The washing machine area in the back is not related to the dry cleaning in the front nor is owned by the same person. The Asian lady that runs the dry cleaners in the front has been sincere to me every time I need to drop off laundry. She treats her regulars with kindness and makes sure you get your clothes on the day you need them. She handles the store by herself and it is simply amazing how she is still in business. People around the area know her and she has gone through a lot. The area itself has been tough on her and if she seems a little rude is because of the history of being robbed, beaten, and gun/​knife pointed at her. Everyone in the neighborhood adores her and frankly, she gets the job done. I have been a customer for over 10 years and will continue to be.

This place is lucky Unilocal allows one star. I took in my absolute favorite vintage dress coat in for a simple dry cleaning. It had a couple of small mold spots on the bottom that should have been easy to get out.
Well, they got the mold out… but their chemicals burned huge holes through the coat! I mean HUGE!!! Mold spots that were smaller than a dime are now holes the size of quarters.
They also charged $ 15 for it to be cleaned. When I complained they told me that the coat came in that way.
I will never return to this place even though it is closest to my house.
Overpriced and they have no idea what they are doing. They destroyed my favorite coat.
DONT DO IT!

I hate doing laundry, but after three weeks of avoiding it, the stench is just unavoidable! :)
Our favorite little laundry place is nothing to look at. The front houses a dry cleaning/​alteration section and the back part of the building is the washing and drying madness! The really cool thing about this particular laundry mat is the fact that the drying is FREE. That’s right people, FREE! The washing cycle seems to be decently priced as well. The people who tend the ‘mat’ are nice and will remember you. You can eat candy/​chips/​junk and drink sodas while your stuff is going. I usually bring my dog along since Humboldt Park is right there and we have a great time while the laundry is getting done. Great fun!
