My dog, as much as I, love coming to this park. Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The kids play area is sectioned off. There is also a large basketball court and some water fountains. People with other dogs are friendly too. Really nice view of the city skyline from here too.

WOW! I was really impressed by the playground in Skinner park. My 18-months old daughter loves it! I wish I live in West Loop…

Love this park. It’s perfect for spending a lunch hour picnicking and getting some sun. Ok, and sometimes swinging on the swings. Watching the little kids enjoy the outside is always a bonus, too.

I love this park! It’s huge, beautiful & there are always tons of dogs around. If I was a little kid I would so be running around in the giant sprinkler thing, and the garden is gorgeous and totally well maintained. I come here and picnic sometimes by myself, I just love it here.

We love the park. The school is finished being built now so the construction is over. We bring our dog Brady up here once in a while and let her run around. Never got a ticket for having her off leash. They did gate off a section for a playground and no dogs are allowed in there. That doesn’t bother me, the park is nicely kept and it offers a lot of space for everyone to do their own thing. Tennis courts are pretty packed though so if you want to play be prepared to wait and wait and wait …

Someone decided that this park is their personal yard, and for that reason, there are rules! Restrictions! Permit requirements! Don’t get me wrong– this park(that doubles as the sports area for the High School) has basketball courts, tennis courts, two baseball diamonds, a football field, a children’s playground, the always-on sprinkler play area, and an extremely well manicured garden area. But, you need a permit to play on the fields. No dogs or bikes allowed in the kids area. And I run past every day and it seems like there’s ALWAYS a landscaper working in the garden area. There’s also a rumor that there’s a woman who lives on Monroe with a view of the park who will call the police on you if you let your dog off leash. I’ve actually seen bike cops handing tickets out to people with off-leash dogs, so be careful.
