I really love this place! I frequent this restaurant at least twice a week(I know, I know!). The reason I return is consistency, service, and hard-work. The dishes they do well, they do well… all the time. Pad See Ew and Pad Woon Sen are the best I’ve had in the city so far. The former they load up with broccoli and add just the right amount of black pepper to open the nasal passages. The Woon Sen is a bouquet of garlic and sesame and as soon as it crosses your nose you perk right up. The service here is wonderful. Owned and operated by two sisters, they literally work every day and so very hard at that. One manages the kitchen while the other manages front-of-the-house. You can see they are very thankful for the opportunity to share their recipes and delight with customers about Thai cuisine and culture. They possess a great sense of pride which comes off in the clean décor and enjoyable food. I’m not too keen on the pad thai here, I prefer the southern style which has more tamarind flavor(such as Thai Grille), but I’m very keen on everything else I’ve had. From fried rice to duck, I always enjoy the dishes they prepare.

Great place. They tolerated our noisy-ness, the food was delicious. I had the red curry, and it was as good as any I’ve ever tried. Will come back again for either carry out or dine in.

Lovely neighborhood spot with excellent service. A bunch of us came by for a late lunch; several folks had food restrictions. The folks at Rice kept track of all of them(and for each dish, asked for preferred spice levels) and everything was homey, yummy and accurate. Will definitely come back if I’m in the area!

Food was delicious :) and the service is wonderful and very friendly. I highly recommend the som tum(aka papaya salad). Portions sizes are huge! I look forward to enjoying my left overs

Excellent food… not sure how authentically THAI the salmon shrimp egg fried rice is… and it was super bland… until I added the spicy sauce from my friend’s seafood salad — all seafood and no salad btw — to my bowl… and then it was AMAZING. Not sure if it was a ploy, but that ‘medium’ setting made your throat clear, your sinuses runn… and essentially forced you to order a Thai Iced Tea or Coffee… damn that pepper oil. I like this place. If youre in the area, you should check it out. Good food AND nice service. P. S. Their glasses are super cute. IMO

Worst Thai delivery ever! Pad Thai was soo bland & greasy. Panang curry was sour & sucked. Tom ka soup tasted more like panang curry than the panang curry actually tasted like. Tom yum soup was bland & also sour. They also forgot our Thai iced teas! Would never reorder & will never visit.

I’m not sure why this restaurant had such good ratings. Everything we received in our delivery order was mediocre at best. Pad kee mao was bland, not a hint of spice to it. A liberal dosing of sambal fixed it up to ‘okay’. Basil Chicken was really watery, which was odd. The flavor was okay, nothing special. Egg rolls were just okay. I didn’t finish mine, which is crazy for me to say. The Potstickers? Normally my favorite, but, well — I’m glad I had a coupon for these, because they were NOT good. Strange shape and texture, like they were deep-fried, and the flavor was just –weird-. I love thai food, but I do NOT love Rice Thai.

Simply AMAZE-BALLS! Tried 4 apps, salad & pad Thai, each dish was better than the one before. The shrimp shumai are delicate yet robust with flavor, chicken satay was not overpowered with seasoning & the peanut sauce had the perfect amount of spice. Best fish cakes in town, not too eggy or oniony. The pad Thai was moist, savory & well sauced, the fried rice was impressive. I know, Thai fried rice, but it was what I was craving & was not disappointed. I also recommend the lemon ginger iced tea, WOW! Great flavor & just the right amount of bite.

Just ordered from grubhub and it showed up 5 min ago. Ordered pad se ew, beef with broccoli, veggie dumplings and shrimp spring rolls. –Both meat dishes had no taste. –veggie dumplings were fried and had very little veggies –shrimp spring rolls are shrimp wrapped in crispy dough. none of it tasted great. Dumped it all and made my kids hot dogs. Waste of money

Simple layout of the place. Great food. Small-ish seating area. But the service and food are great. I already went back a few times. There is street parking in the front. I’ve always gone in the evening around 7:30−8 and I never have trouble finding parking

Simple no frills ambiance, immaculately clean, friendly owner/staff, and delicious food at very reasonable prices, what more can one ask for? My girlfriend and I stopped in with my mother for a quick lunch. We had the papaya salad(som tum), shrimp salad, beef salad and an order of pad Thai. The woman who took our order was very warm and friendly, she asked us on a level of 1 – 10 how spicy. We had the Som tum at a 3. I love spicy food, my mom bites straight up jalapeño peppers with her food, and the 3 of us had runny noses(but in a great way). Trust me don’t go over a 4 unless you can handle some real heat. It was that addictive spice that keeps you coming back for another bite. It was delicious, everything was. Pad thai was the perfect balance spicy sweet. It’s very welcoming and homey. You get the sense that it’s a bunch of moms cooking as they would for their kids. At the end of the meal we were all sniffling from the heat and the woman brought us some lychee jello on the house to cool down. My mom is a picky eater and she loved it all, I will def. be back and will be dreaming of that papaya salad until then.

