Sooo I always go to Palermos for their sweet sauce of course! and for the eggplant parmesan party trays, mmm sooo delicious, but there have been several occasions where I’ve had the worst of services! so on this one occassion I ordered an eggplant parmesan and received the chicken parmesan instead which isn’t that good, but the point is that when I called the lady who took my order she refused to admit that it had been their mistake. The owner then gets on the phone and asks if I even know what an eggplant is and everything just went downhill from there. 20 minutes later the owner calls, apologizes and offers a refund which I unfortunately never received! The refund at this point doesn’t matter, it’s just the fact that owner would take that kind of attitude with a regular paying customer who always tips! Then I decided to give them another chance and got an xlarge sausage pizza which was burnt and old! it’s like they had given me pizza from 2 days ago, ergo the horrible review. I used to love Palermos, but now I’d rather give another pizza business my money.

This place’s sauce is the best you’ll ever have. This place is the reason why I was obese as a child. I’m pretty sure Frank’s kids were put through college because of me.

Sweet sauce heaven. They’ve got the best red sweet sauce around. My pizza is onions and pepperoni typically but the other day we got one with everything. Fantastic. One doesn’t come here for the décor. It’s all about the food. The mozzarella stick appetizer was great. Really. They look like egg rolls they are so large. Service is always great and the owner is really just a really good guy. We’ll be coming back again and again.

My favorite stuffed cheese pizza in Chicago. Yum. Also great stuffed clams, pasta and garlic salad dressing. They lose a point for their watered-down drinks and so-so service when dining in. I usually get take-out.

Best pizza in the south side of Chicago. Have been going there for years. The delivery staff is great as well as their customer service is the best.

One word: SAUCE. The sauce is sweet, delicious, complex, and amazing. The sauce is definitely the best part of the pizza at this south side institution. The cheese/crust/toppings might not be anything particularly special but they’re good enough and they really just exist to revolve around the sweet, sweet sauce. The restaurant itself is homey, spacious, and nice. Service is good. If you go enough, they’ll remember you :).

My husband took me here when we first starting dating 32 years ago. Since then, we have brought family and friends, we all agree… BEST pizza ever!!! The waitress is always stunned by the amount of pizzas we get and never any leftover. We drive about an hour to get here and it’s worth it. Always make sure to bring home some semi frozen for another day. Stuffed artichokes, baked clams and pasta are good too!

This place did not live up to the hype. I moved to the area almost 2 years ago and have been trying to find a really good pizza place. Palermos has been recommended many times by locals. This pizza was very filling and has good toppings. I ordered the thin crust sausage and pep. They had a nice portion of toppings and those were flavorful. However we get to their infamous sauce. Its a sweeter sauce which i wouldn’t mind if it had more seasoning. Maybe salt or garlic but this sauce just tasted like very bland tomato sauce with sugar. They also put alot of the sauce making this one of the messiest thin crust pizzas I have ever eaten. The crust was perfect– a great combination of crispy and chewy. Not too thick and not too thin. Overall It’s ok, not bad but ok. This place is worth a try at least once, the sauce appeals to some but just not for me. My last complaint is parking. Oh My God Horrible! They have very limited street parking and a very cramped tiny parking lot in the back. I went on a Sunday evening and almost got stuck in this packed lot.

This has been my favorite pizza place for twenty years. A quick disclaimer though: If you do not like SWEET sauce, you will not like this pizza. I am a sweet sauce fanatic, which makes this the perfect pie for me. All of the toppings are fresh, the dough has a perfect balance of crust/chew, and the cheese melts flawlessly. But make no mistake about it, the SAUCE is the star of the show. It is addicting, and I could honestly eat it out of a pan by itself. All of the food here is really good.(but it you go to Palermo’s, you go for the pizza) Period.

Still the BEST Chicago pizza, I love how their sauce is so sweet. Had a great catering experience with this establishment too. Love the cheese Ravioli.

So I have been ordering delivery from this place for over a decade to the SAME address and magically today they tell me they do not deliver to my address. When I tell her I have been a customer forever she puts me on hold and says it will be 2 hour wait. That is crazy. I will be taking my business elsewhere

I love their sweet sauce. It’s sweet. And delicious if you pair it with a savory or spicy topping or two. Generous portion of cheese and the crust is classic Chicago style thin crust. Plus it’s cut in rectangles. I am biased, I’ve got history. My dads family is from this neighborhood, I think my aunt even worked here. When I first introduced my girlfriend go Chicago thin crust, it was here. We make the drive from wherever we are. But when I think Chicago south side pizza, I think here and Vito and nicks. And that’s saying something. Summary: Classic stuff, sweet sauce, cut in rectangles. Plus the Miller Genuine Draft is cheap. Only bummer is that they don’t open for lunch. Would be a convenient stop when meeting someone at Midway or close to it.

I Absolutly LOVE their sweet tomato sauce. The only bummer is that they open so late. I guess it is because they close late as well. I had an issue with one of their delivery guys that was a douchbag but that is not really their fault. All the pastas are great. The pizza is awesome. The onion rings are home made which is always nice. I have also attended an event they catered and all the food was delicious. Just make sure you do not confuse this place with the Palermo on 95th. I have personally never been there but I know they are not afiliated. Overall… I recommend this place for both carry out, dinning in and catering. Family owned restarant’s are always better in my opinion and this one is no exception.

Fuck this place horrible customer service and delivery time sucks. If it takes you 2 hours to deliver a pizza when other places can do it in 30⁄60 then you have a problem you need to address. I don’t care how busy it gets, then hire more drivers!!!

Hands down favorite of regular thin crust… this is not the cracker thin crust of a Vito and Nick’s, but sometimes I crave something a little thicker without being stuffed or deep dish. They have deep dish and stuffed, but that’s not why I would come here. I gotta say, that I think it’s the sauce that keeps me coming back for more. It’s almost sweet, without being too sweet. I grew up on this pizza, it was a regular Friday night thing for me. I remember eating there a few times, but usually it was pickup or delivery. I live in Aurora, but would drive back to Chicago for this pizza… it’s that good. And once my taste buds start firing up for Palermo’s nothing else will satisfy me. Don’t for one second think this is not going to a sloppy pizza… I am so tempted to wear a bib when I eat here cause I will always get that delicious nectar of the gods that is there sauce all over me. Maybe I should just keep a spare shirt in the car for those days. You haven’t had thin crust pizza if you haven’t had Palermo’s…(I should do a commercial for them.)

Delicious sweet sauce that makes your mouth water. Ordered a stuff sausage and mushroom. Stuff pizza is served with their signature sauce on the top of the pie. Doesn’t hide the sauce under the cheese. It’s Amazing! This Palermo’s is better then the Palermo’s on 95th.
