I LOVE Studio D and especially Daniella. I’ve been going to Daniella for about 1 year now and she just did my hair for my wedding back in August. She does an amazing job at coloring my hair — I’ve gotten highlights and ombré. I appreciate that she will tell you if she thinks something isn’t going to look good, but will still do it if that’s what you want. She also knows a lot about beauty in general, I always leave there with amazing hair and a bunch of new products I need to buy!

Dejan rocks! After enduring years of mediocre haircuts at nearby chains, I decided it was time for a change. Dejan intuitively went with a style that works well with my oval-​ish face, and gives me the contemporary look I’ve been seeking for awhile.

I cannot even begin to explain how wonderful Salon D is. I was frantically messaging businesses this week around Schaumburg and the city. Thank goodness Salon D was the first to respond and able to get me in just a few days. I needed a highlight BAD (I was brave enough to post my before and afters). Daniela was so nice and knew exactly what I wanted/​needed without having to tell her much. She not only got me AMAZING color for my blonde highlights, but also curled my hair and it looked even better the next day! I always got my hair colored at Paul Mitchell school back home (which they always did a fantastic job) but I needed something in a pinch and I didn’t have hours upon hours to spend sitting in a chair. I will never go anywhere else to get my hair even trimmed. Professional, friendly, clean and so much less than what I thought I would end up paying for what I received. I highly recommend Salon D to anyone looking for great color, a cut, or even just a blowout. I am so impressed with my hair and I can’t wait to go back!

Daniela is THE BEST. I have never, I mean never understood what a great haircut was until her. I always thought all hair cuts were the same; then I came to this salon. I couldn’t understand why people had hairdresser loyalty until now!
She knew how to trim my hair when I had long hair and wanted to keep it long. I never had to worry about her cutting too much off.
Then when I decided to go bold & cut my hair short for the first-​time-​ever. She cut it exactly how I wanted!
Daniela makes great recommendations based on your face shape, skin tone, hair type, etc.
She also did an amazing job on my hair color. After I cut it short she did some balayage highlights which turned out perfect.
Everybody at the salon is very friendly & accommodating. They always offer you water, wine or coffee. Music is great. There is always parking on Ashland or the side street north of the building. Prices are great.
I’m so happy a friend recommended I come here! And now I refer ALL my friends too.

This place is excellent. I have had my last 3 – 4 cuts and colors done here by Daniela. She instinctively knows what I want and what will look good. She is also very personable, and there is free delicious coffee! Best of all this place is SO reasonably priced. I was paying more than twice as much at my old salon, apparently for the devastatingly cool ambiance rather than the service. So much happier to spend my money at a local small business with friendly owners.

I live in Wisconsin and had Denny cut my hair while I was down visiting my sister in Chicago. I have never had such an amazing cut — I LOVE IT! I got a cut, a highlight, and a blow out, and I feel amazing. I will make the 3.5 hour trip to have Denny do my hair every time I need it cut — it’s so worth it! Thank you!!!

I have been a loyal client of Denny’s for the last 5 years because he is simply AMAZING! Flawless cut and color every time! When I moved to Chicago 2 years ago, I had no idea where to begin to look for a hair salon. So, I started going to the Aveda Institute in Lakeview. My sister kept suggesting I pay a little more to see a «real stylist.» She has been seeing Denny (the owner) for years, so I decided to give him a try about a year ago. He is the only person I’ll see in Chicago now. He does an awesome job on any color or cut I ask for. He seems to know exactly what I want without me having to say it. I change my mind a lot and he’s always open to give me a new look. His timing is great (no sitting for hours), they use great products in the place is super cute inside. Would recommend to anyone, I always get great compliments :)

I got my hair colored Ombré Style at Studio D. Dejan’s employee — Daniela did an AWESOME job! I got so many compliments on my new hair. I was especially pleased since having colored my hair for the first time Daniela did such an amazing job. I will remember it for the rest of my life! After she colored my hair, she curled it and you were able to see all the shades mixed with my natural color.
I would recommend this studio to anyone and everyone! Worth every penny!

If you need a stylish and fresh cut or color, ask for Samantha. I’ve searched a long time for the perfect stylist and she is it. Sam is an excellent colorist and does great cuts too. She has a fantastic eye for color and style and a great attention to detail.
My last visit, she gave me a cute edgy bob cut with some cool ombré red highlights. I’m getting compliments non-​stop!

