Both our sons go to the Sonnets academy. It’s a great place to be for kids. My elder one enjoys the time he spends there and doesn’t want to come back. This is a complete transformation from when he joined 2 years ago and was crying all the time and didn’t even want to enter the class. Both the class teachers as well as the center’s director are very friendly. My sons are fond of the class teachers and follow every word. Sometimes at home, we have to take teacher’s names to get some work done. :) The food being served is organic and good. Academically, teachers take lots of pain to make the concepts clear to kids. Every time I hear about many experiments from my son. To sum up, this center is not just a daycare, but a good academic place for our kids to be.

My son currently attends preschool at Sonnets Academy in the West Loop. I couldn’t be happier with the staff, especially the two teachers he has, Mr. Doug and Miss Gabby. They are creative in the ways they teach, warm and attentive with the children, and more importantly, my son really enjoys his days at Sonnets. I’ve found the center director to be attentive and responsive to questions. She communicates proactively and Sonnets has been a great fit for our family.

Our son has been enrolled here since they opened in early 2012 beginning in the infant room. For the most part we’ve been very happy with AKA/Sonnets. True, there was quite a bit of turnover in the staff in the front office and the rooms, but that has settled down quite a bit. Much of the staff was picked off by parents for nanny gigs and I can’t imagine that is unique to this Day Care Center. The staff and the friends are very diverse and the curriculum has an underlying theme of urban life(a strong attraction for those of us who didn’t flee to the suburbs immediately after the maternity ward discharge). The location is a strong benefit to Sonnets, centrally located, but also has its own enclosed outdoor space. In addition to that, in summertime the classes regularly head over to Mary Bartelme Park half a block away.
