Sooo, the lady who helped me was really nice, the service was fast and I got a 6 inch chicken pesto hot wrap for about $ 6 which was okay buuut the sandwich was pretty tiny. I don’t know. Maybe it’s the super-size effect at play here. The location, kind of off in the cut so to speak, makes it a place that caters to in building tenants, I would think. That’s all I can really say about it.

Not bad. Thanks to Groupon, I had three lunches from this place and they were more than decent. I tried two hot wraps from their large menu, the chicken fajita and cuban style, and one of their cold ones– the thai chicken something or other. They pack these things with serious fillings and flavor so don’t worry about them skimping on the meats and cheeses. The dipping sauces for the hot wraps were alright as well. The staff is nice and the food comes out fast and ready for consumption. Their bags are way too thin though and because of somewhat over-stuffage, I’ve had issues carrying the food back to my workplace. The cuban one totally leaked through a hole it made in the bag and all over my pants. I did not appreciate smelling like ham and pickles for the rest of the day. I’d also prefer them wrapping the halves separately so the roll doesn’t stick out awkwardly from the bag leaving little room to hold onto the package. Really, though, a half is all you need. The groupon was for a full sandwich, chips, and a drink and that was way too much food.

It’s a little worse than Subway. Pros: Relatively quick service Clean establishment Flavor’s in the sauce Cons: Flavor’s in the sauce Little to no flavor in the meats Walked in, not a single customer in the place. Asked the worker there if they had just opened who gave a curt«No.» The gentleman behind the expedition counter(in the kitchen) was much friendlier, informative, and took the initiative to answer my questions. Had the tuna wrap and the chicken wrap. Both were prepared well but the only thing that can save this place from financial ruin is a new poultry & fish supplier. Thank you for the polite service but I wouldn’t recommend the food here.

Great quick wraps and the service really takes it to 5 star status. Super nice and very knowledgable of everything on the menu. A little hard to find but once you’re here you’ll keep coming back.

Sorry I wanted to like this place – as the people are nice here, but the food is just not good. Barely any fillings in the wrap, would not recommend.

Oh RP, how I love thee… This is one of those gems for a quick, fresh, healthy lunch spot. I roll my own and I make a tuna melt wrap, but their menu items are delicious and the staff is AWESOME. I love these guys. I’m a regular and there’s a good reason why!

Very healthy but not sure I would go back without the Groupon. Got the ciderhouse hot sandwich, very tasty, didn’t love the side dressing for dipping purposes, but the 6-inch wrap was good. The homemade chocolate chip cookie was also good and reminded me a bit of why I love the Harris Teeter chocolate chip cookies too. Very centrally located and the staff/space were great.

Used Groupon to try a new restaurant. Small place. If you are new then this place is difficult to find. a small board somewhere in corner. no one really knows. No one down the street knows arcade plaza. there is no Name written. I ordered a sandwich & walnut spinach salad. but they gave me a wrap.damm. The salad has no dressing. oh gosh dry stuff.

Do you enjoy waiting 20 minutes for a mediocre and sloppy(physically) sandwich? Then I’ve got the joint for you. Seriously, the place maybe had about 4 tables eating, and 6 people waiting for food. There were about 3 – 4 people in the back(from who would pop up from time to time) and it still took 15 – 20 minutes to get my meal. Once I got back to the office, I found this flat, open ended, liquid filled«thing» with very little taste, dripping everywhere. $ 6.50 was probably too much, and I’m still hungry. The menu is nonsensically numbered, it appears dingy, and it’s just depressing.