I bought a groupon for a Keratin treatment here. The place was small and quaint, which I prefer, and they were super nice. However, I’m disappointed in my treatment. I was told it would last 3 — 5 months and I maybe got 8 weeks from it. I honestly could have gone to my normal salon and paid full-​price ($ 90) for an 8 week treatment, but instead I paid $ 99 here (normally $ 300) to get something that did not last any longer. So I kind of feel like I was ripped off.

I only gave Studio D 5 stars, because I couldn’t give them 100. This place is the best. I have a really sensitve head, so shampooing usually hurts me. Not only was this pain– free, but the scalp massage was so incredible that it almost put me to sleep. My color looks amazing, the cut is perfect, and I could not have been happier with my experience.
There is definitely a reason why everyone has given this place 5 stars. Go now and treat yourself!

After a long search for a hair stylist in Chicago, I found Dejan — thanks to Unilocal!Whether you know exactly what you want or are looking for his suggestions, you will walk out of his salon looking fabulous. The first time I went to him, I walked in and said «Do whatever you want to my hair». After the highlights and haircut, my hair was looking healthy and beautiful as ever. Since, I’ve been going to Dejan, I receive so many compliments on my hair.
During my mom’s recent visit, she was really unhappy with her hair so I took her to Dejan. He did exactly what she’s been wanting that no other hair stylist has been able to achieve with her color. He gave her the exact color of blonde highlights she’s been wanting.
Dejan always knows how to give the right color for your skin tone. You won’t ever walk out of there with those brassy orange highlights or zebra stripes. He will always make sure your hair flatters you.
It’s nice to have a more personal salon to go to in Chicago. Dejan owns the salon now and pretty much runs the show. There’s no stuffy receptionist. Dejan’s super cool and laid back. You can enjoy a glass of wine and listen to good music.
Also, Daniela does a meaaannn blowout! And she did an up-​do for my friend’s wedding and it looked beautiful.

Three years ago when I moved to Chicago I was desperately looking for a hair stylist. Friend of mine recommended Dejan to me, and just after my first appointment I knew that my search was over.
I just love this guy, his work ethic, the way he treats me from the moment I walk in… He is always really responsive when it comes to scheduling appointments and above all, he does great work.
He recently opened his own salon and I have nothing else to say but to wish him all the best.

I moved to Chicago 2 years ago, prior to that I had my stylist in Connecticut for over 20 years. I had a high level of anxiety in finding a new stylist.
I was lucky enough to be referred to Denny Dimkovski, formally of Goran Corban Salon, now of the owner of Studio D. From my first visit, where I expressed my anxiety of a new stylist, Denny, took it all in stride. He is not only warm and friendly and makes his customers feel completely comfortable but an expertise of stylist. I knew from my first cut, that my search was over for a new stylist. I have now been a committed customer for over two years. When Denny left Goran Corban Salon, with out hesitation, I knew I was going where ever he was.
Every time I have a cut or a color, I feel and look fabulous. Denny is never rushed, he is precise in his work of hair design. He always takes the time to make sure, every detail involved making your hair looking beautiful is done to perfection.
His personality is warm, friendly and accommodating. You will find, not only once you become his client, you become his friend as well, he goes out of his way to make his clients happy, this speaks to the caliber of not only what a great stylist he is but a great person as well.

I swear Denny has two shadows, his own and mine. He’s only moved twice in the 4 years I’ve been here but both times I’ve moved with him. His latest move to Studio D means he’s actually owning is OWN salon which is something I know he’s talked about for quite some time so of course I was beyond thrilled when it happened for him.
I’m a loyalist and when I find something/​someone I love I stick with it. Denny does outstanding hair — both cuts and coloring. When I started going to Denny my hair was super short. I’ve since been growing it out and I’ve not had a complaint about a single cut or color he’s done for me. I use to worry so much about getting a cut and color but now I walk in and Denny does what he wants. I trust him THAT much.
He’s also super reasonably priced and will work with you if necessary. When I tell my friends what I pay for a cut and color they don’t believe me. It’s too bad too because they are missing out on a great guy. But oh well that just means for Denny time for me!

Who doesn’t love compliments on their hair… I do… and that’s why I keep coming back to Denny. And its not just everyone else… I love my hair too! Not to mention the relief of having a regular hair stylist who does great work. I’ve been coloring my hair as long as I can remember and have never felt quite this comfortable knowing I’ll leave looking fab. Studio D is his all his and is cute easy to find (once the sign is up). Oh, did I mention that he’s one of the most reasonably priced stylists in the city? Really!
