They are convenient, the customer service is good. At the same time I wish they provide healthier choices. «Sub joints» are common in low income areas or should I say more urban communities. Most times when I order anything fried is some what saturated in grease. Overall it is a good restaurant with good customer service in for a quick meal I say go for it but be aware of what you’re putting into your body.

I see this place every time I walk to the CTA Howard Red Line station, so today I gave it a try. It’s a simple establishment with one two-top booth and a four-top booth on opposite sides of the store. There is a narrow counter along the remaining windows for standing eaters. They haven’t removed the wall signage that shows pizza items, so be aware that they no longer offer pizza when you go. The prices are reasonable. I wouldn’t call this FAST food, per se, but the wait is not so off-putting as to keep me from going back. I tried the #4 Steak Burger combo, which came with fries and a can of soda. When I bit into my burger, my expectations of that little corner joint on Howard were exceeded. The patty is a half pound of bovine goodness with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, and mayo on a big sesame seed burger bun. There is no reason to be hungry when you put this combo away. I give it 4 of 5 stars for the lack of seating inside and the fact that Burger Boy has basically raised the bar for every corner burger joint on the planet in my book. They’re open late, reasonably priced, and conveniently located. I’d recommend this if you’re looking to pick something up en route to wherever, just not in the mood to cook, or if you’re in need of drunk food. In all honestly, I’d put this in the same class of food joints as the NYC $.99 pizza stalls.
