I booked Secondprint Productions for a Christmas family shoot for 10 people. On this November day, it was snowing like crazy and even though I built in extra time to make up for any snow related traffic, we still arrived a bit late. Every year, we have at least one photo session with a photographer for family pictures. Since moving from Chicago, we have yet to have a repeat photographer except for Albert. We have pictures of the kids from 2010 and 2012 with Secondprint, so this year, we decided to drive from Michigan for pictures. (That alone should tell you how much I love working with Albert.) I called in advance on the road letting them know I was running a bit behind and their professionalism and flexibility was above and beyond expectation. They went over the time to make sure we were able to get good shots. Albert was not only patient with trying to get the attention of 2 babies, 2 kids, and 6 adults, he captured amazing shots of the whole family. The turnaround for our digital files was exceptionally quick, and it was the best Christmas present we have given to my parents— beautiful memories captured in pictures of grandparents and all their grandbabies.

Albert and Jason went seriously above and beyond for us on our special wedding day in October. Albert has been a family friend for a long time and it made the moment so special to have him helping us capture the memories.
He was so supportive and professional. They caught the most amazing photos and got creative with our bridal party pictures. We had so much fun and the pictures match our quirky esthetic. Thanks again for being there 100% of the time!

Albert was our photographer for our February 2015 wedding and I can’t say enough good things about him! For someone who is on a tight budget Albert is definitely the person to choose. The pictures turned out great! And he gave us the digital chip of all our pictures! Albert is definitely the person to choose for a downtown wedding!

We had our holiday family photoshoot with Albert and it went really well. He was very flexible and we got our photos quickly so we could send out last minute Christmas cards. We’ve had several photographers shoot our family over the years and he is one of the best. We’ll definitely be using him year after year.

My fiancé and I met up with Albert and his partner Jason to discuss the option for our traditional engagement ceremony. He was very professional and very informative, plus, he can speak Cantonese which is a plus since my family is Chinese. What we love about him was his work, creativity, and vision. Him and the second photographer were able to capture all the details of our engagement. We are looking forward to do business with him for our engagement shoot and for our wedding in 2017.
They are amazing to work with and they go the extra mile for you on your photos!

I am writing this review as another wedding professional, not a client perspective. I have worked with Albert several times and I wish I could work with him EVERY SINGLE wedding I shoot. His approach to each wedding is «let the day unfold» instead of too much directing or controlling the moment which helps with wedding couples relaxed and be themselves. Above all, the couples can enjoy their day!
I have been recommending Albert to my brides for last 7 years of my business.

Albert did a FANTASTIC job doing a small photo shoot for my girlfriend and I. The pictures came out incredible and the price was very good. We will definitely be using Albert for our wedding and other future events.

Albert did a great job on our wedding. A few thing we really appreciated:
— He brought along his assistant Jason who suggested some really fun poses for the groom and groomsmen. We really had a lot of fun with Jason.
— Albert spoke Chinese which was a big help with our Chinese family. Our family was very comfortable with him and Albert’s Chinese really helped in directing them.
— Overall, Albert was very professional and managed the process well. He gave clear directions but was nice and professional about it.
— And of course the pictures! They turned out well and our family and friends have really enjoyed them!
We would recommend Second Print for a wedding or any special occasion. They are easy to work with and are fun guys in general.

When I met with Albert whom I haven’t seen in a long while about the photography he was very inform about how much it would cost and the whole layout. When my husband met him, he also explain it in good detail about the cost and he answer any other questions my husband had. He is an excellent photographer, professional, easygoing, good to work with and knows what he is doing. It’s great that he knows the great places to take pictures cuz I didn’t know where to start. The pictures came out great and he did an amazing job. I would recommend him as a photographer also along with his assistant.

Usually when it comes to photos I tend to feel self-​conscious and awkward, but Albert is so friendly and easy to work with that I was able to make it through my engagement and wedding photos with him with no problem.
When we met with Albert for engagement and wedding photos, he listened well to what we wanted and was very accommodating. Our wedding actually took place in Washington, and Albert was a champ at finding his way around, scoping out locations, and making the most out of what ended up being a gray and drippy day. And even when my coordinator took a bite out of him, he maintained a professional demeanor and continued his work as if nothing had happened.
We have been very happy with his work, so much so that we have commissioned him to do a maternity shoot for our first-​born, and eventually newborn pics when she arrives. Albert puts a lot of thought and care into making sure he captures the best moments of your day, and has a creative eye for shots that I would never think to take. You definitely want someone with his creativity covering your special day.

