Today’s typical awful service: I ask for a ‘full’(everyone know what ‘full’ is?) cup of coffee and she gives it to me 2/3’s full. I remind her that I hadn’t ordered just a «cup» — but a «cup OFCOFFEE». She turns around back to the machine, adds maybe a drop or two more and then hands the thing back to me. If I didn’t have to go to work, I would have asked for a refund. Strange, I go into Starbucks in Dominick’s to buy coffee. They’re just too lazy to fill the cup. So what am I paying for? Atmosphere? The fact that I’m 20 feet away from the chilled ‘ready-to-eat’ ribs and turkey breasts?

They do not do Starbucks rewards here(so no birthday redeeming)! Are all Starbucks this expensive? I don’t know why this one feels so much more expensive than the others. The service was attentive, and my drink was okay. I am not very impressed, and I think I will stick to the Dunkin Donuts that’s right on the other side of the glass.

Come on, guys, all you who reviewed this place with one star or two: this is NOT a fancy Starbucks as the one on Rush St. or on Michigan Ave, this is not your cozy local sweet coffee place, but it’s still OK. The service is always fast and there are lots of tables to seat and study.

Terrible Starbucks — it is probably the worst I’ve ever been to. The baristas are slow and even when there is a line, they are often busy doing who knows what else in the back. I’ve waited for a drink for over seven minutes when there was no one else in line in front of me, which isn’t a long time, but for Starbucks, it is! I live two blocks from here, so it is hard to avoid going to this location if I’d like some coffee. They need to give those baristas some serious direction and/or fire under the ass. People are in a hurry!

This is the worst Starbucks that I have ever been to. To say the customer service is subpar would be quite a step up for this location. The service is slow, the drinks are so-so, and the staff is either off-putting or rude. Instead of a «hello», they cut straight to «what are you having.» You tell them your drink, they tell you the price, and the conversation typically ends there. No «thank you», no «have a nice day», no smile… nothing. To top it all off, there is almost always a long line that does not move very quickly… probably something to do with the snail-like pace of the staff. On a smaller note, they also don’t seem to offer as much of a pastry selection as all of the other Starbucks that I have been to. If you can avoid this location, do so. You shan’t regret it.

Agree with the other review about the line and slow service, but part of it is due to its location — right at DePaul and under the Red/Brown line stop. If you go at a less busy time, the line would be short, and a coffee would take less than 5 minutes to get. The good review is for their pastries. They sell some of the pastries for cheaper than other starbucks locations. The blueberry scone I usually get for breakfast is 1.95 here compared to 2.25 at many other places. I’m a fan of that! And please don’t raise your prices now!!!

Being that it’s inside the Dominick’s grocery store says enough… Long lines… Slow service… Subpar drinks… No «perks» of a true Starbucks branch(are not setup for mobile app)… The one pro, it’s location under the Fullerton El Stop. Yet, I keep going back…