How I found this place is still a mystery to me — even to this day. After driving around in circles for what seemed like days, my friend and I finally spotted this Roly Poly which was tucked away in the side of a building down a narrow alley. We thought we were going mad looking for the address, but were relieved to find it. So in a state of frustration and Groupon in hand, we made our way in. Not surprised, the place was empty like a total ghost town. I didn’t mind though; no lines for us! We made our way in the counter and I noticed that the place is waaay understaffed granted I don’t think people are coming in flocks because the location is so hidden — there was about one cook and one cashier and another person standing around. The Groupon iss such an amazing deal — you get 5 full sandwiches with five sides, which consist of chips, cookie, potato salad or pasta salad, as well as your choice of drink(fountain drinks or bottled). The menu is HUGE so make sure you look at it online before you come in. We chose to try the pesto chicken, buffalo slim, key west cuban, oriental chicken, and chipotle chicken sandwiches. The standout was definitely the pesto chicken sandwich with large chunks of chicken, provolone cheese, mushrooms, and sundried tomatoes. The other sandwiches were alright. Avoid the oriental chicken sandwich — super watery and bland. For the sides, we chose potato salad. In hindsight, we should’ve just chosen cookies and chips because the mustard in the mayo based sauce was too overpowering. As we were dining, there were loads of people coming in and it got a bit hectic so they should defs hire more people to man the front of house. Other than that, there’s parking, but it’s tricky cause it’s downtown and there’s free wifi as well! Am I rushing to go back — NO. But, if I were to purchase another Groupon, I could see myself going again. Especially because now, I know where this hidden(literally) eatery is.

So I was gifted a Groupon from this place for free lunches. What’s better than free lunches? Nothing! It’s tucked in a building off LaSalle, in one of those Hot Guys With Lawyer Ties buildings. Full of hotties. Real, smart lawyers who are not evil disbarred criminals and who work hard for a living — hot. But. .. I digress, and am babbling. I got the Philly Steak Melt. First, let me say I am not a fan of wraps. But WHOA, this place serves wraps for people who don’t like wraps. The nicest guy in the world works the counter, so friendly and cute. It’s one of those places where you order, and then they bring your food out. I like these places ‘cos you can munch on your Salt n’ Vinegar potato chips, sip your lemonade and scope out hotties. The wrap. Ohhhhhhh, juicy and delicious. I was hungry that day, so this was the perfect size for lunch after you’ve skipped breakfast. Juicy roast beef, melted cheese and green peppers. And a delicious sauce to dip the wrap. Have I mentioned juicy and delicious? This was a «hot pressed» wrap, so it was warm, and the wrap was not the usual weird, rubbery, throwaway tortilla, but a crispy, savory, crunchy wrap of yum around the delicious ingredients. I got three more lunches on that Groupon, but I’ll be back for more after that. There’s a lot of stuff I want to try on that menu.

I found this place by accident the other day walking around looking for something new to try. I wasn’t that impressed. I had the skinny buffalo wrap. Everything about it was bland. The chicken was okay the sauce was also just okay. It wasn’t that filling. I went sometime around 120 p.m., so there wasn’t a long line. I don’t know if I will be back. The wrap was okay, but just bland. No real flavor or excitement in it.

Roly Poly certainly gets credit for some tasty sandwiches, but that is about where it ends. I have been to Roly Poly several times and they are constantly understaffed for a Loop lunch area. One time I only counted one cook in the back, and two cashiers. The line was quickly growing out the door. This is important to recall because I was the first person in… and I had been waiting nearly 20 minutes for my sandwich. Thinking this a one-time occurrence, I gave them another shot. Same story. They put out 3 sandwiches in 25 minutes. Honestly, they are on LaSalle Street; there are lawyers everywhere who measure their lives by the 10th of the hour, who are now waiting 20+ minutes for a damn sandwich. Additionally, the menu has too many sandwiches, and are numbered in a non-sensical order. I don’t know how they stay in business as a fast-food/lunch establishment. I would really need a reason to go back. There are many other options in the area who do the same thing, only better and faster.

Location: its pretty much in an alley off of Lasalle across the streen from Northern Trust Bank. I have found a new«once a week» lunch spot near work! They closed many suburban locations so I have to get my fix when I am on my lunch break. The first thing I noticed is the staff is as friendly, courteous and polite as they get. I was about to buy a hot wrap, and he suggested a similar hot wrap on their daily special getting me a drink and chips for the same price, and they bring your lunch to your table, not yell out your order. Thats proactive service! The food is delicious and healthy depending on what sides you add. Its the perfect alternative to any sandwich shop that getting too routine. Prices are fair, and there are so many options! I rarely give 5 stars, but 1 of those is just for the service.

