This Starbucks have the potential to be better. I actually miss the old employees working in here. I can tell the old manager left because the old manger that was there didn’t play no games. It never fails at this Starbucks for them to be dirty or lazy. If they have rush they try not to make the effort of getting people in and out. Employees need to be trained here again as well I always have to tell them to remake my drink bc it’s nasty bc they didn’t mix it well.

Only Starbucks between I.I.T and Chicago White Sox Stadium. When I am near this area and have a taste for burnt beans, I come here. Lines are longer here due to the college but worth the wait. If you have the app, you can order in advance.

They’re really nice but they take forever to get your drink! Some times I’m standing behind one or two people in the line and it takes about ten minutes to get my order in.

This Starbucks used to be good. Left for awhile and came back. It’s horrendous now. Now there’s a line everyday at 6am because every single worker is slow and incompetent. I never realized being a «barista» was so challenging but you would think these«workers» were in the midst of solving the NY Times crossword puzzle at how confused they are over basic matters i.e. proper change. The only reason I come here is because it’s the closest one to my house and on my way to work otherwise I would never step foot in here. Several times I left before my order came because I would have been late to work had I waited. No excuse for a coffee with a shot to take 7 minutes. Unacceptable and the management sucks too, taking zero responsibility when you tell them anything. Stay away if possible.

Numerous bad experiences at this location. Slow service, garbage overflowing no half-and-half at the small table. You pay a premium price for their products, however at this location it’s hit or miss whether you get that experience. Sadly this is the closest location to my home, so by default I go to the local coffee shop. Would probably benefit from different management for training up employees better.

Been to many Starbucks locations throughout the US and in Europe, but this one stands out in a negative way. So much so, this is my only Starbucks review, period. On numerous occasions, I’ve experienced the overall staff to be inattentive and work in 1 speed: SLOW. It really shouldn’t take 10 minutes to get a black coffee. Avoid if possible.

Inconsistent!!! On the weekends the employees on duty have zero personality and are too laid back. I’ve come here on weekday mornings and they get you in and out pretty quick and are pleasant. On this Saturday there were 3 people in front of me and it took 15 minutes

the workers at this Starbucks are LAZYANDSOSLOW! SLOWSLOWSLOW, I would go to a different Starbucks but this is the only one in my area, there is always a line and I don’t have time to stand around for 20 minutes before work. Oh, and 90% of the time I go there, there is a black bum waiting outside to ask you for money, I’ve told the Starbucks employees about it but I just got a blank stare, «duhh we can’t do anything about it» terrible customer service and parking sucks here too, it’s either pay to park on the crowded street or get a ticket around the corner where it’s «permit parking only»

The morning staff at this particular Starbucks is terrible. Most are lazy and rude. I’m sure glad I don’t have to visit this location often — not how I want to start my day.

Stopped in here after finishing up my morning run. While I loved the neighborhood vibe, I have to say I was glad I wasn’t in a hurry, as the barista was deep in baseball conversation with a group that looked like a local group for 6 am. I enjoyed listening to their banter as I waited for my coffee, clearly evident I was in Cub country. Lots of great table space, seems like a good location for setting up with a computer and getting work done if that is on your Starbucks checklist.

If this location wasn’t conveniently located in my neighborhood, I would never go here. In different occasions, I have experienced very slow service(many times) and closed during business hours after I paid money for the meter. Maybe this isn’t worth mentioning but I’m just also surprised at the fact that they actually gave me less iced coffee for ordering an iced coffee with less ice. I guess it’s fair but out of the hundreds of times I’ve been to Starbucks all over the city and other places, I’ve never actually gotten less coffee for ordering less ice. Ever.

