Subway

Hands down the best Subway I’ve ever been to. Probably has something to do with eating there several times a week, but still. Everyone is so friendly, including the owner. They know exactly how I like my sandwiches. Always a smile and some great conversation!

We came here because one of our bro friends didn’t bring their ID so we couldn’t get into Beaumont’s. We decided to sober up and grab a bite to eat. Subway never sounds to appetizing but at $ 2.11 for a 6 inch meatball sub I can’t complain. It hit the spot and the staff was friendly even though we were slightly rowdy considering the circumstances.

I live super close to the Subway and have always had a bad experience with unfriendly service. They have charged me for a footlong, instead of my 6 in, and when I pointed it out, dude says ‘I don’t know who to cancel it out”. Giving the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he was also hungover, I came back on another occasion. I ordered a veggie sammich as I don’t eat dead animals, and they kept neglecting my order and paying attention to the homies behind me instead. When I finally paid and headed out the door, on my way to work, I realized i was given the completely wrong sandwich, one with multiple types of meat. I couldn’t even give it away for free to the homeless fellow asking for change off my highway exit. Needless to say, next time I am going to Jimmy John’s, where the subs are so fast you freak.

Fast food chain like this, I don’t care so much about the service, as long as it is clean. That being said, when I was there this morning, I saw a HUGE fly hovering over the food! It first landed on the cheese, then the lettuce, the pepper… Ugh, GROSS! And the staff OBVIOUSLY noticed the fly and he did not do ANYTHING to get rid of it! (He saw the fly and looked away. Seriously??) I will never step into that Subway in the future because I am not going to share my food with some disgusting insects.
If there is one fly out there at the counter, I wonder how many flies and other gross things they have back in the kitchen. :(

I’ve been to this Subway a few times now. The first couple of trips were not memorable, but the one last week was.
Now, this is no big deal at all, but it’s still rude. My husband and I walked in knowing what we wanted. The «sandwich artist» (as the company likes to call them) was on his cell phone and we had to wait for him to pay attention to us. He didn’t end his call right away. I told him I wanted a 6 inch oven roasted chicken breast on wheat. What he brought out was the honey oat. He started to slice it, and it was then I noticed he’d brought the wrong bread and I had to correct him.
I didn’t realize how similar «wheat» and «honey oat» sounded, but they’re apparently the same thing. He *still* didn’t get off of his phone at that point. I started telling him my order and then he finally got off his phone. The sandwiches we ordered were fine, but when I walk into your store to order something, put down the phone for pete’s sake, and pay attention to the customer.
Suffice to say, this is not the first subway where I’ve had this problem, and it won’t be the last. Next time though, I’m going to tell you to get off your phone and pay attention to the person trying to place an order.
Oh, and before you ask: I never stay on my cell phone when I’m trying to interact with someone in person, it’s just rude. I will either call the person back, or if I’m just checking out the phone goes in my pocket (after I tell the person on the other end that I’m doing that).

I like the employees at this store – very nice and seem to work every single day I happen to come in, which makes me respect them even more.

The staff here are SO much better than the staff at the Willow/​Clybourn store.
Friendly, and seemingly very clean.

This is basically right across the street from my apartment AND I LOVE IT. I go to Subway probably once a week and get a foot long sub… I mean it’s $ 5 and it’s lunch AND dinner — SUPER cheap!
Have a good selection of drinks and chips and the people that work there are friendly — perhaps because they see me so often.
