Just moved out of my 1 bedroom apartment with too much stuff. I found the manager Hector to be very helpful. He has been proactive in contacting me to let me know that I had an overdue bill, and is quick to offer suggestions for making your move-​in and storage experience a little less painful, as moving is always such a joy …

I just moved out of the Public storage location on Ashland and while the building is in poor condition I stayed in the storage unit because of the employees who work there. I’ve had Rafael call me on the weekends alerting me that I forgot to lock my unit and he’s gone out of his way to make me feel welcome. I’m going to miss my new buddy Rafael and Pina and their great customer service.

I went to this public storage and as soon as I come this young lady by the name of Pina was so friendly professional pleasant vibrant knew her information answer all of my questions. Pina was very informative she greeted with a smile. Pina explained our lease agreement very
Good. Pina also should us how to use the access code. Pina told us about the insurance. Pina also showed us more than one storage that would fit our needs. Will recommend Pina and that property’.

Renting a storage unit is often necessary during transitionary times like moving, so it’s great that these guys make it easy because moving sucks enough already! Hector and Brianne were very helpful and everything went smoothly! My storage unit had a large window and a beautiful view of the sunset over the west side, which I’m sure my desk and couch and books enjoyed very much during their stay.

Rented a medium sized storage unit here. Rafael and Hector were super friendly and helpful! There are 5 floors and a basement level. Rafael moved me from the basement to the 5^th floor for just $ 12 more for my rental period. Would gladly recommend this place to friends and family.

I was forced to put my things into storage at the last minute, due to an inconsiderate tenant who refused to vacate the apartment I’d rented. I scrambled to find a storage site that was near the neighborhood where I was supposed to move and luckily, I found this Public Storage. I was greeted and helped by Rafael, who took his time showing me multiple units to see which one would be the best fit for all of my belongings. He was patient and curteous the entire time, and was super quick during check out. Upon moving in, Hector was so kind and his playful attitude really helped to brighten my mood. I appreciated his jokes and banter and also his helpfulness in providing extra things I needed to clear out my U-​Haul truck. I have finally moved into my apartment, but without the help of these guys at Public Storage, my day would have been a lot worse!

We moved from AZ to IL last year, and used this location to store all our stuff while looking for a house. Right off the bat, Rafael was a breath of fresh air. He took the time to show us all the different units available and answer all our questions. The facility was spotless, safe, and the staff up front were always super friendly.
The nicest thing was that Rafael would greet us by name every time we came to the storage unit. He really takes the time to get to know his customers. That’s more customer service than we ever expected at a storage facility. You guys are awesome!

I’ve used storage in the past and it can be a cold experience literally and figuratively. However, my experience here was pleasant from the start thanks to one of the managers, Rafael. He provided very good customer service from the start and made moving in and all the paperwork much more enjoyable. Good service is expected when you first sign papers but each time I returned to the unit, he exemplified excellent service. He was helpful and when moving a few items on multiple visits he even helped me with a few of the heavier boxes. If good service and clean units are important to you this is the place.

The employees here are very nice and friendly especially Raphael. We moved to Jersey City for a job and needed to put some of the contents of our 1 bedroom apartment into storage. The ONLY reason I am giving this a bad review is because we moved in November 2011. It is now June of 2013. Our rent for our 10X10 space has risen twice in a year and a half. When we first rented the unit we wanted to pay less than $ 100 a month in rent for storage. Our unit was $ 91, then there was a $ 12 increase to $ 103, and then a $ 14 increase to $ 117. The prices are rising and each time the percentage is more. We might be in Jersey City longer than we thought, so at the rate we’re going in a year or two our rent could be $ 200 or more. You would think that the longer you stay with a company the better they would treat you, but it seems to be the opposite in the storage business. My husband and I are now looking to move to a better storage company or at least take a lot of our stuff out and move the remainder to a much smaller unit within the building.

I have been a customer at this facility for nine years and I am very pleased. The level of security after remodelling a few years ago is excellent. I live in California and the manager, Rafael, has been extremely helpful from long distance. When the renovation was occurring, he helped me arrange for the transfer of my goods to a new storage space by long distance. I highly recommend this facility.