Although this is closer to my garage I tend to venture to the more busier location on Roosevelt. I am so glad my partner choose this spot today b/c it was refreshing! This location reminded me why I don’t mind paying the extra couple of bucks for coffee. Each one of the employees were awake, upbeat & attentive! As the customers came in everyone was greeted & not one of those stale«they make me say hello» type greetings. It was warm & welcoming(even though they didn’t know my name). The Starbucks tunes were playing as a nice backdrop. Loud enough to be heard & be able to vibe to in the cozy corner; but not so loud as to add on to the clamor of the morning rush. I didn’t get every crew member’s name but Cory, Tia & the remainder of the morning crew… you guys ROCK! Thanks for giving me a jumpstart & lifted spirits this morning. Needless to say I will be back

I have been to this location several times and have never had a consistent experience. Sometimes I get people behind the counter that care, know what they are doing and deliver that exceptional Starbucks experience. Other times I get people who obviously don’t like their job, have no sense of what customer service is, and need more training on how to make their drinks. I have had Frapps with way, way to much milk and not enough mocha. I have had people at the register act curt and rude. I have had service that is at a snails pace with no explanation for it. If they could just get everyone on the same page to deliver acceptable customer service, and have pride in making the drinks right, this Starbucks would be a lot better. But as of now, this Starbucks needs a lot of work done before they get there. I usually just get an iced coffee, because it is summer and that is a drink that cannot be messed up.

Frequently crowded, but I guess it’s mostly IIT students using the free WIFI, because the people behind the counter have zero interest in selling you anything… or even acknowledging your existence.

This Starbucks is close to IIT and US Cellular Field. It’s the only Starbucks in the Bridgeport area, and that’s a bit sad. I like to study at coffee shops, but this place is much smaller than other Starbucks I’ve visited. There are a couple of tables in the shop, but it feels cramp and crowded. There are plenty of outlets though, which I will never complain about. The service is good, and nothing out of the ordinary. Wifi is standard Starbucks wifi. It’s pay for parking just outside the Starbucks, but there are free spots a couple of blocks down. There are better coffee shops in the area.

The worst and slowest Starbucks that I’ve ever been to. I’ve been here when there are only 3 customers besides myself and have still waited over 10 minutes for a drink. I find that unacceptable, and bewildering. I avoid this location at all costs.

It’s so unfortunate that there is one Starbucks in the city of Chicago that just can’t get it right and live up to the brand… it’s this one. I’m not going to rate the availability of parking because it’s busy in the area so what do you expect. But this is solely on the drinks and food. I’ve been here several times because I live in Bronzeville and I drive pass quite often. I have NEVER had a standard Starbucks drink from here. They are always off with their drinks. How do you mess up your signature drink like a frappé? It’s water downed and taste so artificial. They cannot make a Green tea lemonade and Lord knows what else. You will wait forever for your drink and it’s not crowded. Myself and two other people were inside and I literally went to the restroom, came out, briefly read a few articles in the paper they had on the table and my drink was still not ready. My drink is finally ready, but wait my cheese Danish was forgotten about by the barista so I had to wait an additional five minutes for that. You can get a parking ticket waiting for your drink in this place. Luckily I didn’t get one, but I will definitely not be going back to this location. I would suggest the Hyde Park location on 55th Woodlawn. The best Starbucks I’ve been to on the south side of Chicago.

It is quite unfortunate a Fortune 500 company cannot find the proper resources to update information regarding store changes made in 2014. The store employees say the changes to their hours of operation have been in effect for almost a year yet the website, Google, Unilocal, etc. all state incorrect hours. Starbucks is a place where people study, conduct business & schedule meetings based on hours of operation– they make & schedule plans using this accessible information in advance, as we did. We scheduled a meeting, picked this Starbucks location based on the location of everyone involved and once we got everyone there, we were told they were closing @ 9pm, although every resource we checked says 5:00am — 10:00pm. It sounds great to have new hours on one window facing the State street side of the building. That doesn’t really help someone entering from the 35th street side of the building since the hours aren’t also on the main entrance doors. I would rather have given my business to someplace else or at least to another location had I been able to plan in advance– to my disappointment I was not given that opportunity, just like many other customers who were walking in @ 8:45&9pm.

This Starbucks is in a convenient location, right outside of IIT. They have outdoor and indoor seating and ample street parking outside. It can get really busy and feel cramped but it depends on the time of day you go. Overall, cozy and quaint place to get coffee
