I ordered from this restaurant for the first time last night and spent $ 35 on a food that arrived cold. I also ordered buffalo wings and a Caesar salad. The wings seemed under-done and the salad left a little to be desired. As a trained chef, I was very disappointed with the food here and the service!!!

Sadly, we like their food. It appears not too many do. Anyway, ordered pizza a couple weeks ago. Took two hours plus to get it. Called several times for updates, was lied to about new delivery time. Just as pizza arrived, dude on phone said he would credit us back for our charge. Of course, he lied. Charge still went thru. Tried to dispute with Chase but they suck and can’t do anything«because we received service». That is debatable. Anyway, the people answering the phones there(at Papas, but some at Chase too) are complete morons and apparently the manager on duty doesn’t arrive until 11 or 12pm. Quite the shift considering they close at 4. Don’t work took hard! Done with Papas, may they truly close permanently.

Wow. Cheese pizza and 2.25 per topping. Very pricey and my 12 inch pizza came with exactly 10 pieces of pepperoni and 10 pieces of sausage. Parts of the pizza had zero toppings. The crust was quite good. Most the crust was good because there was no toppings like cheese or pepperoni or the sausage i ordered. Thus one has an unadulterated crust only experience. Paid on grub hub and gave a 15 percent tip. Never again. Driver called me and sounded like he was the knight rider in Mad Max. Yelling at me that he would be there in 2 minutes and i should come down because hee does not deliver. That really is insulting. Here the driver on the order get 4 bucks for deliver and almost 5 extra from my 15% tip and he calls yelling at me that he doesnt want to deliver. Second part of the order was a 5 piece Jumbo chicken wings. Well there are 4 pieces. And Jumbo must mean really small because these look like they come from a dwarf chicken. So if you feel like paying a premium for toppings you wont get, getting yelled at by drivers who dont appreciate 9 dollars worth of eelivery fee and tip, and dwarf chicken parts which someone left out the 5th piece… then this is the restaurantfor you. The get one star for being open and delivering at 3:30 in the morning. But for 38 plus dollars including a GENEROUS tip i expected 1) pizza actually has toppings 2) the delivery person be appreciative and not scream at me he wont walk up the 8 steps to my door and 3) jumbo should be at least large and 5 pieces should not be 4. As a final insult i called the store who promptly left me on hold for 35minutes. I will never again order from the establishment and recommend no one else does either. Lastly for my JUMBO mini chicken legs of 4 not 5 pieces. I ordered hot and with sauce on the side. I got ZERO celery stick, bbq, and no sauce. Thank yoy for not delivering what i paid you for and for being rude on top of that.

I wish I could give zero stars. I ordered last night from Grubhub and should have checked Unilocal first. It took almost 2 hours for a pizza and fries to arrive and both were so bad that we couldn’t eat either. The pizza looked like it had been shaken around the topping was all over the box, it was so greasy that the grease had actually come through the box to the underneath and the dough was completely raw. At $ 24 for a pizza I was completely disgusted. The fries were raw, there was ketchup packages all mixed in with the fries which also seems really unhygienic. Pretty nasty all in all. I called grubhub and got a partial refund from the ‘restaurant’, not 100% as it should have been. Save your money and go to 7 Eleven instead!

** ALERT*** This location is now closed but they didn’t bother noting it anywhere!** This place’s service had been steadily declining over the last few years and now ends with them closing but posting NOTHING on their door(as of last Thursday… when, apparently, they have been closed for two weeks) and rerouting the phone number, with no note of this, to their Skokie location. I waited a few days to post my review so as to be able to explain calmly and rationally what happened. I called Thursday night to order a pizza. The same gruff person, who is very difficult to understand on the phone, and seems to have just as much difficulty understanding the caller, answered and never bothered telling me this. He just took my order and told me that my pizza would be ready in 15 minutes. There I am, 15 minutes later, standing in front of a dark storefront, with a locked door and the ONLY reason I knew they had closed the location was the guy who runs the place next door happened to be walking up to his place, told me and said that they closed and were routing the calls. I knew I had called the right number because I called directly from their website which, oddly, ALSO doesn’t show this location is closed. 1. Had I known I was calling Skokie, I never would have ordered, 2. I wasted time and had to find out from someone who didn’t even work for Papa Romeo’s that they were closed and 3. When I called the number again, the guy who answered(different guy) didn’t bother apologizing, and his only response was«yeah that location has been closed for two weeks, they just haven’t had a chance to update the website.» Um thanks?!? Like I order pizza every other day and should just KNOW this? If you close your location, post a sign on the door, make sure your website is updated, DON’T just reroute calls without telling someone their call has been rerouted, especially when they’re actually calling a location twenty minutes away and DON’T use a «well DUH, and??» tone with the person when they call ticked off that they just unknowingly showed up to an empty storefront. This is Chicago. There are a million and one options when it comes to ordering pizza, so, frankly, they should try focusing on good customer service or will eventually find all the locations need to be closed. The pizza is good but not good enough to sustain the business without it.

Delivery to 4am? Ordered pizza at midnight. Tried to call the restaurant after an hour to find out where my order was. There was no answer. Followed up with a few more calls. Gave up after 2 hours. Got a call at 3am saying that my pizza was outside.