Excellent food, great little find! The price is very reasonable and the portion sizes are decent as well(not too big, definitely not to small). The Pad See Eu with chicken is great, but my fave is the Massamun Curry. Even the Kaeng Pa was also delicious but perhaps a little spicy for my palate(of course, that’s my bad ordering, not the restaurant’s fault!) Oh, and the staff is soooooooooo friendly! I intend to make this my regular Thai spot! :)

Serendipity is the best, isn’t it? Stomping along irritated that Dynamic African Never Open When Rohan is Around Restaurant was once again closed, I ran across the little Rice Thai Asian Kitchen restaurant’s outdoor specials of the day whiteboard. No, actually, I ran into the whiteboard. We re-grouped and decided to order for pick up, the restaurant is a tiny little place. You know the haole guy who thinks that eating spicy food is some sort of macho competition so he thinks he needs to order«ethnic» food at «you can’t make it too hot for me» levels? Do you know that guy? Well if you do, smack him upside the head, he is so messing up eating out for those of us who actually enjoy authentically inflammable spicy Southeast Asian cooking. Because of this guy, Thai restaurant operators serve all their food at the same safely mild or mild to medium spice-hot level no matter how you order it. Your idiot roundeye friend can brag that he eats it at the hottest level, and people like me may grumble a little that it’s not hot enough but if it’s otherwise good, we’ll be return customers. And how is it that inflammable and flammable mean the same thing? I give you this background not merely to rant(though ranting is as important a function of Unilocal as raving you know), but to frame this interesting difference about RTAK. Every other Thai place I’ve been to, including in Bangkok, will ask you how you want your food, on a scale of 1 to 5. Not RTAK, she asked how hot I wanted it on a scale of 1 to 10! I had to have her repeat the question because I wasn’t sure I heard her correctly. This inspired me recite some idiotic quotes from«This is Spinal Tap,» which she did not understand or find amusing, sometimes I do feel sorry for innocent people who have to listen to me, but only occasionally and briefly. I did find out if you order it at level 10, and you claim your name is RomRan, they will make it satisfyingly potent. This pretty authentic place has tried to provide English names for their dishes, but this can make it a bit challenging to predict what you will get. For example we ordered the«chive dumplings,» which weren’t the round steamed kanom gui chai that I was expecting, but instead were these very tasty fried chive cakes that also seem to be kanom gui chai. Doesn’t matter, very tasty. So were the salt-salmon shrimp fried rice, the tofu and bean sprouts(sounds healthy, right? Tasted too good to be healthy so I’m guessing it’s a high fat, high sodium entrée), shrimp cakes, and this curry that was made without the shortcuts that make more Americanized places taste less interesting.

Just ordered delivery from here for the first time. Got the tom ka soup with chicken, crab rangoon, and pad see eu with beef. Delivery came on time and service was good. The food was also good, but having tried various thai food places in the area, the food was a bit bland by comparison. The crab rangoons were big, but tasted like there was only cream cheese inside and no crab. The pad see eu was also a bit lacking in the flavor department. The tom ka soup was tasty and the best part of the meal. Overall good, but I would suggest trying some other thai places in the area and choosing for yourself.

I live very close by in the neighborhood and have been coming here for the past 3 years! It has changed owners a few times, but it is my favorite still! It has authentic and delicious cuisine, a clean and trendy environment, and a friendly staff. I ordered carry out and am eating it as I write. LOL

The folks that run this place are such genuinely nice people who clearly love what they do — and you can tell this is true in the food and the experience. This place has incredible food. And really incredible service. If I lived closer or within delivery range this would be an easy go to. But it’s truly good enough to be a destination. Seriously. And they can make stuff super spicy while still being super flavorful — which is hard to find.

What a fantastic addition to the neighborhood! I’ve now been here three times and it has never ceased to exceed my expectations. First off, it’s SUPER clean inside and you can tell the owners take pride in that. Second, the lunch special is a great deal, you get soup, pot stickers, your entrée and fresh fruit as a dessert. They also don’t hold back on the spice if you ask them for extra(or Thai) spicy! Better than Indie or Summer in my opinion.