Photography was a high priority for our wedding, and we didn’t want to trust our Big Day to just anyone. We looked around for months, read lots of reviews, met with several photographers, but we knew our search was over when we found Albert from SecondPrint Productions!
From our first consultation with Albert, we felt a comfort and genuine care that we didn’t get from anybody else. He asked lots of questions and our meeting took much longer than we had anticipated because of all my endless questions, all of which he happily answered with a smile on his face. ;) We realized that just as important as photographic quality is– which Albert’s is top of the line– is the rapport we would have with our photographer/​s, since we would be spending so much time with them and in front of them. And thanks to his kindness and warmth as well as his consummate professionalism (he was super punctual and very responsive for the months leading up to our wedding), we were able to fully trust that Albert would go above and beyond for us on our Big Day, to not only get the great shots but to make sure we were fully satisfied.
He directed us in a way that was fully understandable, creative, comfortable, and thoughtful. Even my bridesmaids told me afterward how impressed they were by Albert and how his guidance the whole time made them feel really comfortable and confident. These qualities are not a given with all photographers these days, and I’m so grateful that we were fortunate enough to experience this! He really made the photo shoots so fun and flexible, while also being non-​intrusive enough for my husband and I to often forget he was there during our candid/​romantic moments and especially during the ceremony!
An issue that customers could complain about is the length of time after the wedding to get their photos back. However, Albert told us that starting this year, he is making it his goal to accept fewer clients every year, thus being able to dedicate more time to editing with shorter post-​production time. This was another great assurance for going with Albert. (so book way in advance!)
Thank you SO MUCH, Albert, for your care for us and making us feel so special and attractive (haha) on that day! We’re blessed we found not only a great photographer, but also a dear friend, in Chicago! :D

We had a great time working with Albert. From the beginning, he was extremely helpful and friendly, and we immediately knew he was a good fit for us and our budget. He’s very knowledgeable about the industry and was able to answer any questions we had.
What my husband and I valued the most was Albert’s ability to get along with everyone. We had used a different photographer for our engagement shoot, and although he shot beautiful photos, he was just very antisocial, serious, and hard to connect with. After we met Albert, we realized how important it was to us to have someone who was compatible with our personalities and was able to communicate effectively with our friends and family.
During our wedding, Albert was professional, but at the same time, felt like a friend who was there to help us through the day. An added bonus was that he knew Cantonese so he was able to communicate with the elder family members who did not know English. Albert was (and is) extremely responsive before and after the wedding. After our honeymoon, we requested a few photos for our thank you cards, and he was able to send some within a few days. We were able to receive all of our wedding photos about 3 months after our wedding, and we love them!

This review is long overdue. I cannot thank Albert enough for the beautiful wedding pictures. Albert did a wonderful job at capturing all of our special moments. It is clear that Albert enjoys his work and that is why he is so great at what he does. We received so many compliments from our guests about what a pleasure it was to work with Albert. Since we had a destination wedding, many of our friends and family were not able to attend. But thanks to our wonderful photos they were able to feel like they were in the moment and felt just as emotional as if they were there with us. This truly speaks to the quality of Albert’s work. We will definitely be using Albert from now for all of our special events. Thank you!

This is a tough one to review in terms of rating. 2.5 stars.
There were some very goods coupled with some very not so goods.
Starting off on the positive side…
(+) When we met Albert, he was very friendly and attentive to our needs and seemed like a stand up good guy who we felt would be excellent to take our wedding photos.
(+) Some of my friends got married a while ago and were not used to such long photo shoots but everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable time despite the alleged «chore» of taking photos.
(+) The actual day of, he made both of us feel at ease with a friendly manner and his co-​photographer was also lots of fun and did a great job.
Now to the dark side…
(-) This may be as a result of being too busy or some other reason but we are still waiting for items paid for to arrive and it’s coming up to 4 months. That’s a bit too long a wait imo.
(-) Although there were some good shots, many were not properly thought out and a certain spread of shots were missing. e.g. Portrait shots are important to the older generation but those were lacking despite a request for those.
(-) Some photos appear to have not been edited and the background on some were distracting and with a little more care and attention to detail could have been easily fixed.
(-) A pet peeve of mine is unbalanced photos which look odd when you look back at them. e.g. The bridesmaids were all bunched together on one side with the bride and the groomsmen were evenly spaced next to the groom. I’d hope looking through a camera you would be able to identify and correct that.
Overall, when thinking about wedding costs, photography is a big consideration (it’s a big outlay so you expect great things) to factor in. We also had a videographer who was great and that may be where you can get that little bit more. I’d say to skip the getting ready shots if you have a friend that can take those as those were our least viewed/​favorite and use the budget for a videographer. Get a good one and you won’t regret it.

We were referred to SecondPrint through a friend for wedding photos. Unfortunately Albert was unable to shoot our event because he was already booked. I had some general questions about photographers and Albert was more than willing to answer them. The professional manner in which he responded to my questions was so reassuring and helpful. The least I could do was share this experience on Unilocal for anyone considering SecondPrint as their future photographer. Kudos to Mr. Yau.

Al is the most amazing photographer I have ever known. He provided the professional photography needs for my brother and sis-​in law’s wedding, and did an AMAZING job. Not only is he so professional, but he really cares enough to go out of his way to make sure that everyone is happy, comfortable, and able to get their pictures taken. Granted, my family is not the easiest to please and some members of my family are very pushy, Al nevertheless is always patient and willing to go the extra mile.

My fiancé and I met with Albert of Secondprint Productions to talk about photography for our wedding. When we were doing our research, he was one photographer that stood out to both of us. His pictures are simply striking. He does a great job catching the moment and the colors in his pictures really pop. To top it all off, he is extremely friendly and laid back! This is a huge plus when you think about how much time you actually spend with your photographer on the wedding day. Any couple looking for stylish colorful photos should check out Albert’s work!