I honestly do not know how this place stays in business with their Groupon deals. Nevertheless, I am grateful for their bargains and delicious food. We came here on two different ocassions. The first time we came, the weather was great and I ordered a hot wrap – Chicken Cordon Bleu. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was delicious and it came with a side of dipping sauce. The large order was so big I was able to take the other half home and have it for dinner. The shop was PACKED with people so finding a seat was really difficult. The second time we came, the weather sucked. It was pouring rain. However, on the plus side, the crowds were gone so we were able to sit and enjoy our meal. This time, I ordered a cold wrap – Ceasar wrap. It kinda sucked. If I come here again, I’ll know to go on a rainy day, to order a Chicken Cordon Bleu.

I also got the Groupon to try this place out. It is a bit hard to find since it’s like on a side street that sort of looks like an alley. They looked like they had a lot of to go orders. I ordered the Buffalo Slim since I’ve seen it mentioned a few times. The lady gave me my cup and number, but didn’t even ask me what I wanted for a side. I ended up just going to pick out a bag of chip. I think they were out of all the sides, but I heard her mention they had cookies. Well, it would’ve been nice to have an option. Wraps look thin, but they are not a bad size. I have to say the wrap wasn’t that good. I don’t think the plum tomatoes belong in it. Also, it gets very liquid-y(you know what I mean) and messy to handle. So, my other half of the wrap was all wet. I ended up just throwing out the other half. It didn’t take that long for the wrap to come out, but the line built up fast. I have one more combo to use up and hopefully that one will be better.

Maybe I’m biased because I used to play with roly polys when I was younger(you know, those cute little black bugs that roll up when you touch them). Or, maybe it’s because the name reminds me of a really cool ride that I should invent. Or, maybe… just maybe, I love this place because of their fantastic food that’s healthy and full of taste. Roly Poly and me are definitely friends. I’m here at least twice a week to get one of their healthy wraps. I will agree with other reviewers that the wraps are small, but the half portion for me is perfect and aligns with my healthy diet. Some words of wisdom: — Order the hot wraps; they’re much tastier — Play around with the different sauces — Get there early if you want to get a seat — Try their cookies; they’re delicious! My verdict: GUILTY… of being too healthy and tasty for my own good.

I like the salads(they have 5 choices or so) and the hot wraps but I’m not a fan of the cold wraps. There are about 20 choices of wraps and you can get them as full or ½ size. It’s a little hard to find this place since it’s down what’s basically an alley. All the food is made to order but they get it out in less than 5 minutes and there’s almost always seating available.

Nice little soup/salad/sandwich spot in The Loop. Tucked away on a little side street of LaSalle, this place is worth a lunch visit from time to time. I had the Chow Chicken Salad(mixed greens, sliced Chicken Breast, crispy chinese noodles, dried cranberries, avocado, plum tomato, scallions, carrots, cucumber, green pepper, alfalfa sprouts, with sesame ginger dressing). Not only did I feel good about myself, but I can honestly say it was one of the most delicious salads I’ve ever had. Easy to say when I’ve only had two salads… in life!(just kidding of course… or AM I?)

For those tired of the potbelly sandwich works seen, where the staff is always friendly, but the choices seem tired and the product seems much too manufactured, then Roly Poly is for you. After stopping in for lunch I can honestly say I really enjoyed my sandwich here. The ingredients appeared fresh, the wrap was a nice departure from the typical carb overloaded sandwich shop and the my sandwich(or more appropriately referred to as «wrap») tasted good. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, which came with grilled, not fried chicken, cheese and a moderately spicy buffalo sauce. Very enjoyable, and thankfully I opted for the large size because a small/half size would not have been enough for lunch. I feel fat just saying this, but the half size was definitely not large enough to pass for lunch. Maybe adequate for a snack, but pay the extra $ 2 for lunch, you won’t be sorry. Overall I am growing to be a Roly Poly fan and I’m looking forward to trying more of their tasty goodness.
