Great ! The hostess seated us in a great place not knowing it was a special night out for us till after the fact. Great views of the river. Good service. When you enter hotel, go up the stairs to the left. The hostess will seat you. Nice waitress. No issues. Don’t worry about being dressed. Some were dressed others not. All fit in. I’ll go back.

Overpriced, in my opinion. Cocktails run $ 16 to $ 18 which is steep compared to other options around the area so I opted for an Allagash Black. Plus, the service was just okay. The view of the river was beautiful and the décor was nice though.

Atmosphere and service worth the price of drinks. We spent a long weekend in Chicago and visited Rebar after going to a Cubs game on a Friday afternoon. As tourists, we were not disappointed.

Short Review: Rebar is my kind of place in every single way. Long Review: If you’re unfamiliar with the Trump Tower Chicago, construction started in 2005 and opened in January 2009. Trump had originally intended it to be the tallest building in the United States, but changed his mind in the wake of the 9⁄11 tragedy. It is currently the fourth tallest building in the United States, at 1389′ tall, and cost $ 847 million dollars to build. The architect was Adrian Smith. Rebar is on the mezzanine level of the Trump Tower Chicago. Rebar is sophisticated upscale, yet causal, with signature cocktails, a sexy vibe, a gorgeous highly trained staff, right in the middle of one of the finest cities. I absolutely love being in the River North Gallery District and stopping in to Rebar dressed up for the night, enjoying the simple pleasure of walking in and hearing the super hype music as I’m surrounded by all of the gorgeous staff and guests, in the loveliest of surroundings, for one of my favorite cocktails: Pink Affair(sparkling rosé, St. Germain, berries, soda) or Trump Sling(Knob Creek Single Barrel, demerara sugar, nutmeg scented ice). I often stop in to get the night started in style, or come in with friends to relax and have a light bite; like braised short rib quesadilla(chihuahua cheese, chipotle sauce, salsa rojo, cilantro sour cream) or the goat cheese flatbread with sun dried tomatoes. I have been many, many times to Rebar since I first discovered it in 2009, and I’ve never been disappointed. I challenge anyone with similar taste to mine to not feel the same. I will definitely continue to come back! Of note… Happy Hour: Tues-Thurs 7pm-9pm Parking is valet. Hours: Mon-Wed: 4pm-12:30am Thurs/Fri: 4pm-1am Sat: 3pm-1:30am Sun: 1pm-12:30am For more information: I 5⁄5 highly recommend Rebar!

Swanky second floor lounge with gorgeous Chicago River views. Service is good, vibe is ultra modern see-and-be-seen, expense account or Chi-glitterati. Prices are what you’d expect at something named Trump. I was there in mid-July late night on a Thursday. Not too packed then. I wonder if Trump’s current notoriety(mid-Sept ’15) has hurt business here? Doubt it. Probably wouldn’t matter much with $ 17 glasses of wine, and that’s probably a cheaper offering(a Spanish red of some sort from Artadi… it was smooth and full bodied if I remember my sip correctly). I’m not much of a wine fella so I had a «Red Dragon» cocktail. Steep at $ 17 also, this«spicy blend of jalapeño infused Chopin & fresh raspberry purée, accented with fresh lime» was certainly an enjoyable drink but a little too frou-frou and weak given the price. Give me that bitterness, I moved on to beer! A Trappistes and an Allagash Black fit the bill nicely. Service was competent and unobtrusive. They give you a rather good little bowl of bar nuts. As of Sept ’15, Tue-Thur 7−9pm ReBar has a posh happy hour with( ) Glass of Dom Perignon $ 25 Glass of Dom Perignon + 6 oysters $ 30 Bottle of Dom Perignon + 12 oysters $ 120

Stopped in here for a few drinks + snacks. Beautiful building, beautiful bar, excellent location. Can’t beat it for having a few drinks while sitting overlooking the Chicago river and watching the boats go by.

