RideLine Sharpening

I love this guy! As long as I am in Chicago, he will be my shear sharpener. It’s a really hard thing to find because most sharpeners have spent most of their career sharpening knives, which as a hairstylist, is completely different than the shears I use! He was so particular and thorough which is perfect, because using the same shears for years requires care when sharpening. Also he, helped me look at knew shears and gave me this amazing lesson on how to know when something is dull or has been sharpened wrong in the past. Totally personable, the man KNOWS HIS SHIT! and will share it!
Also he is incredibly dapper!

Even though Manoah is my friend, I was still hesitant to let him sharpen my shears. Those things are expensive! So naturally, I waited until someone I worked with got theirs done first. And after he told me they cut like butter I had him do mine. He did 3 pairs of my shears and they are all great. I had one pair that always loosened really quickly and he added a washer to it to keep them tighter and they haven’t loosened at all. He is extremely knowledgable about what he’s doing and gave me way more information on my shears than I care to know. He does a better job and is less expensive than the guy who normally comes to my shop to do our shears. I’ve referred him other people and they all say their shears are awesome. And it’s usually pretty rare when not one picky hairstylist has a complaint about their shears. He’ll be doing mine from now on. He also has a good selection on shears to purchase and he’s mobile. So you don’t have to deal with sending your shears out and waiting for them to come back. Always a bonus!
