This Starbucks is honestly never too busy when I go in and the service is always friendly but very slow. Sometimes there’s only one person behind the counter to take orders and make drinks so there might be a slight hold up, but usually when they get on drinks, they go flying out. They always have Coconut Milk in stock now since me going previously(twice) and them being out and having to give me a refund(which is very courteous). Overall very small Starbucks but very convenient especially with the order ahead option so you can swoop by while you’re walking home or on your way out.

I recently moved into the area and this Starbucks is conveniently located next to my building. Very rarely do I have a bad experience at Starbucks. However, this location is operated with pure incompetence. The Baristas are very unfriendly and move at an extremely inefficient pace. But since this location is so close I’ve just learned to deal with the inefficiencies. However, today was the final straw. There was an indecisive family of three in front of me that was holding the line up. You know, the patrons that order the most difficult drinks and then stare at the pastries bar in pure confusion for another minute or two before placing an order for an overpriced donut. After standing in line for 5 minutes or so, I finally walked up and asked if anyone else could take my order as their were 5 baristas and only one cashier. One lady told me to stand back in line, which infuriated me. The manager comes out and yells, «get back in line sir!» We then exchanged some words and I walked out. I would expect this kind of service at the DMV, not a coffee establishment.

Overpriced, undervalued. Barristas make no eye contact at any point when processing transactions. WiFi is 500kbps. Go to HERO if you’re in the neighborhood and want good food and coffee.

This is a Starbucks, so I’m not going to bore you with details you can presume on your own. They get 4 stars for the simple fact that today, as I work on something that I find hard to concentrate on, they are playing BPM and I’m dancing in my seat. My thinking is clear and I’m fully productive. The volume is perfect, not too loud but also not so soft that I can hear what others are doing next to me. They would get 5 stars if the space was bigger, only one table where you don’t have to share with others, otherwise you are at a stool. Thanks for the great music today guys!

This is a small, but very busy Starbucks in the South Loop. Like any Starbucks, they have blond, medium and bold coffees. They offer all of the espresso drinks people are so fond of.(I stick to black, bold with nothing in it). And, they have the typical food selections that Starbucks has gotten into. They do have good service. The Baristas have always been pleasant when I’ve been there. The only downsides are it is small and there is little seating. Since it is fairly busy, it is not always easy to get a seat. And, there is one restroom only. Typically, there is a wait. I have never noticed a Clover machine, but see it referenced in other reviews. I will make sure to look for it next time I’m there.

I do love the Pikes coffee Starbucks offers, one of the best black cup of coffee I have ever had, I really really can’t stand the high maintenance customers that Starbucks attracts. I have waited in line for as long as 10 – 15 minutes just to get a Venti black coffee. This is not the fault of the staff, I lay the blame on the customers who think it’s OK to tie up the baristas and cashier with some highly complicated coffee concoction for a pretentious palate they seem to own. I have walked out of this place on several occasions and settled for a 7⁄11 coffee across the street just because of the wait time I refuse to put up with on some days. This place would need about 20 people working behind the counter to keep the line moving with some of the idiotic orders I have witnessed.

Barista pulls shot… shortly later… «here’s your double shot!»… «wait, but I ordered a triple shot»… «Oh, then, its a triple shot!». HMMMMMM… I should have known better… I’m not sure if I am more bitter about starbucks itself — or if the doubleshot that magically became a triple was just that bitter. I shall NEVER return… I’ll sooner dive into the cal sag and take a gulp than ever come back to this place.

Always a pleasant experience at this location. The people who work here are extremely nice and welcoming. I haven’t had a bad time here yet! 4⁄5 because it’s very small. Better for passing through than sitting down!

Barista went absolutely out of her way to be amazing! The Starbucks new app was not working so I couldn’t use my gift card to pay for a bag of coffee. Barista gave us the whole bag of coffee for FREE plus the other drinks we were getting. Love this place!

This Starbucks is super tiny. When there is a rush, the line is literally out the door! It’s not bad when it is warm out, but when it’s cold the entire place fills with a sharp, icey gust whenever the door is opened. There are not many places to sit, so I do not recommend coming here if you want to sit and enjoy a cup o’ joe. There is a table in front of the door that seats six(coldest place to be here), a few barstools, and three small tables that will sit 1 – 2 people. The baristas here are hit or miss. Some are extremely friendly and helpful, and some just don’t know what’s going on. They don’t really seem to work as a team here to fill orders when there is a long line. There’s a very aggressive Streetwise vender who is usually standing by the front door, often opening it for people while asking for them to buy him stuff when they go in. He starts cursing when turned down or ignored. I know this isn’t directly related to the Starbucks company, but it can make for an unpleasant trip to get coffee.

after grabbing coffee here for a year i can finally say i’ve had enough. its an absolute shame because its incredibly convenient and i’m admittedly addicted to star bucks, but aquillia has made it impossible to be a patron. each and every time i’ve encountered her i have received the absolute most miserable customer service that i have ever experienced. the only way i can describe my experience with her is rotten. it’s a shame because literally every other employee at this establishment is pleasant. i understand that people have bad days but she is consistently miserable. it’s absolutely atrocious.

Ivan is the reason people started going to Starbucks. He makes this corporate store a local coffee shop!

A solution: If you stop here during a random time of day, there will be tourists. Your process will be slowed down. If you stop here during morning rush, there will still be tourists, but the person who grabs the muffins and drip coffee will entertain their questions while you can expertly and quickly order your drink and go. #winning

As a former Starbucks barista, I get what it feels like to have a line out the door and have the expectation of being a smiling, helpful employee behind the counter. This Starbucks gets it. They’re insanely friendly(not in the fake way) and understand what it feels like to have a day that makes you feel like you’ve been run over by a bus. Regardless of when I go in, they are very prompt and my drinks always have the same delicious taste. Other Starbucks I’ve been to in the city don’t have the same professionalism when it comes to the drink itself. The store manager at this location, or whomever the trainer is, has done a fabulous job at ensuring amazing store quality. Their Clover Brew preparation is also very accurate and… of course, delicious. Compared to the other Clover store that’s right down the street, this store is amazing. Outside of there never being enough chairs because of the traffic in the store itself, this is an amazing store.

When it comes to Starbucks, you know what you’re getting. The menus at each franchise are just about identical, but there are distinct differences that make some branches more favorable than others. This review is meant to reflect what makes this Starbucks unique more so than the company as a whole. This is my favorite Starbucks in the Loop. For the true coffee fanatic, they offer Clover Brewed Starbucks Reserve coffees. These are exceptional rare blends that cannot be purchased at most Starbucks franchises. The Baristas competently handle this high-traffic location and make it all look easy. For frequent coffee drinkers, I also strongly recommend pursuing a Starbucks Gold Card if you do not already have one. By simply reloading and reusing a gift card, you can easily reach Gold status. By doing so you get free flavors, free soy milk, and a free drink after every 15.