Expectations are everything when it comes to Rebar. We purchased a Groupon good for three apps and two cocktails, and showed up on a Thursday evening. We figured that what you’re paying for at Rebar is the ambiance, and expected a super upscale and swanky place with an awesome view. Instead, Rebar looks like a Vegas hotel lobby — seriously. The furniture is bland and spaced out too far apart, the place was not particularly stylish at all, and all of the veneers throughout the entire restaurant are faux and a bit cheesy. The only thing that met our expectations was that there was a nice view of the Chicago river below — but keep in mind you’re only on the second floor here. Cocktails were strong(you won’t get gipped on alcohol content) but did not blow our minds by any means. The non-groupon price for these drinks is just absurd and completely unsubstantiated, especially given the ambiance let-down. Food was a mixed bag, mostly meh: 1) Yellowfin Tuna Tartar(gf): lemongrass, ginger, pickled watermelon rind. This was probably my favorite thing that we ordered. It was good. 2) Pepperoni & Gouda pepperoni flatbread: melted gouda, san marzano. This was exquisitely mediocre. Go to domino’s and buy 3 full sized pizzas for the same price. 3) Shrimp & Lobster Dumplings with crispy leeks, lobster bisque. This was straight up bad. Our server was nice but kind of aggressive. We will definitely never be back to this place. Complete letdown — not even worth the Groupon price we paid.

This place is a great place to go for drinks and watch the fireworks on a Friday or Saturday night. Juan is an amazing waiter. He was very attentive, patient and informative. He had great suggestions for drinks and provided fantastic service! The drinks seemed strong enough, but are pricey. The waiter provided snacks throughout the evening. Great time! Great place! Will be back!

Rebar is obviously a place to go for the«Trump experience»(not the«Trump experience» of having served your country as a tortured POW). It’s class all the way which includes those little courtesies and niceties that used to be commonplace. The drinks are impressive in their originality, but seem to be really light on the booze. It’s a marvelous place in many ways. I don’t mind paying for a great experience, but the price here just doesn’t match up. But that’s a personal preference.

rebar is what I would expect of Trump, classy and pricey. My husband and I stopped into rebar to have a few drinks before going to dinner. We were there on a weeknight around 7PM and it was not very crowded. The atmosphere was modern and cozy. Our server was polite, conversational without being overbearing, and never hovered, but was on top of our empty glasses. We enjoyed our romantic moment and will go back next time we are in Chicago.

Trump Sling — Very Tasty and only $ 17! Okay, that’s expensive, but it is the Trump Hotel. Great place for refreshments after work!

Stopped in for a drink and a quick snack late Sunday afternoon. Our server was great at accommodating my 80yr old mom who doesn’t know anything about cocktails :) !! Visited April 2015

This place is great! We were sat at a table facing east next to the floor to ceiling windows. Beautiful view! Nice spot for pictures. The cocktails are well made and not too pricey. Ranging from $ 13 – 18 The servers are all very nice and were super on top of refilling our olives and popcorn. We didn’t try the food since we were headed to a different spot for dinner after.

Amazing. Darn you, Chicago! Darn you, Rebar! You and your fine dining and your inspired drinks… How are tourists suppose to be satisfied with anything else once they’ve gone back home? You’re a hotel bar and have the nerve, the absolute nerve, to serve drinks that are this tasty? For shame. You set the bar impossibly high for your competition. It’s far from a fair fight. The $ 16 «Brooklyn» was Completely. Worth. Every. Cent. My companion had the Pisco Negroni. I took a sip, of course. Delightful, even if a bit strong for my tastes. And, for the record, service was efficient, quick, pleasant, & professional. Demeanor matched the upscale atmosphere. A solid 5-stars.

Stunning views for delicious after dinner drinks! Very expensive but worth it for a special occasion. The only negative I would give Rebar would be the service, our waitress seemed flustered and was slow to check on us throughout the night.

This gorgeous bar is on the mezzanine level of the Trump International Hotel & Tower. Very chic and cosmopolitan décor with stunning city views. Drink selections are well chosen. Food menu also has a good variety. The pepperoni and gouda flatbread was shockingly delicious! Braised shortrib sliders were great. Lamb meatballs were average. Rebar is pricey(drinks and appetizers ~$ 22 each), but that’s to be expected. We had a fabulous time.

I went to Trump’s rooftop last time I was here, but it was closed last night due to the cold weather! So, we checked out Rebar inside. It’s a pretty spot with a great view of the water, and they give you loads of olives and jalapeño white cheddar popcorn to munch on! That popcorn was SUPER addicting, btw! Drinks are pricey as assumed. I got their merry berry nonalcoholic drink which was super pretty with a hibiscus flower on top! Hee heeee.
