my food, but let’s see.) –Look down at my plate. In my head, «That’s it? That’s all I get?’ –Well at least it tastes good and food didn’t feel undercooked. My final thoughts: While the food tasted good and my food was prepared quickly, I left the restaurant with the same feeling I walked in with, hungry. #Shame

Hole in the wall place for sure, but I love the chicken quesadillas. Can’t really speak for a lot of the other dishes, but at least they marinate the chicken, so I’m sure the tacos are good too.

F this place… seriously.
I’m allergic to flour. Which takes out most canned beans which contain it. I specifically asked the clerk is the beans were canned or not. She lied and said they were made there. Complete BS, they gave me an allergic reaction. The cashier lady can suck a fart out of my butt. Screw her. She lied to protect some«taco stand rep» on having homemade beans or something? Wth is that? It cost me lady, muchos gracias. Avoid this place… even with their decent tacos. There’s better tacos close by, their bigger too for better value. And at least they told me the beans were canned. Freaking lady… eat me!

The food here is made right in front of you, which I like. I love there Chicharron Tacos. Its one of the few mexican restaurants I go to where you can get them. I just wish their tacos came with cheese and wasn’t extra. You have to spend a minimum of $ 5 to use a credit card when most places are $ 10. The only reason I’m giving them 3 stars is because I don’t understand how the bilingual cashier, who I think was new, confused the word Chicharrón(chee-cha-ROAN) with chicken(chi-ken). I only go hear when I have a taste for chicharrón tacos and I hate chicken tacos. Yet when I got home thats what I had, chicken tacos. Pronounced(Chi-ken) Two syllables not three, nor is there a rolling of the tongue to pronounce the double R’s in Chicharrón. Next time I’m going to say pork skin.

My pops took me here on my last birthday. He had a fairly involved conversation with the manager working the register as the cooks put together our enchiladas and tacos. I’m sure they get a lot of their business from boozehounds on Irish death marches down Western, but it’s cool that they get to know neighborhood regulars. The food was delish, pretty much as good as you can expect to get without going to Pilsen or Blue Island. The guac tasted fresh even late on Wednesday night. I’ve seen a few restaurants fold at this location over the years. I think it’s great that something finally worked, and Beverly finally got a respectable Mexican take-out joint. They’ve got some more exotic ingredients like tongue, plus tilapia tacos with those purple pickled onions, just like XOCO. Unfortunately they’ve had to take some of the deeper cuts such as pozole off the menu, but they’re still making a solid effort to go beyond the perennial favorites.

I have been here both on Parade Day and also a couple times on the weekends. Let’s just say there’s nothing like drinking that makes you crave yummy beef tacos. The tacos were very good and packed with taco goodness. What I like is the fact that their tacos are not completely overflowing and messy where then it looks like you were having an orgy of taco ingredients on your shirt. I would say, they are probably the best in the area. The tacos always do their job by settling those post pub time hunger pains. FYI: Bring cash, no credit cards allowed.

Came here for a snack during the South Side Irish Parade… chicken tacos were delicious! Perfect amount of filling and not greasy at all. Everyone went crazy for the fresh guacamole, too — the base was very creamy but you still got a few chunks of avocado with every scoop. Too bad I don’t live nearby… this place is great!