The customer service situation here is absolutely horrific. I walked in for my pick up and was glared at from all sides and ignored for a few minutes before someone deigned to speak to me. On top of that, they charged me for a side that, it turns out, was not in stock. The pizza is… fine. It’s a greasy, late night pizza mess. But I’d suggest ordering from literally anywhere else. ANYWHERE. Especially now that you know they’ve been CLOSEDFORHEALTHCODEVIOLATIONS. Eeeeuuuggghhh.

I’ve avoided ordering from Papa Romeo’s before because of issues with them overcharging my credit card, but tonight we figured we’d take the risk just so we could get some food quickly. Big mistake. The gyro platter that my roommate ordered came nearly cold, with tough meat AND pita bread. He’d also ordered extra meat and sauce, neither of which he hot. His fries were completely cold.(How it had a chance to GET cold is beyond me, as the restaurant itself is just down the street — we could’ve WALKED it back and it still would’ve been hot, if it had started that way to but begin with.) But the biggest problem was the so-called half-pound of Buffalo shrimp which was supposed to come with cocktail sauce. Not only was there no cocktail sauce, there were only EIGHTSHRIMP — and all eight were cold. We made the order through GrubHub, and when we called to complain, the operator at GrubHub couldn’t get through to them because they weren’t answering the phone! We got $ 10 from GrubHub for our troubles, but that doesn’t change the fact that we will NEVER order from this restaurant again — and nor should you. If they’re not willing to answer the phone when GrubHub calls them, I’d say that’s a good sign they get such calls all the time, and that can’t be good — much like their food, in fact. These people are con men, not restaurateurs. You can do far better, and I only wish we had.

I can’t find anything bad to really say, but I can’t really find anything good to say either. It’s pizza. Low quality compared to J.B.‘s, but a good alternative when I’m in a pinch.

Ding-dong, the scam is dead. Currently shut down due to health code violations, if the neighborhood is lucky, this place won’t reopen. While the pizza was fine when it showed up, they constantly lied to their customers about prices, were categorically rude, and absolutely disgusting — the last of which the City of Chicago will back me up on. I do not expect a lot from a fast and loose pizza joint. Rude — fine, as long as they’re cheap. Expensive — ok, just get it here in a reasonable time. Late — as long as everything in my order arrived. Wrong items — it happens, as long as they make an effort to correct their error. Oh right — I forgot about rude. Indignant and vile, does not a neighborhood favorite make. Good riddance, Papa Romeo’s. Good riddance to your innumerable flyers littering the street, good riddance to your obnoxiously loud television blaring onto Clark until 4 am every morning, and good riddance to your apparently insect-laden, no-cooler-having, detritus-clogged establishment. May you go the way of the Wing Stop before you.

unfortunately i have to give them at least 1 star. they would be a candidate for negative. by far the worst late night pizza place there is. ordered at 245 didnt recieve pizza until after 5 am. the pizza was nasty and cold and i decided not to tip the rude driver. for one i never signed any reciept for the charge, and also didnt leave a tip on the reciept. i check my bank statement and lo and behold the driver gives himself a $ 3 tip. this was 2 weeks ago im still disputing with them over 3 stupid dollars. as i can see with other reviews im not alone in my sentiment. Do not go here. the pizza stinks the service is worse and they just might steal from you…

Worst place ever! I called and ordered a pizza for delivery. I gave my credit card number and then after receiving my pizza the guy ask for money. I told him I paid over the phone and he said ok. Ten mins later my phone rings and I’m being lectured on how I did not pay and screamed and cursed at. I was so overwhelmed I proceeded to pay again. In not happy with this interaction and will never order from here again!

Your looking at the clock and it’s pushing 3AM. You want food and you find Papa Romeo’s is open(grubhubbed it). You think about pizza, sammiches, etc. LISTENTOME! Do not do it. Go into your own fridge or cupboard and make eggs and toast, have a bowl of cereal, eat cardboard — whatever! But don’t order from here. It is really bad. Greasy and floppy and sick — worst pizza I have ever, ever, ever had and way, way, way too pricey. Icky poop.

The good here is pretty good. The pizza is pretty delicious, the side orders are solid, and the cheesy bread is really yummy. The problem is the prices. A couple of pizzas and the aforementioned cheesy bread will have you looking at at least a $ 50 dollar bill. While there are coupons available, every time I try to use one, I’m told that they’ve changed it and it’s five dollars more expensive. The problem is that they leave coupons on my street about once a month, which is a little annoying. Plus, I’ve ordered a soda from them a couple of times, and it’s never once been the right one. For a while, I only got Orange Crush. Last time, when I ordered Crush, I got Pepsi. You know, for the irony.

I’ll never order from here again… When order was placed I was told it would take 40 minutes to receive. It took An Hour and 45 mins to receive. When I called back to complain that my pizza was COLD(Not warm, but Cold) they told me I lived too far(even though I was Clearly less than 3 miles away) and that there was nothing they could do about it. The person that I spoke with who claimed to be a «manager» couldn’t speak a lick of English and what I Was able to make out, wasn’t very nice at all. The ppl taking orders, the managers and the delivery drivers were unprofessional.

I tried this place with a friend and at first sight this is surely a place that I would skip over However, because I was with a friend who raved about the place I gave it a try. The price was great 3 topping personal pizza for 7 bucks with a soda. The pizza was so delicious I can’t even tell you.

So, I just spent $ 70 on a couple pizzas and some cheesy bread(basically another pizza). For that price they better be the best pizzas in the world, but they were good. That’s it. They were good. But I can order«good» pizza for a lot less than this. I probably won’t order from here again but I can’t say it isn’t satisfying.
